Thunderwing followed after Shockwave as he explained some of his reasoning. It made sense that the Justice Division would not be showing up in person, but drawing their attention like this was still a risk. It perhaps showed a weakness, or perceived weakness, in Shockwave’s leadership. He felt the need to legitimize himself with official proceedings and ceremonies like this trial. Perhaps in his mind putting Starscream on an ‘official’ trial where he was found guilty and then executed would help win him some support among the other ranks, particularly the seekers. They would see that Starscream had been wrong and come under his leadership. It was the type of cold logic that Shockwave would use.

While there was some merit behind his thinking it wouldn’t fully work. It was Razorclaw who had truly beaten Starscream. Shockwave might end up killing him, but he would serve as little more then a tool in his death. While some Decepticons might respect him for going through ‘legitimate’ channels to put down the seeker, others would see it as cowardly. Shockwave wasn’t assuming command as some warriors would like to see it, he was simply adopting it. Megatron had shown that leadership was something that must be earned, that must be fought for and won. Shockwave’s maneuvering wasn’t likely to earn him much respect in some corners of the Empire.

This wasn’t to say Thunderwing was above using politics. They were just one of many weapons he would use to seize command. Defeating Shockwave and bringing Razorclaw under his command would be the primary thrust however, not to mention securing the seekers once he had freed Blackwind. Unfortunately those grand plans were constantly put on hold or delayed by Shockwave’s plans and Soundwave’s omnipresence preventing communication. For now he simply followed the other Decepticons to the hangar bay.

The Decepticon entered the hangar bay behind Shockwave, standing off to the side as he began to bring things to order

*

With the confrontation fully concluded Soundwave followed Shockwave silently to the hangar bay. While he was silent he was still busy working away. On his own he would be capable of jamming any outgoing or incoming signals to the ship, he would just have to make sure to be ready to do it in an instant. It would require a greater focus of his attention then usual, but he was already planning to record and monitor the proceedings closely.

He replied to Shockwave with one word as he assembled with the other Decepticons >>”Acknowledged.”<<

*

Clutch was feeling a bit awkward at the idea of a trial. He wasn’t exactly familiar with all of the workings of such a thing. It just seemed a bit un-Decepticon like to him. Crimes and disagreements of this magnitude should be settled on the battlefield. That was the Decepticon way, or at least that’s what he had always thought. With both Shockwave and now the DJD involved he wasn’t about to argue the point. He simply took up his position by the elevator as whatever sort of bodyguard he had become for Shockwave should do.

He stifled a grunt at Knockout’s reply to his message. He should have figured the other Decepticon would find a way to weasel out of this. Of course without him here there was less chance he could get him into trouble. That would have to be his small comfort as he suffered through whatever this trial was going to shape up to be. Maybe if it ended in a massive battle he could enjoy it, but that didn’t look to be happening.

Deathdancer filed into the hangar, her excitement forming an almost palpable aura around her. She glanced around the mass of vehicons until she saw some Decepticons that were the players in this little game. Pawns didn't interest her. There was Thunderwing...Clutch...Soundwave...and of course, Shockwave, but she didn't see anyone else of note. How...disappointing. Perhaps they were planning to crash the party? It was still early though, so they would just have to see.

Deathdancer quietly hummed a discordant little tune that she'd heard from somewhere before as the rest of the viewing party took up positions around the open space. She felt vastly superior to the vehicons. After all, she'd gotten a peek at the prisoner. Who...was going to be here very soon, according to Shockwave. How delightful. Dancer decided that she'd behave for this little party. This was far too pivotal a moment in Decepticon history. Still, it left her to wondering.

Motormaster had heard Soundwave's announcement, that didn't mean the brutish Stunticon was in any hurry to drag himself into the hangar for Shockwave's little show. Not that he wouldn't have minded to see the DJD doing the their worst. In fact, he sort of hoped he'd make it to see if the Decepticon Justice Division were going to live up to their reputation. The problem was the would be victim of the DJD - Starscream. The former Air Commander was after all an ally and without him - well, at least the plans would change. It wasn't like Motormaster felt that Starscream was exactly crucial for Razorclaw's uprising to succeed.

Needless to say, he had figured out he might as well try to seek out Razorclaw before going to the hangar. It wasn't like they had that many chances to talk anyhow. The Predacons had not been in the barracks though. Perhaps they had left for the hangar or maybe... It had been nothing more than a hunch. A wild guess. And given how Divebomb, Headstrong and Rampage were here, standing in front of Shockwave's most precious - his hunch seemed to have been proven true.

"The slag yer all hanging here for? Commander Shockwave issued an order to gather into the hangar, not to loiter around looking for trouble."

"What the frag you are mumbling about? The DJD?"

"Not them. The King of Roads and his subjects. The Hunter and his pack. None of the others whom from the ship sunken came. Here they are not. Only him. Only wings of thunder."

"Tell Shockwave."

"Why? Does the ancient one not see all? Does he not know all? If this one sees what missing is..."

"Yeah yeah, I get it. He should notice himself. Fine. We'll see what happens."

Rampage didn't exactly know what to make of Motormaster's abrupt arrival outside Shocky's little sanctuary. Thankfully the cyloptic calculator was nowhere near here, and if Soundwave's most recent transmission was any indication, wouldn't be for a good, long while. That would allow Razorclaw and the others--and ultimately all of them--to do what they needed to do.

What bothered the Predacon more than the Stunticon Commander's arrival was his choice of words. Who was he to try to move them away from here and off to watch whatever Captain Charisma was doing in the hangar? Or was he just putting on a show to make it look like he was playing the dutiful lackey? If so, he was doing a good job.

"Yeah, we're goin', greaseball. Just give us a few kliks," Rampage said. "Razorclaw needed to stop off and get something first."

Like a can of whoop ass. And you're gonna get the first one if you don't shut up and move along. We've got work to do.

Knockout’s smile faltered momentarily before he quickly recovered and a plastered a replacement in its place…this one equally as dashing but much more forced. “Well, let’s just say that it packs quite the punch.” Knockout took a very brief peek over his shoulder at Razorclaw who had made himself comfortable on one of the available berths.

“As far as there being anything you and yours should be aware of…well, our very own glorified walking calculator has a bit of it himself. Sooo, whatever you’re "NOT" planning should account for that.” While the crimson and gold mechanic was speaking he had begun to prepare the transfusion apparatus. With all of the device’s parameters in check Knockout closed the short distance between he and the Predacon. “As far as any side effects…” He paused for a moment as he grabbed hold of Razorclaw’s arm and callously jammed the transfusion probe into the lion-former’s intake. “… I suppose we’ll find out soon enough, no?”

A cruel smirk passed over his visage as he engaged the device. He watched with mock concern as the ultra energon began to flow through the probe and into the intake where it would reach Razorclaw’s tanks as usable fuel. “Now, remember I’m helping you out and I can still be of help to you in the coming future. And this little incident..." Knockout gestured flamboyantly toward Blackwind's prone form before looking back at Razorclaw, "...involving Thunderwing’s little…well, I would certainly appreciate it if you would put in a good word for me.”

Razorclaw listened carefully as Knockout explained very little about what side effects the lion-former could expect once his systems ingested the ultra energon. “Packing quite the punch” as the mechanic put it was something the Predacon lord was hoping for. Anything less would simply not do. The fact that Shockwave had already taken the new fuel offered little added knowledge that Razorclaw hadn’t already gleaned from the warship’s data logs. Still, it was nice to know that if there were any adverse side effects, the Predacon Commander wouldn’t be the only one feeling them. Thus, the playing field would remain level for both sides.

“Let me worry about what I’m NOT planning,” Razorclaw responded to Knockout’s warning, not taking his optics off of the red and gold mech as the infusion probe was roughly inserted into the lion-former’s intake port located on his right arm. “You just worry about getting this infusion done right and quickly. I don't have all cycle.” Within moments, the ultra energon began to flow smoothly into his power cells which then immediately redistributed the new fuel throughout his entire body.

