Damn shortage of gas!

So apperently there's some huge calamity with a gas shortage today. This bugs me for a few reasons.

1. I have an important job interview tomorrow, and apperently there is a large strip of that drive (2 hours) that doesn't have any gas left. If you know the area, it's from Bowmanville to Whitpy. My job interview is in Mississaga.

2. My boss as of now lives in that "belt" that has no gas and if she can't drive up to where I am, I don't get my pay cheque tomorrow and thusly can't pay rent on thursday. I also would like to use that money to fill my gas tank. Apperently in Peterborough there is plenty of gas. Unfortunately for my boss her husband has been driving around all day looking for gas to the point where he's almost wasted the contents of the tank. Now my boss doesn't even have enough to make it to Peterborough to fill her tank!

:-x :-x :-x

I am very frustraited at the moment, my spelling may be off and I'm prolly comming off very irrational, but I needed to vent...

How many other people is the affecting by the way?

Pay some kids to syphon some from your neighbours. You get your petrol and if they dob you in it doesn't matter because nobody beleives kids. ;)^

That sounds like it was down here after hurricane Katrina..
When we drove back down from Alabama 5 days after the storm to get some personal items there was not a gas station in Mississippi that had gas.

Dude, they don't have direct deposit there? I wouldn't work at a place that doesn't just for those reasons. I like getting paid when I'm suppose to get paid.

Usually I would also look for the direct deposit route, but I get paid under the table. I work ugh... at a craft store... but it's my best friends moms place and she asked me to work for her while I'm in college. For the most part it has worked out better then having direct deposit, but because of this snag I am somewhat pooched.

I did manage to find a gas station that still had gas on my way home so I filled up. I'm hoping that because where I'm going is close to Toronto there won't be a problem finding a gas station that still has some fuel. Wish me luck :?

Nepa-whosit?

I talked to a friend that works there and she seemed pretty concerned it I asked for the interview to be pushed back again. Looks like I have no choice but to suck it up and roll with it. Should be fun.[/url]

I was talking with a Engineer working on Hydrogen celled cars. It is interesting to learn that the bi-product will be 02, H2 and Water vapor. He told me that scientists are concerned because too many hydrogen cars in a concentrated are will likely cause mini-globally warming effects.

I'm sure that if you called/went to your landlord and explained, he/she may cut you some slack. Especially if you are usually reliable. I've had a similar instance, and that was all it took. They gave me a 2-day extension and waived the late fee.

It is a b*&^tch, I know. Best of luck.

Well after a busy and hectic day, I came out on top! I got my paycheque on time, made it to the interview on time and wowwed them in the interview. They even called me on my cell 20 mintues later to thank me for coming and to expect a call within the next week for my second interview. I felt pretty good, so I went and bought a few (too many) Transfoermrs. I talked to my landlord the other night and he was fine with it, but I have the funds now so I'll call him tomorrow mornign and give him the go ahead.

I feel great!
