Remember last month when nelson the admin on Michael Bay's Shoot for the Edit forums told us to expect the next Transformers DOTM trailer in mid to late April? Looks like he was right on the money. Director Michael Bay stopped by Shoot for the Edit today with this update:

The post process is going very well - way better then ROTF. We have massive shots but we got going 6 months earlier on this film then the last. We jump very hard and fast on post in this film.

It really is looking special. The 3D will the best 3D of any movie this year.

Our trailer comes out next week on Fast and a bunch of other stuff. 3D trailer comes out on the next 3D movie out which is Pirates.

"Fast Five" releases on April 29th (21st in the UK) and "Pirates of the Caribbean: OST" releases May 20th (18th in the UK).

I had to look up what Fast Five was. In case anyone else was wondering, it's that Fast and Furious sequel with the Rock. Looks OK. I might not mind going to see it, just to see the Transformers trailer.

Im looking foward to Fast Five; if it's at least as good as the last one, which was better than the second and third by far, then I'll like it. And of course the new Transformers trailer helps the cause.
I'm also looking foward to Pirates 4, but not in 3D. I feel like 3D is a little overrated for the most part and it can give me a headache.

That's nice to know. Someone on the crew said the 3D footage either needed a reshoot or loads of post production.

dont you mean extreamly overused / with overrated in films today added to it never experainced headache form 3d but tired of hearing about YES feels like pokemon trading card game only with movies pokemon card game eventurally died out what are people going to do IF this happens to 3d.?

Yeah it is overused with movies and I am tired of hearing about it, especially when theatres put the movie you want to see on the big screen for 3D, but you want to see it in 2D, so you have to pay the normal amount for a smaller screen. I get headaches from the movies with bad 3D, like Clash of the Titans, maybe because I wear contacts or something. As far as 3D being a fad, I could definitely see that happening; my Pokemon cards are in some bag in my Mom's attic.

Depends on how the film was made in 3D. Films converted from 2D to 3D are, indeed, headache inducing. Films made on 3D cameras tend to do just fine. The majority of 3D films use the former process because it's cheaper than using expensive 3D cameras.

Mind you, I also think 3D is overused, but half the time you can't get a film greenlit without making it 3D nowadays. The blame for this falls strictly with the executives.

I've never gotten a headache from 3D. The 3D thing is just a bonus, if you don't like it, you don't have to see it. I hate when everyone doesn't like something then they complain about it like they're forced to use it. You don't have to do crap!

Alberta Film Ratings has provided a little more information on the new Transformers DOTM movie trailer scheduled to release on April 29th with Fast Five and be available online at Apple trailers on April 28th at 7:00 EST. According their Recently Classified Trailers, Commercials and PSAs section the trailer will be rated PG and clock in at 2 minutes and 24 seconds.

Well now I have a reason to see a fast and the furious sequel. So 2 hours and 10$ for a 2 1/2 trailer
Can't wait to the 28th though, imma be all over that.

Just to get some hopes up 4 the DOTM trailer release . According to bbfc ( british board of film classifiction) they have a post on their website with TRAILER transformers dark of the moon , classified 21/3/2011 , this site was updated yesterday to read this info and im going to see FAST 5 in 1 hr 20 mins so ill post back if the trailer was seen in the cinema . On the page the cast name is wrong . here's the link

Just to let u know i saw it and there was No trailer unfortunately . dunno if my cinema didnt get it or suming so if it was released today in uk it will probs surface online within next days