At first, the Predacon lord felt nothing out of the ordinary, except for a slight tingling sensation in a variety of nerve receptors. The mechanic’s concern over Thunderwing’s reaction to what had been done to Blackwind was mostly lost on the lion-former, but not entirely. Razorclaw was just more interested in feeling the new raw power that now coursed freely through his systems. “It doesn’t really feel all that different. Are you sure you’re doing it correctly?”

Just as the Predacon lord finished his query, he felt a major jolt of power, causing his HUD to light up like a human Christmas tree. Razorclaw’s entire body stiffened as the true nature of the ultra energon finally hit him at full force. The lion-former gripped the edges of the berth with both clawed hands and dug them deeply into the metal surface. Before he even realized it, Razorclaw had torn away huge chucks of the table before leaping off and letting out a deafening roar with his arms extended out to the sides. It was not a cry of pain but one of power as his optics glowed red with almost supernatural intensity.

Finally, the Predacon lord quieted down and lowered his arms as his systems adjusted nicely to the newly introduced ultra energon. A toothy grin spread underneath the lion-former’s faceshield as he turned his gaze back to the resident mechanic. “Knockout, that was exhilarating! I’ve never felt so alive before. The power, the strength, it’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced!” The Predacon Commander placed a firm clawed hand onto the red and gold mech’s shoulder plate, allowing his nails to gently touch the surface of the mechanic’s precious finish. “Now, I need you to power up Tantrum over there,” Razorclaw motioned over to the animalistic fueler. “I also need you to fill his reserve tanks to full capacity so that the rest of my team may have a taste, as well. You can do that for me, can’t you Knockout?”

“Hey! What about me?!” Skywarp bellowed from his far off corner of the labs. He had remained silent throughout the procedure, hoping beyond hopes that Razorclaw would meet his end when the new energon was fed into his body. For a very brief time that almost looked to be the case when the lion-former reacted in such a violent manner. His systems appeared to be overloading, but then unfortunately settled down. Too bad. All of the Seekers’ problems would have become null and void if the self proclaimed Predacon lord’s spark had been extinguished during this little science experiment. “Don’t me and Nightraven get to have some of this ultra energon, too?”

Razorclaw shot the teleporter a fierce glare, his optics still burning red. “You and you’re little femme will get whatever I see fit to give you, Skywarp!”

The prankster recoiled a bit at the Predacon Commander’s angry response and backed away even further into his respective corner. “Whatever.”

The lion-former took a deep intake of air as he remained focused on the purple and black flier. Whether he wanted to admit it or not, Razorclaw still needed Skywarp to teleport him back out of the labs without setting off the alarm that still secured the door. Not only that but the Predacon lord also needed as many ultra energon powered mechs on his side, even reluctant ones, that he could get. “Fine. You may drink from Tantrum once his reserves are filled, but NOT before my Predacons! Is that clearly understood?”

Without waiting to see the prankster’s simple nod of understanding, Razorclaw motioned for Tantrum to join him before returning his attention to the mechanic, his clawed hand still resting precariously on the red and gold mech’s shoulder plate. “So, Knockout, I suggest that you get started with Tantrum without further delay. Oh, and you might also want to consider putting Blackwind over there back together and then waking her up. It would certainly go a long way with appeasing Thunderwing if you helped me to save her, don’t you think?”

Razorclaw was not stupid, not by a long shot. He knew full well that if he rescued Blackwind, the Warlord might consider giving his full support to the Predacon Commander. It was certainly a gamble to say the least as waking the aerial coordinator would give Thunderwing back his biggest advocate. However, the lion-former was confident that he could ultimately sway her to his side with the promise of eliminating both Shockwave and Starscream from the picture and also granting her and Thunderwing high ranking positions within the new Predacon regime. Again, it was a gamble, but one Razorclaw was willing to take at this point.

Dead End heard the raised voices well before he saw the individuals in question--and one individual in particular that he had been expressly trying to avoid for a while. He had just been hoping to get whatever allotted amount of this superfuel they could get their hands on it, have Motormaster OD on the stuff and let the fireworks begin. As Dead End stayed comfortably out of his reach at that point.

Already, things were not going quite as he had planned.

He would have never guessed.

"Hey boss...funny seeing you here. I thought, um, I thought we were getting your recharge, yes? No? I might've misheard."

He looked up at the larger mech before looking over at Breakdown. Surely they had both heard the same thing. He didn't know how Motormaster had beat them here unless he had some Skywarpy teleportational powers that he had never known about.

Wouldn't that make their lives just peachy....

Laboratory Interior

Tantrum moved in to position without hesitation. He was just as interested in getting some of this fuel in his systems as Razorclaw seemed to be. More importantly, he would have a large amount of extra in his fuel tanks. If this stuff was as good as everybody was saying it was, Tantrum would be ready to unload on the first 'Con that crossed him the wrong way. He was ready to do that anyway, but now he wouldn't care if that 'Con was the cyclops himself.

Bring it on.

Aww, slag Rampage... not now. Headstrong thought as Rampage proceeded to reply to the Stunticon brute whom had just demanded to know what the two Predacons were doing. Those were fighting words for Motormaster and what came to Rampage - Headstrong could read the signs in his fellow Predacon's body language. Rampage was itching to start up a fight.

"What did you say runt?" Motormaster thundered with his deep, hollow baritone with doom-laden tone of an echo from a bottomless well. It was the reply Headstrong had been expecting ever since Rampage had managed to utter the word greaseball. Well, that or Motormaster just headbutting Rampage's face in. Something had to be, they didn't need this right now.

"Rampage, don't." Headstrong said and placed his hand on the smaller Predacon's shoulder. The stubborn Predacon was not known for being a voice of reason but even he had his moments. It wasn't like he was afraid of Motormaster. While he was not a courageous as some of the other Predacons, Headstrong hardly ever gave in to fear in any situation. His need to masquerade his own insecurities was simply far greater than his fear of any individual, be that individual a Prime or a notorious psychopath like Motormaster. Between the two of them Headstrong actually saw no reason why he and Rampage couldn't overcome the massive Stunticon. Oh, there would be pain involved and they might not even walk away from the fight but that was hardly a reason to let Motormaster abuse them in any manner - they were the Predacons after all. No, the reason was simple enough - Razorclaw had named the Stunticons their allies against Shockwave. If any infighting was going to be involved, it would have to be saved for later.

"And you two! Where's my fraggin' drink?! This is a lab, not an energon bar!"

Luckily enough two of Motormaster's loonies showed up to divert the Stunticon leader's attention. Or unluckily enough. There was a good chance this could turn into a three against two scenario which would greatly favor Motormaster. Slag, Razorclaw had better to show up quick before Rampage or Motormaster screwed everything up.

From her place standing in the center of the remaining mechs, Nightraven slowly and silently eased her way away from them and took up a position as close to the door as she dared. She couldn’t leave…there was nowhere for her to go…remaining just beyond the laboratory’s interior was her only option. “Primus, please hurry out of there Skywarp.”

She was wary enough keeping her optics glued to Divebomb, Headstrong and Rampage, but when Motormaster arrived, along with his two minions, things seemed to spiral downward…not that things were so peachy before. With a light hiss and a deep shiver, Nightraven pressed as close to the nearest wall as possible. Thanks be to Primus she had been blessed with the capability to remain absolutely silent and blend flawlessly into the background completely. It’d not doubt be her saving grace should anything go awry.
____

The deep bellow that came from the hallows of Motormaster’s vocalizer caused Breakdown to flinch and back away slightly. It seemed that nothing could satiate their Commander’s need for verbal and or physical torture, not even the promise of an impending battle.

Of course Dead End’s lip flapping, at least to Breakdown, would not bode well for him or his morose teammate. “Did you have to…you know…bring anything up? The…the least you could have done is waited for me to hide in case he decides to pummel you.” Breakdown kept his vocals low so that Dead End was the one privy to his concerns. Maybe we should have dosed his energon with something very, very caustic.

