Want to beef up your Kreon Combiner Constructicons? Then slap these fancy duds on them!

(Made upon the request of Wulongti...who also has some fancy Constructikreon parts he's working on...)

UPDATE:

I actually think the chests on the upcoming Arielbot set look fine, but here's some more vests in case you don't:

Update Again:

Making these vests must tap into the same part of my brain that responds to match-three puzzle games...I can't stop myself...

WOW! I am really impressed with how quickly you're cranking all these out man. I'm sorely jealous and tempted to forego my freelance stuff (and maybe work and family?) to keep working on these kits!

And they look great too! I love the Long Haul one and at first I was thinking that it's so big in the front that it would be impossible to keep that vest in the alt mode I have planned... BUT, can a neck post fit through the hole in the back? If it can then that'd be awesome as the front of the dump truck. If not.. then I'll have to think of something else... lol

Most of these look like they'd be too big to work in the alt mode, but for bot mode they look fantastic.

Are you going to be working on the Preds as well?

Update: here's what I got thought up so far -

These are all based on the likenesses in the cartoon and Marvel comics, neither of which were particularly interested in retaining the physics necessary for getting Transformers from one mode to the next.

That being said, I can pretty easily toss together a customized-custom (a double-custom!) Long Haul with a deep, 4.9mm port on the back of the chest plate. Actually, if I get rid of the neck brace and the back stud, you could probably attach it to a Lego neckbrace and then slide it over the neck stem when you want.

My suspicion is, however, that most people willing to pay for and then paint these vests would not want to be transforming their Kreons...and they'd probably be just as likely to buy a second Kreon to have in the alt mode. (Remember, kids, Shapeways products are not toys and should not be given to children to play with. They are for decorative and display purposes only.)

I'm glad you got that out of the way, I was worried that people might actually try to play w/ the stuff we're working on XD

I suspect that you are correct though that most folks that would be interested in such vests are not overly interested in having them transform.

As for long haul, the idea was that if there was a large enough hole in the back then you could slip it over the neck post so the truck front would be facing up. flip the arms up and put wheels in the hands. put wheels in the thighs and then attach my dump bed to the back of the legs. Maybe... if the things line up like they do in my head.. lol

Maybe we'll just keep things as-is rather than trying to work the two ideas together... KISS and all that.

Just started working on the Preds. I have a new feline head suitable for Razorclaw and Rampage. It projects a little too far off of the chest, but I figure it also needs to slip over the neck stem (which is about 6mm long, right?). It should be able to attach to a neck brace with the stud facing to the front. I guess I could attach a neck brace off the back of the head, which could then be used to attach back-mounted weapons in beast mode. I also have a new Tantrum head...two versions: one could be gutted to serve as a helmet, the other has a face built into the the bull's neck. I'll probably do the same for Divebomb next, since it is probably the most egregiously off-the-mark head of the bunch. I actually think the Headstrong head makes sense how Hasbro did it, so I don't think it needs a revision.
