Dan Riordan as Megs...That would be perfect

Postby Venomous Prime » Thu Mar 08, 2007 1:22 pm

Motto: "You don't know peace until you've had suffering"
Weapon: Double Venom Lasers
While all you people are going "Welker! Welker! Welker!" and a few of you going "Kaye!" "Kaye!" "Kaye!"

Have any of you stopped to consider Dan Riordan?

Think about it, watch an episode of RiD and when he talks.

That voice MATCHES MOVIE MEGS!

Honestly, I can't see Kaye or Welker doing as good as Riordan

I can't speak for other people, but Dan Riordan's Megatron has been my least favorite Megatron voice to date.

Dan makes a pretty vicious Megatron. But he is no Frank Welker!

That's my opinion, too. Welker ranks 1st, Kaye 2nd, and Riordan 3rd.

I think that Kaye's voice is too sophisticated for the Megatron these film makers are trying to portray. His voice better suits a thoughtful, intelligent villian. Frank Welkers voice fits, I think, but I rmember hearing a clip of him doing the Megatron voice during an interview and it lacked the force that he used to display. I suppose Riordan would be fine for the role. I never truly considered him.

i tend to agree with this sentament.

his voice was just an atypicle over-the-top monsterouse villan type. i think i might have liked it better if the character himself wasnt so retarded.

toy was incredible, character stood in one spot and did nothing but bitch.

personaly, i think monster movie megatron should sound like that guy from that clip of family guy were peter was talking about the white mans dialoge in a spike lee movie.

Doesn't matter to me, as long as he sounds powerful and menacing.

For the record, I did love the RiD cartoon. The DVD sets are my prized possessions, especially with Neil Kaplan having signed them. 8)

I did like the RiD Megatron/Galvatron. But I'd take even Gary Chalk's Megatron voice from Beast Wars over Dan Riordan's version any day.