Inside the Science Labs

“Of course. I’ll leave everything up to you, sir. No questions asked.” After administering the ultra energon the unsure Razorclaw queried about whether the mechanic was performing the procedure coreectly. The audacity! “I am! I’m certainly not a complete aft!” Knockout quickly took several steps away from the now powered up Predacon Commander when he noticed the mech’s claws dig dangerously deep into the slab he was seated on. The last thing he wanted was for the decided killer to mistake him for some sort of target to test his new found strength on…coming out of that little situation in one piece would not be in his favor.

Pressed up against one of the surgical slabs, Knockout raised his arm in a desperate attempt to ward off anything that might be headed in his general direction. When Razorclaw declared the infusion was, in his words, exhilarating Knockout slowly lowered his defenses…a broad smile then worked onto the delicate dermal plating of his face.

“Power up Tantrum, but of course.” The red and gold mech took a quick glance in the fueler’s direction and offered a quick nod in understanding. “As you wish.” While he moved over to the reserves his audials were tuned intently to the conversation taking place with Skywarp. It seemed that the Seeker wished to be included in whatever little scheme Razorclaw and his cohorts were involved in. Upon hearing his designation, however, Knockout perked up and took a quick glance over his shoulder at the powered up Pred. Getting Thunderwing’s femme back in perfect shape and bringing her out of her medically induced slumber was probably the best idea that could have oozed from Razorclaw’s slimy vocalizer. He offered a simple nod and very quickly hooked Tantrum up to the reservoir before heading back to Blackwind’s side. Piecing the carapace encased Aerial Coordinator back together would be simple enough, it was bringing her out of her stasis that would be difficult. Who knew what would happen once that occurred. Had he the ability and the need Knockout would have swallowed…hard. “You will mention just how cooperative I’ve been to our resident Warlord, yes? I mean, I can be very, very useful to both you and Thunderwing in the coming future.”

Razorclaw kept a carefully trained optic on every movement that Knockout made, removing his clawed hands from the red and gold mechanic’s shoulders in order to allow him to work freely. At this point, the Predacon Commander didn’t fully trust anyone that was not a part of his unit, especially a mech who had been serving for countless cycles aboard a vessel commandeered by Shockwave. It might seem on the surface like Knockout was willing to go along with anything the lion-former said, but that didn’t mean the crimson ‘Con could be left unsupervised.

Tantrum had obediently moved in to receive the new energon in both his own fuel cells and the additional four reserve tanks that would power up the rest of Razorclaw’s supporters, even the two seekers. Whether Starscream would eventually get some of this new, potent energon was yet to be seen. The Predacon lord would rather the Air Commander not have a taste of the powerful new juice. Unfortunately, in order to pull off this little coupe, it would be necessary. Perhaps Screamer could be left with only a little bit after everyone else had their fill.

Once Knockout had hooked up Tantrum to the ultra energon reservoir, Razorclaw looked down and regarded the Predacon fueler with an emotionless stare. “Tantrum, once your tanks, both internal and external, have been filled to maximum capacity I want you to power up the rest of the team in the outside corridor while I oversee Blackwind’s revival. Be sure to leave some energon for those of our supporters not present. Understood?”

Without waiting for a response from his subordinate, the lion-former quickly turned his attention to Skywarp, who remained cowering in a far off corner of the lab. “Skywarp! Get your aft over here, NOW!!”

As if shook out of a deep stasis nap, the teleporter almost jumped out of his framework at the sudden sound of Razorclaw calling his name. With a nasty look plastered across his faceplate, Skywarp uncrossed his arms and reluctantly walked over to where the two Predacons stood, one of which was now hooked up to the ultra energon repository. “You bellowed?” The prankster stated plainly as he stood at least an arm’s reach away from the Predacon lord.

“Listen to me, Skywarp,” Razorclaw responded as he moved in to invade the teleporter’s personal space, leaving only a few inches between their respective faceplates. “Once Tantrum is done filling his tanks, you are to teleport him out into the corridor where he will power up the others, including Nightraven and even yourself. Once that is completed, you will teleport back in here and retrieve myself and Blackwind. Is that understood?”

“Clearly....sir,” Skywarp replied as a bad taste crept into his mouth. Having to call Razorclaw ‘sir’ was enough to leave an unsavory flavor in any mech’s mouth except for a Predacon, of course. This situation was no different. In fact, it was made all the worse considering the lion-former had beaten Starscream in battle, albeit an unfair one.

“Good.” Razorclaw's final word was left hanging between them as he moved away from the resident prankster and over to where Knockout was already hard at work on reviving Blackwind. The mechanic’s statement regarding his usefulness came as no surprise to the Predacon lord. Of course, the red and gold mech would make that argument in order to solidify his own position in the coming regime change. It was to be expected and, as luck would have, it was also a very true statement just as long as the outcome of Knockout's current endeavor was a favorable one.

“If you can bring Blackwind out of stasis and return her to full operating status, then your talents and usefulness will speak for themselves,” Razorclaw responded to the mechanic’s concern as he took up a position at the foot of the medical slab where the carapace-laced Air Coordinator was lying motionless. “As for putting in a good word with Thunderwing, again your success here will greatly determine how much help I will be.” The Predacon lord smiled underneath his faceshield as he continued to keep a close optic on the proceedings. “Now, I hope this won’t take too long, Knockout. I do still have a hearing to attend, and I'm already late as it is.”

((OCC: Sorry for the poor quality. After spending a few hours at the gym, coming home and watching the football games with my friends and, in between, working on my network problem...let's just say my brain not be workin' right.))

Inside the Science Labs

Knockout stopped beside the slab containing the unconscious form of Blackwind and gave its occupant the once over. Thankfully he was not able to carve out too much of the carapace’s surface. The outer layer was extraordinarily durable. The mechanic placed one hand on his hip while he gently rubbed his chin with the other. Finally, after several contemplative moments he shrugged and decided to simply slap the femme together as quickly as he could. The final results wouldn’t be very neat, but at least the Seeker would be fully functional and awake.

As swiftly as he dared, Knockout scooped up several tools and instruments and set to work. He set to work and when Razorclaw addressed again Knockout kept his complete focus on the work in front of him. That didn’t mean he had to remain quite. “Honestly. If need be I could restore our dear Seeker here with my optics offline. But since she’ll be presented to Thunderwing and since you’re in such a hurry I’ll need to be quick and very precise.”

Several welds later and a few tweaks and adjustments and Blackwind’s carapace was nearly as good as new. Of course if she wanted it back in perfect condition she’d have to talk the Warlord into more in-depth repairs…which Knockout was convinced she could do without batting an optic. That thought brought a broad, wicked smile to his face.

After completing his repair work Knockout stepped back slightly, let out a sigh and wiped his hands with one of the nearby rags. The red and gold ‘Con regarded Razorclaw who remained close by in order to oversee the whole process with a slight nod signaling that he was ready to wake the femme.

Knockout tossed the soiled rag onto his work tray and then retrieved a portable scanner before turning to the monitor that had been recording Blackwind’s status. One by one he shut down the protocols and initiated the revival process. He had come to the final one when the portable scanner in his hand began beeping. He cast a worried glance at its readouts and then turned his gaze on the Seeker. His optics widened in shock when Blackwind’s arm shot up and she wrapped her clawed hand around his neck.

Knockout released the scanner from his hands letting the device crash to the floor in order to try and pry the femme’s hands free. Blackwind’s optics flashed online as she sat up…her hand still wrapped around his skinny little neck. “You.” The enraged femme growled out while she stood up from the slab lifting Knockout up far enough so she could stare into his optics. “You attacked me from behind…under Shockwave’s orders!” Knockout tried to explain; even looking to Razorclaw for backup, but she didn’t him an opportunity to get a word in. Instead Blackwind threw the mechanic across the lab where his body collided with a shelf before slamming into the far wall. “Worthless piece of slag! Next time I won’t be so gentle!”

