The first thing I thought of when I seen it was that old Undertaker "T" logo...

It's photoshopped.

Art submitted does not have to be the actual coverart. But could be an early version. A work in progress. At that stage, they're all photoshops, in a manner of speaking.

Geez, even if it IS official, they could've put some effort into it at least. Darkening the F or brightening the T, making sure that no one sees he seam between them, and some non Star Wars font, preferably something similar to the movie logo font, would've gone a long way towards making it seem the least bit real.

Yeah, I think this is a mock up of the actual cover. I guess it's just IDW trying to keep the robot looks underwraps as much as possible.
