We know for a fact he is; while he rarely ever actually takes part in the show, it's made pretty clear that he's off doing in his thing while Supergirl is the focus of the show.

yes indeed, we can be 100% sure that the universe supergirl comes from has a superman

we have seen him in one episode, and in the opening or each episode so far, although the image of him is never very clear

How exactly is it established?

All we know is that Grant Gustin is to appear in Supergirl, whether he plays FlArrowverse Flash is yet to be seen.

Sorry, I didn't make myself very clear but I did like your idea :-) meta in this case was referring to flash being a show on supergirls earth.

I never really discounted it as a possibility, and I watched a few different scenes as though it were true. Really does bring out the already inherent Yulaw parallels in Zoom. Especially since Masked Man is probably yet another Jay Garrick, who was just trying to tell Barry his name.

Andrew Kreisberg confirmed that Zoom is the Jay Garrick we've been seeing interact with the team this whole time. Which really raises way more questions than it answers.