The Seeker kept her optics locked on the crumpled heap across the room while she addressed Razorclaw. With the sensors laced throughout her carapace she was able to detect the Predacon quite easily. Too bad she wasn’t fast enough to utilize the ability during her standoff with Shockwave and before Knockout snuck up on her. “And just what is it you want, Razorclaw? And what’s with Starscream’s little crony? I thought those idiots came in threes.”

Hanger

It was strange. Remarkably strange that the accused had been so quiet. Starscream had been waiting in his cell in silence for his escorts to arrive. The Vehicons had stopped just outside taking in the proud Seeker Commander as he stood with his back to the door. The drones looked at one another before returning their focus back on the prisoner.

He left the cell willingly when prompted never uttering a word, nor did he look at his guards. Instead Starscream pressed forward offering no resistance. Head held high and expression neutral he would be sure to put on a good show. Although there was still the possibility that he would be abandoned by his partner…which meant that he would need to rely on himself and Skywarp to make an escape.

This had better work. If not, then my dear, Razorclaw, it will be you who will pay. The Seeker let out a very low growl at the thought of being betrayed.

A few turns and several corridors later and the small group stepped through the doors and into the hanger. Starscream paused just inside and as the doors closed he raised his optics to take in Shockwave. His expression remained neutral as he turned his optics to the others scattered throughout the room. He took note that not only wasn’t Razorclaw present but his entire team was absent as well. Not to mention Skywarp and his little femme were missing as well. I knew it! Those slaggers left me here to fend for myself! Wait until I get my hands on them. Each one of them will die very slow, very painful deaths.

Razorclaw watched as Knockout made the Aerial Coordinator’s carapace whole again, or at least as whole as he could without the assistance of Thunderwing, the master of said technology. The mechanic worked as quickly as he could, knowing that the Predacon Commander was in a bit of a rush with the impending hearing about the begin if it hadn’t already. Still, the red and gold mech did his job adequately before moving on to the revival process, which proved to be a bit more interesting than the rebuilding phase had been.

The lion-former chuckled under his breath as Blackwind finally awoke and immediately took hold of Knockout around his scrawny little neck plates before flinging his pristine form all the way across the room where he ended up in a crumpled jumble of metal on the floor. Apparently, the seeker blamed the mechanic for her previous state of unconsciousness, regardless of who’s orders he had been following at the time. While her attention remained focused on Knockout, Blackwind addressed the Predacon lord, demanding to know what just he wanted before inquiring about the presence of Skywarp.

“My dear, Blackwind, what I want is to eliminate Shockwave from our lives by any means necessary,” Razorclaw replied, getting right to the point. There was no time for side stepping the issue. The lion-former had to bring the carapace-laced femme up to speed quickly. “To make a long story short, I defeated Starscream in battle while on the Ultrax and thus assumed control of the Earth-bound Decepticon forces. Under my leadership, our goal is to ultimately remove the cycloptic mech from the throne of power he has created for himself. I have the backing of the Constructicons, Combaticons, Stunticons and even Thunderwing, himself. Starscream and the seekers, however, are another story. We have formed an uneasy alliance against a common, one-eyed enemy, but it is a precarious one at best.”

Razorclaw paused for a moment to let everything he had just said settle in to Blackwind’s processor, taking a step towards her in the process. “A group of my supporters have returned to the Thanatos with my Predacons and I under the guise that Starscream is our hostage. Shockwave and his men know nothing of our true motives, at least not yet. However, the Military Operations Commander has seen fit to set up a hearing facilitated by the DJD via a comm link in order to determine Starscream’s ultimate fate. It will be during this hearing that my forces will strike, likely towards the end.

“Unfortunately, before we could make a move against Shockwave, we needed to power up on ultra energon since I learned that the walking calculator and his troops had already tasted the enhanced fuel for themselves. Hence, the reason why I’m currently here in the science labs. Skywarp teleported me inside after which Knockout, whom you have apparently knocked out, heh, was kind enough to not only provide me with the ultra energon I needed but also to revive you at my request.” Razorclaw glanced over to the crimson and gold mechanic before returning his optics on Blackwind’s powerful form. “You have been sorely mistreated, my dear, a crime that will not go unpunished I can assure you. As for Thunderwing, I’m afraid that he is not present here in the labs as he was with Shockwave last I heard. The Warlord is likely down in the hangar as we speak where the hearing is scheduled to begin very soon.”

Razorclaw then extended a clawed hand out to the Aerial Coordinator in order to help her off of the slab she had been lying on for so long. “Can I count on your support in defeating Shockwave and his forces, Blackwind?” The Predacon lord asked as his optics glowed brightly with ultra energon. “Together we can bring the cycloptic mech to his knees and give the Empire the true leadership that it deserves.”
_________

Skywarp waited patiently for Tantrum’s fuel cells and extra tanks to fill up with ultra energon. The teleporter spared only a brief glance over at Razorclaw as he made his case to the newly awakened Blackwind who had just thrown Knockout across the room. Letting out a slight smile before it quickly faded from sight, 'Warp returned his attention to the Predacon fueler. The black and purple seeker wondered what the increased power would feel like once it was coursing through his circuits. Would he respond in a similar manner the way that Razorclaw had done or would the prankster's reaction be more subdued and controlled? It didn’t really matter just as long as he and Nightraven were not left vulnerable against Shockwave’s super powered forces. The same also went for Starscream who would likely be the last one to fill up on the new energon, if there was any left over by that time.

“How much longer until your tanks are filled?” Skywarp finally asked Tantrum, trying not to sound overly impatient in his tone. “I’m sure your commander wants everyone powered up sooner rather than later.”

Afterburner nodded at his commander's response. It was more than easy to see why Starscream of all people would be tried for treason. The Seeker hated Megatron.

As the reached the main corridor entering the hangar, he watched as Shockwave stepped onto a service elevator. Analyzing the blueprints of the ship, he deduced that the cyclops was trying to see all of the trial. "Farewell, sir," the Skyscorcher nodded as Shockwave disappeared. Normally, he wouldn't have been so courteous, but this was a trial, and he figured if he didn't show respect for his commanding officer, he would be put on trial with Starscream.

Sidling in, he didn't see Chief Scientist Thunderwing, whom he normally grouped with. Glancing up at Shockwave's viewpoint, he noticed the scientist standing off to the side. Looking around the room, he noticed Clutch, who at least worked with the medics. Walking over, he asked, "So, how goes it in the medical-bay?" He didn't really care, he just wanted a conversation to distract him while he waited.

Inside the Science Labs

A smile crept onto Blackwind’s face when the self-proclaimed Predacon leader spoke of how he bested the great and mighty Starscream in battle while on board the Ultrax. It was perfect…although Blackwind would have much preferred Starscream’s defeat had been dealt out by her, but she would take what she could get. Still she had to admit the Predacon taking down the Air Commander was difficult to believe.

“Poor Starscream. Such a shame that he was placed in such a precarious position.” Blackwind shook her head in mock sadness as she finally turned around to face Razorclaw. As the lion-former continued his recount the Aerial Coordinator had to admit that Razorclaw had done quite well; what with recruiting, not only the Contructicons but the Combaticons and the Stunticons as well. It seemed he had the backing of all the special teams. It was the mention of Thunderwing, however, that caught her attention. It seemed that even the Warlord was behind the Predacon Commander. Of course Blackwind knew that it would be a temporary arrangement as both she and Thunderwing had their own plans for the coming future of the Decepticon Empire.

“Not all of the Seekers are loyal to our dear Air Commander. I’m quite sure you, or someone else, will be able to draw them out…” the femme cast a hard gaze in Skywarp’s direction before turning her attention back to Razorclaw. “Do not worry about the Seekers. They’ll fall in line…I will see to that.” Blackwind flashed the orange and black mech a knowing smile. With Starscream out of the picture she’d have no trouble taking over his position.

Blackwind crossed her arms over her chest as the briefing continued. This time the elaboration on just what was happening in the hanger, and what was planned to happen once things got underway, was offered. The thought of simply leaving Starscream to his fate with the DJD was so tempting, but without the devious little snake the plan to take down Shockwave and his minions would not come to pass. As much as she hated to admit it…they needed the pompous Seeker. “Too bad we can’t just let Tarn and his men eliminate the slagger.” She let out a low sigh.

The briefing ended sooner than expected with Razorclaw offering her a place in his plans. In all honestly she saw no definite reason not to go along. After all, if Thunderwing had agreed to the joint endeavor of overthrowing Shockwave than she too would agree to it.

Blackwind took in everything that had been offered and contemplated for a moment. The carapace clad Seeker rubbed her chin lightly as she looked from Tantrum, who seemed to be fueling up on Shockwave’s stash of ultra energon, to Skywarp, and finally to Razorclaw. She caught the Predacon’s optics with her own and held his gaze for a breem. “All right. You have my support. Just be sure you do not renig on this agreement.” Blackwind watched the lion-former for a moment before casting her optics back on Skywarp. “And I will be assuming command of the Seeker Corps. Don’t worry. I’m sure you’ll get used to it.”

From the back wall Knockout began to stir. The mechanic let out a low moan as his systems finally rebooted fully rousing him from unconsciousness. Once his optics on-lined Knockout took a quick glance around searching the area for the crazed and angry femme that he had recently put back together.

Knockout shakily got back up on his feet and took a woozy look down at this dented and scuffed frame. The normally pristine and flawless mech was now a wreck. He let out a low growl as he looked up at both Razorclaw and Blackwind who seemed to be involved in a heavy discussion. “You glitch! Do you know how long it took me to get that sheen?” The crimson and gold mech balled both hands tightly as he stood shaking with anger waiting for a response from the femme. It never came.

Blackwind ignored Knockout’s outburst completely, instead she gestured over her shoulder with a slight tilt of her head toward the fuming mechanic. “Will that be of any use to us during this venture or can I execute him now?”

Razorclaw was very pleased with Blackwind’s overall response to his briefing and subsequent proposal to join forces against the common enemy that was Shockwave. She pledged her support to him, at least for the time being as the lion-former knew all too well that her real loyalties lay with Thunderwing. If the Warlord chose to pursue the throne once the walking calculator had been taken care of then the Predacon Commander would lose any and all support from the carapace-ladened femme. Her assertion that she could control the seekers was a welcome one in the short term, but that could be a potential problem, as well, in the coming cycles. If Thunderwing sought control of the Empire, he would have not only Blackwind’s backing but also a good portion of the seeker ranks, many of which would likely follow the duo over the one who bested Starscream in battle.

These were all concerns to make note of now but ultimately worry about at another time. Razorclaw needed to remain focused on the present if this little coup was going to work the way he hoped. For now, the lion-former had everything he needed to take down Shockwave and assimilate his followers into the Predacon regime. However, time was of the essence and the absence of certain mechs from the hearing had likely been noticed by now. “I will not renege on our arrangement, Blackwind. I can assure you of that. We want the same thing here and I will not jeopardize the desired end result by even considering an act of betrayal against either you or Thunderwing.”

Across the room, Skywarp regarded the Aerial Coordinator’s declaration of control over the Seeker Corps with a relieved nod of approval. “Fine my me. I never did get used to being Seeker Commander to begin with. So, have at it! The position’s all yours, my dear!”

Razorclaw rolled his optics at the teleporter’s response before his attention was then drawn over to Knockout’s angry display of emotion regarding his damaged finish. Of all the things to be concerned about right now, outward appearances was not one of them. Blackwind’s question about whether or not the mechanic would be of any use to them brought a chuckle from the otherwise serious nature of the Predacon Commander. “I’m afraid Knockout is the closet thing we have as a medic,” Razorclaw replied, looking back at Blackwind. “Once this coup is over and done with, there will be mechs on both sides who will require repairs that a CR chamber would be unable to make alone.”

The lion-former’s gaze returned to Knockout before he continued. “Not to mention the fact that our well polished mechanic here is close friends with the one called Clutch, a powerful mech that would serve us well if pretty boy is able to convince his large comrade to join us. Do you think you could do that for us, Knockout?”

The Predacon lord smiled underneath his faceshield before his optics were fully trained on the Aerial Coordinator once more. “Now, I’m afraid you won’t be able to join us at the hearing, Blackwind, for obvious reasons. However, once the battle starts, I will signal you. In the meantime, I suggest you remain here and get powered up on ultra energon. I’m sure Knockout will be happy to assist you if you require it. Heh. As for myself and the others, we must bid you farewell for now as we are already late for the hearing and do not want to draw any further suspicions to ourselves. I'm sure you understand.”

Razorclaw gave Blackwind a nod of appreciation before turning on his heal and heading back over to where Skywarp remained standing next to Tantrum. The lion-former wasted no time in checking the gauges on the ultra energon reservoir which indicated that no more of the experimental fluid could be pumped into the Predacon fueler’s own power cells or extra tanks. “You appear to be full, Tantrum,” Razorclaw commented as he bent down and disconnected the transfusion cable from his subordinate’s outer port. The Predacon lord then cast a stern gaze over at the prankster. “Skywarp, teleport us back into the corridor immediately. It’s time we got things underway.”

Skywarp scoffed at Razorclaw’s orders but did as he was told, anyway. Taking hold of both Tantrum and Razorclaw, the seeker initiated teleportation and the trio disappeared in a bright flash of purple light.

Outside the Science Labs

Razorclaw, Skywarp and Tantrum reappeared in the corridor where the rest of the Predacons and Nightraven were still waiting patiently. Motormaster, along with both Breakdown and Dead End, were now there, as well, likely wondering what everyone was doing mulling about outside of the science labs. Wasting no further time, the lion-former looked around at his disciples and gave a nod to each of them. “It appears that most of our troupe is present. Good. I have procured the ultra energon which we will need in order to take down Shockwave and his followers at the hearing. They already have this new fuel in their systems, so I want everyone here to hook into Tantrum’s extra tanks now and power up. Be warned, however, this energon has a potent kick at first consumption. Once that is done, we will head straight down to the hangar and attend the hearing. Once the moment is right, I will give the signal and we will engage Shockwave’s forces in a battle for the future of the Empire! Is that understood?”
_________

As soon as they had appeared in the hallway, Skywarp made his way over to Nightraven’s side while the Predacon Commander bellowed out his orders and plan of attack to the other mechs. The teleporter cast a relieved look at the seeker femme before leaning in and whispering into her audio receptor. “Well, Nighty, is appears that I’m not acting Seeker Commander anymore. While I was in there, Razorclaw had Knockout awaken Blackwind, who then pledged her support to him and assumed control of the Seeker Corps all in one breath. Of course, Shockwave doesn’t know that so I’ll have to keep pretending, I guess.”

Skywarp’s attention was then drawn back to Razorclaw when the lion-former ordered everyone to power up on the ultra energon. Finally, the teleporter would get a taste of this new powerful brew and perhaps become more than just a simple grunt within the Seeker ranks. As he took a step forward to claim his fill, ‘Warp was cut off by the other Predacons as they made their way to Tantrum’s fuel tanks. An annoyed prankster immediately backed away and remained standing next to Nightraven. “We should probably just wait until the rest of the beasts have their fill. Don’t want getting mangled or anything,” Skywarp suggested in a hushed tone so that no one else but Nighty would hear his disparaging remarks.

The rush that Tantrum was experiencing was unlike anything he had ever tasted in his functioning life. And knowing that this stuff was not only coursing through his systems, but that there was even more of it in his storage tanks, it gave him a feeling he couldn't put into words.

He didn't want to put it in to words anyway. He just wanted to put his fist in someone's face.

The first temptation came when Razorclaw gave the go ahead for others to start patching in to his extra reserves. He didn't like that. He knew he was the Predacon fueler, but when it came to this stuff, he wanted it all.

"Only take what you need, runts. Don't overload," Tantrum rumbled.
___

Motormaster's latest, bellowing demands were not anything that Dead End was unprepared to hear. Navigating this particular area of the ship without giving away what they were really up to was more problematic than he had thought. If they were all going to go down in a blaze of glory, Dead End at least did not want to be the one who lit the match.

The arrival of more Seekers and Predacons seemed to answer his prayers.

Thank you Primus. Or Unicron. Whoever answered, Dead End thought as he looked over at Breakdown.

"I know, I know. Sorry. I'll make sure you've got a cubby next time," Dead End whispered before giving his full attention to Motormaster.

"It's, uh....I'm sorry...I mean, I wasn't sure if I, you know, could.....it's right here," Dead End stuttered before approaching the Predacon fueler and cautiously reaching for Motormaster's energy access port so that he could patch it into one of Tantrum's fuel tanks and Motormaster could drink up.

Drink it all, for all he cared.
___

Rampage looked over at Headstrong. Underneath his faceplate, a playful smirk etched his metallic face. In other circumstances, he might have been tempted to push the Stunticon brute a little further and have some fun. But he knew he was going to be having all the fun he could handle soon enough.

"Yeah, yeah," Rampage said, nodding. And before long, their party was greeted by the arrival of others, not the least of which being Razorclaw himself. At last. He was almost beginning to wonder just what the slag was going on in that lab and why he wasn't getting any of it.

It seemed Tantrum had all the good stuff they needed, and Rampage was itching to get some for himself.

"Yeah, runt. Don't overload," Rampage said, pushing Dead End aside so he could patch in to one of Tantrum's tanks himself. He then realized that he was about to get Motormaster his fill-up, not himself. Motormaster on regular juice was bad enough. He was actually looking forward to seeing what happened when he got tanked on this stuff. "On second thought, go right ahead, ace. Get your boss some."
___

Hangar

In short order, Starscream arrived at the hearing, the usual security measures in place and accompanied by his Vehicon escort.

High atop his platform, Shockwave took in the Seeker's arrival with the same casual acceptance with which he acknowledged the passing of time. It was another completed event, even if Shockwave would at least internally acknowledge the increased significance of this one. Since his return to the Sol System, it had been Starscream who had been the biggest obstacle standing in the way of the progress he had planned for the Decepticon Empire and the restructuring that had to take place in Megatron's absence. It was an obstacle that was about to be permanently removed.

As one of several internal chronometers within Shockwave's optical readout finally reached 0.00, a chime sounded on the Thanatos' communications system. Shockwave spared a brief glance in Soundwave's direction before patching the signal through the bridge to the hangar itself. As expected, it was Kaon. And through him, the presence of the full Decepticon Justice Division would be facilitated in order to conduct the hearing. The imperator entered a subroutine command that would freeze several Vehicons in place to serve as visual conduits for the Division, wherever they were currently transmitting from so that they could take in the hearing from multiple vantage points.

As Shockwave entered the necessary acceptance commands, towering, live, holographic representations of each of the five members of Division materialized within the hangar. Unsurprisingly, it was Tarn who spoke first.

"Ah. I see the accuser. The accused. The witnesses. Excellent. Excellent indeed. Proceed......accuser."

Shockwave's optic flashed as he stared down at Starscream.

"Declarative: it is my contention that during operations by the primary expansion fleet currently conducting operations on the Sol System, Decepticon--designation: Starscream, did commit acts willingly and under no external duress that consistently undermined Megatron's objectives. These acts include destruction of Decepticon resources aboard the vessel Ultrax, willful concealment of procured Ore-13 resources, unnecessary jeopardization of established infiltration protocols and active resistance to Megatron's stated desires of preparing planet designate Sol-3 to undergo necessary mechaforming."

Shockwave had carefully manipulated the charges in such a way as to avoid any direct discussion of Megatron's current status, omitting additional information where necessary. Regardless, given Starscream's history, Shockwave had calculated a significant probability that he could have simply marched Starscream out here and asked for permission to execute him on the spot and the Justice Division would likely grant his request; however, formality dictated otherwise.

"This Decepticon is accused of high treason. The requested sentence: execution," Shockwave stated, pointing his arm cannon down at Starscream, even as calculations ran in his mind as to whether or not he should open fire right now.

Query: illogical. Response: negative. Continue hearing....

The Division said nothing at first, before the massive form of Tesarus raised a hand in Starscream's direction.

"The accused will speak."

Prior the beginning of Starscream's trial...

"It certainly took you your sweet time Razorclaw! Did you stop to re-synch every slaggin' quark clock of the ship with your internal chronometer?!" Motormaster boomed as he swept others out of his way to grab the hose Dead End was offering to him and thus challenging the Predacons' right to fuel first. As if the beasties would stop him. Not now. And as if he was going to let any of his own men to actually touch his energy access port. The four runts were smart enough to know that it was the one way they could hurt their abusive leader. Not that they had ever succeeded. Motormaster's fuel filtering system was far sturdier than most mechs were aware of. It really came with his line of work. Pre-war stuff. He had learned that what few weaknesses you had, they needed to be eliminated long before joining the Decepticons. Thus, it took a moment before the ultra energon delivered its kick for the Stunticon thug. For the substance had to pass the sampler in his external fuel tanks before being fed to his main fuel lines.

And was this juice ever so sweet.

"More! I want more!"

A deafening roar echoed across the corridors of the Thanatos as the ultra energon took effect despite Motormaster's best efforts to keep his self control. Much like with Razorclaw earlier, the Stunticon's whole body practically glowed due to overflowing power delivered by the ultra energon. But if Razorclaw had glowed like a christmas tree, Motormaster's was glowing like dozens of high powered searchlights. His whole exterior lighting system had been forced momentarily online just to cope with tremendous energy burst he hadn't felt in hundreds if not thousands of vorns - if ever. His powerful personal integrity field system was practically turning into a deflector field, pushing all those close to him away from him. If there ever had been time for him to defeat Optimus Prime to solidify his claim over the title of the King of Roads, it would have been now.

Finally, he just couldn't take up more of this nectar of gods, lest he wanted to burn his circuits. Reluctantly, Motormaster shoved the hose to the closest Predacon who hadn't yet drank up before spreading his arms wide and turning his gaze towards the ceiling.

"This is it! Drink up boys! Whoever decided to keep this juice from us deserves the DJD and worse!"

Inside the Science Labs

Assure me all you want, Predacon, it will make no difference in the end. Blackwind’s thoughts ran through her processor as she glared deeply into the lion-former’s optics. She knew better than to believe in anything he had to say, but she was not going to let him know that. “Good.”

Blackwind’s attention was brought back to Skywarp who seemed more than willing to let her take command of the Seekers in the absence of Starscream. So he was the one who the torch was passed to. “I knew Starscream was an idiot, but making you acting Seeker Commander…now I know for sure that he’s got a few screws loose.”

The femme let out a low growl when Knockout finally awoke and began complaining about just how badly his poor, pristine finish was now ruined. The mechanic was proving to be more trouble than he might even be worth. How she wished he could simply be eliminated, but Razorclaw was right…in a sense…there were very few medics therefore they needed every able one available, and that meant Knockout would be allowed to survive…for now.

The irritated glare Knockout was sending both ‘Cons quickly vanished and was replaced by a much more calm and aloof expression. Of course they would need him. The mechanic caught Razorclaw’s optics with his own and took on a much more relaxed stance…his weight resting on his right hip, along with his right hand, while he fiddled with the sharp taloned digits on his left servo. With a quirky smirk plastered on his face the crimson and gold mech tilted his head slightly to the right.

Blackwind nodded in response to Razorclaw’s proclamation that she and Knockout would be staying behind until they were called. That suited her fine.

Knockout watched while the two Predacons and Skywarp vanished from sight before he looked to the only other remaining Decepticon in the room. “You know, I might be able to convince Clutch to swing back in our direction, but I’m not going to make any promises. I mean he is his own mech, you know? Now, perhaps if there was some kind of permanent incentive… maybe…”

Blackwind shot the mechanic a warning glare from over her shoulder but it only seemed to egg the mech on further. “What?” Knockout shifted his weight from his right hip to his left as he sent a broad smile in the femme’s direction. “It’s not like I have some kind of intimate control over him.”

To Knockout’s surprise instead of the Seeker taking what he admitted in stride Blackwind began to stalk toward him. His smile quickly vanished and was replaced by a frightened expression. “Now hold on…” He had to come up with something that would take Blackwind’s mind off deactivating him and he had just the thing… “There’s something you should know! Clutch was the one who knocked you out! So…heh…there’s no need to dismantle me! Hold on to that ire and tear him apart!”

The carapace laden femme stopped directly in front of the shaking mech her optics blazing blood red. “You’ll convince your little friend that his best chance of survival will be to take down Shockwave and his followers. If he makes the right choice then I might let you live, and Thunderwing might let Clutch continue to function.” Knockout’s only response was a very small, very short nod.

Outside the Science Labs

To Nightraven’s relief the two Predacons and Skywarp finally reappeared outside of the labs’ doors. After they left she had taken refuge as far from the gathered mechs as possible and waited silently, and out of sight, for the other Seeker to return. “Oh thank Primus.” She whispered to herself.

As Skywarp was making his way to her, Nightraven moved out from her hiding place and met the mech halfway. She offered him a halfhearted smile before turning her attention to the gathering Predacons and Stunticons.

The slim black and purple femme looked back to the teleporter as he explained that he was no longer acting Seeker Commander and that Blackwind had now assumed command. Without saying a word Nightraven nodded in acceptance and returned her gaze to the others. They were all ordered to fuel up on this ultra energon which would increase their strength to who knew what levels.

She watched as Skywarp took a step forward but was quickly cut off by one of the other Predacons. “I’m not so sure about this, Skywarp. I mean, I’m no warrior to begin with. There’s no way that stuff is going to give me any advantage over those other mechs supporting Shockwave.” Nightraven confessed to the other Seeker in just as low a tone as he had done before.

----

Breakdown had taken a step back and as far from the worked up Motormaster as he possibly could get. As long as he was further than his Commander’s arm length he’d have a head start to get away should he be reached for.

The paranoid mech shot Dead End a heated glare before looking toward Tantrum and the other Predacons. As much as he wanted to have a taste of the ultra-fuel, he was not going to chance stepping between those beasts and that energon. He’d rather head into the hanger in one piece.

In response to Motormaster, Dead End could only offer a shaky stutter; while Breakdown could do nothing more than bob his head up and down in a stupid looking nod. He had no intention of touching anything on Motormaster, especially if he wanted to live to see the following day.

After the Stunticon Commander patched into one of Tantrum’s tanks, Breakdown watched as Motormaster seemed to actually glow...no, glow wasn't the word to describe it...he actually shown like a beacon! The scout quickly brought his forearm up to block out the illumination before his optics shorted out.

Once the light had died down Breakdown brought his arm down and nudged Dead End lightly to get his attention. “Do you think there'll be any left for us?” He asked in a low tone.

Dead End watched quietly as Decepticons practically started to fall all over themselves to get the next taste of this vaunted "super-fuel". For his part, the Stunticon had watched as Motormaster ingested the stuff and the effect that it had on him. After seeing what happened, he wasn't entirely sure he wanted that stuff in his systems. If that was what it did to Motormaster, it would probably dissolve a mech like him from the inside out.

But...

But. But. But. He'd be kidding himself if he said he didn't want to try it. The brutish Stunticon Commander looked like he could take on a cadre of Primes. And maybe win. Dead End had never tasted power like that. Motormaster would never let them. But now he was giving them the green light.

He didn't need to be told twice.

"If I have anything to say about it there will be," Dead End said as he began to maneuver his way up to one of Tantrum's fuel tanks. Pessimism be damned. He wanted some of that stuff. Breakdown could do with some too. They'd both be better off for it. "Excuse me. Excuse me...."

Razorclaw watched with a stoic look on his faceplate as the rest of his supporters swarmed over Tantrum’s extra fuel tanks in order to gorge themselves on the ultra energon. It was almost like looking at an Insecticon swarm overcoming and devouring their prey. Animals, the lion-former thought, ironically only referring to those who were not his own Predacons. Even Motormaster was no different except for the fact that he was more belligerent in his consumption and seemed to glow much more brightly than everyone else.

Their behavior didn’t matter, though, just as long as the new energon put them all on an even playing field with Shockwave and his men. Of course, the one-eyed mech had more supporters, along with countless vehicons, than Razorclaw currently had on board the Thanatos. It was unfortunate that the Predacon lord could not bring more of his own backers with him without raising unwanted suspicion. Even with the ultra energon flowing through his team’s circuits, they were still at somewhat of a disadvantage. If only Onslaught and his Combaticons could be signaled somehow and brought into the fray. Their addition would certainly make victory for the lion-former an almost guarantee.

But how? Razorclaw contemplated the idea for a moment as the others continued to fill their fuel cells. Any transmission, even an encrypted one, would be detected by Soundwave. That monotone mech had been a thorn in the Predacon Commander’s side ever since returning to the Thanatos. Having to tip toe around his own ship and plot in secret left a bad taste in the lion-former’s mouth. It was one he looked forward to washing away very soon.

Still, the problem remained, how to get word out to the Combaticons without inadvertently alerting Soundwave in the process. Perhaps there is a way, Razorclaw realized, rubbing his chin guard with one clawed hand. It’s an old school method, but it just might work.

Turning his attention back to the gathered mechs in the corridor, Razorclaw lowered his hand to his side. “Okay, let’s finish up. Anyone who hasn’t powered up yet, do so now. Then head down to the hangar immediately. The hearing is likely already under way, and I don’t want to delay things any longer. I will meet you all there in short order. There is one last thing I must do to help ensure our victory. It won’t take long.”

Without further explanation, Razorclaw moved past his supporters and headed down the corridor until he had disappeared from sight.
_________

Skywarp watched as the others all climbed over each other for a taste of the ultra energon. The Predacons were just as animalistic as he had always taken them for, but the rest turned out to be no better. Were these the mechs who would overthrow Shockwave and eventually lead the Empire into the future? The teleporter shuddered to think of the ramifications if that actually came to pass. The seekers’ only hope was for Starscream to finally overcome his current predicament and eventually take his rightful place as the one true leader of the Decepticons. Otherwise, dark times were almost certainly ahead for them all.

Nightraven’s apprehension regarding the new fuel was not lost on Skywarp’s audio receptors, even as Razorclaw spoke up again to give further orders. Once the Predacon Commander was done spouting off at the mouthpiece, he disappeared down the corridor on some last minute task that he needed to do in order to win the forthcoming battle. Whatever, you disgusting animal, the prankster thought as he turned to regard Nightraven with weak smile. “I know, Nighty, but the ultra energon should at the very least make you stronger and maybe faster. That has to better than nothing at all,” the teleporter said in a whisper. “Besides, we have our orders, and I’m sure Razorbutt’s remark was in reference to us since we’re the only ones who haven’t powered up yet.”

Skywarp then turned his attention to where Tantrum was still situated. Stepping forward cautiously, the teleporter moved across the corridor until he was standing right next to the Predacon fueler. ‘Warp then opened his access port and connected himself to one of Tantrum’s extra fuel tanks. The ultra energon easily flowed into the prankster’s systems almost immediately. At first his circuits felt as though they were on fire but that feeling was quickly replaced with one of euphoria. It was a sensation unlike anything he had ever experienced before. The seeker’s optics glowed a brilliant purple hue as every inch of his frame felt the raw power consume it from within.

“And to think I hesitated,” Skywarp muttered as he cast his gaze back over at a still reluctant Nightraven. “It’s okay! There’s nothing to fear. Heh. This stuff is great! Come over and try some! You’ll love it!”

Starboard Observation Chamber

Razorclaw had a plan to bring the Combaticons into the battle against Shockwave. Whether it would work or not was another matter. It all depended greatly on who had been left behind to man the Obliteration while Onslaught and his team were busy down on the surface. If it was just a simple vehicon then the plan might not work. However, if ‘Claw knew his fellow commander as well as he thought, it would be Blast-Off at the controls instead of some mindless drone. The space warrior was always left alone in the dark void, whether he was raining terror down on unsuspecting Autobots from a low orbit or just keeping watch over an empty frigate. This was where Blast-Off excelled and he seemed more than content with his isolated role.

Of course, the Combaticon in question would also have to be paying attention and not taking a stasis nap. There was a way around this possibility, but it would take absolute precision on Razorclaw’s part as well as some luck. Regardless, it was the only option the lion-former had if he wanted to ensure a victory here not to mention a future for the fledgling Predacon regime. It was small now, but Razorclaw’s authority would grow and eventually spread across the Empire. Primus willing, it would spread far and wide with little resistance. Sure there would be some challengers at first, but they would soon come to realize that the Predacon way was the best way to further advance Megatron’s legacy he had left behind.

Having made a quick stop in one of the warship’s storage facilities in order to get the device that he needed, Razorclaw quickly made his way into the starboard observation chamber, where the far wall was adorned with large windows that stretched from the floor to the ceiling. The vastness of space was exposed for anyone present to see as was the familiar sight of the Obliteration, still hovering a short distance from the Thanatos.

The lion-former crossed the vast, empty room until he was standing only a few feet away from the center window. The device he carried was box-shaped, about the size of an energon cube. It had handles on either side, allowing Razorclaw to firmly grasp it in both clawed hands. It was a laser beacon, capable of sending a harmless beam of concentrated light across a considerable distance in order to communicate with comrades on the other side of a battlefield utilizing a series of long and short flashes. It was old school and very low tech compared to some of the communication methods of the current vorn. However, when standard channels were jammed by the enemy or radio silence had been ordered, a laser beacon was sometimes the only way to coordinate with other 'Cons.

With the touch of a button on the back, the device hummed to life as a tripod extended down from the bottom until it touched the floor. Now securely standing on its own, Razorclaw was able to let go of the beacon and began the process of programming it to suit his needs. The message he needed to send had to be short and simple but still informative. Once that was accomplished, the Predacon lord peered through the device’s top mounted scope and aimed it directly at the Obliteration’s primary sensor array. Surely, the frigate’s computer would detect the light beam and alert whomever had been left behind, even if they weren’t paying close attention.

I hope, Razorclaw thought as he then activated the beacon. Within astroseconds, a harmless beam of concentrated light emanated from the front of the device and reached out into the blackness of space. It didn’t take long before the beam hit the Combaticon vessel’s sensor array dead center and began a series of long and short flashes that would convey the message the lion-former wanted to send. He let the beacon recycle the message for at least a breem before shutting the device down and stowing it away in a storage compartment. As much as he would like to let the signal play endlessly to safeguard that someone on the Obliteration saw it, Razorclaw could not leave the beacon unattended just in case a member of Shockwave’s crew found it. Then the jig would be up for sure.

A breem will have to be enough, Razorclaw thought as he headed out of the observation chamber. Blast-Off or whomever better have seen it. I can’t delay any longer. With the prospect of reinforcements arriving in the near cycles, the Predacon lord finally headed down to the hangar where Starscream’s hearing was already underway.

Thanatos Corridors

He had been told to remain behind, but he just couldn't do it. The Ultrax was as secure as it was ever going to be. And Onslaught had the Korean peninsula locked down. The Thanatos was where he was needed. Like anyone else, an orbital jump wasn't Thundercracker's preferred method of travelling, but at least it was over now, after he had got the necessary clearance to reboard. He had to take a few moments to get his bearings before his thoughts returned to him and he remembered where he was and what he was doing. He had jumped from his last station on Earth to the Decepticon battlecruiser, the Thanatos. Things within the Decepticons seemed to be unravelling faster than a old, weathered rope and Thundercracker didn't intend to be left behind. Upon hearing that Starscream was on trial and that Skywarp had taken Starscream's place, Thundercracker thought it best to converse with his best friend in person to get a different perspective on everything.

Currently, the blue Decepticon walked along the corridors of the Thanatos, looking for Skywarp- or at least, any Decepticon who might be of help in finding him. As his large feet walked over the metal tiles of the Thanatos, Thundercracker was grateful to at least be somewhere that wasn't Earth. The Thanatos wasn't Cybertron, but at least it felt more like home than anywhere on Earth would have. Plus, getting away from some of the other Decepticons still on Earth, like the Constructicons was a bonus!

Still, despite getting away from Earth, he hadn't escaped everything. As he walked about the corridors, his mind went back to the haunting mention of The Fallen...

Rampage had wasted no time after Motormaster had got his fill in doing the same. Seeing the effect the stuff had on the Stunticon thug quickly erased any doubts he had about putting the juice in his own circuits. From the looks of it, he would've killed to have had some of this stuff back during the gladiator pit days. He could've been a regional champion for a lot longer than he had been.

But if this stuff had been around back then, Megatron would've had access to it, too, and regional champ is definitely as far as Rampage's hopes would've went.

Rampage offered up a quiet thought of respect to the gladiator of gladiators before taking off in the same direction Razorclaw had gone. He remembered hearing the orders earlier to head to the hangar for the cyclops' little dog-and-pony show. Now--now--he would oblige them.

Primus he felt great.

Thunderwing stood silently as the proceedings began. He said nothing and did nothing to draw any attention. There was always the possibility he was on the DJD’s fabled ‘list’ for some silly charge due to his absence. He didn’t fear the group, but he had no desire to make this trial become any bigger then it already was. Having been absent for the timer period of Starscream’s charges meant he wouldn’t be called as a witness, he was merely here as a spectator.

What was conspicuous was the absence of the Predacons and Stunticons. While Motormaster’s group could probably be excused due to the rambunctious nature of the team the Predacons were renowned for their discipline under Razorclaw’s command. If they were absent much longer it would arouse suspicion. Unfortunately with Soundwave nearby there was no way to send or receive a signal from them without being intercepted. He would simply have to trust Razorclaw and stay patient.

*

Soundwave stood silently, observing and recording the trial, along with Laserbeak who was perched up above him. An averaged Decepticon might assume he was doing nothing but watching but he was doing a multitude of things. Along with observing and recording the event he was carefully monitoring all communication traffic in the Thanatos and all that might be leaving or entering the vessel. He was prepared at a second’s notice to jam the signal from the DJD should Starscream or someone else mention Megatron’s demise. He was also sifting through his own copious databanks for information on Starscream’s past transgressions. His rank and presence on Earth for so long would undoubtedly lead to him being called as a prime witness and he wanted to be prepared to share in detail all he knew. Starscream’s fall had been a long time coming and he would do whatever he could to usher it forward.

Thanatos Corridors

Thundercracker continued to walk the corridors of the Thanatos, still searching for Skywarp. He had tried some of the doors that lined the corridors, hoping to find Skywarp behind one of them, but all he had found were empty rooms, or rooms occupied by Decepticons that no interest in talking to Thundercracker, outside of telling him to get out.

So, Thundercracker carried on. However, the more he walked, the more his mind began to drift, as he found it did when he was either alone, or without a mindful task to complete. This time, he wasn't dwelling on his usual doubts, but this time his mind was focused on something else- worry. Worry over what the actions on Earth he had recently seen may have in store for the future...

Suddenly, the steady beat of his echoing footsteps was invaded by a new sound- somebody else's footsteps, only these ones at a different rhythm. The sound caused Thundercracker to perk up. He actually focused on what was ahead of him now, seeing that Rampage was walking at an intercrossing section of the corridor before him. While he never usually associated with Predacons, any Decepticon would do. Immediately, Thundercracker began to run after Rampage, his footsteps now becoming louder as he ran.

"Hey, Rampage!" Thundercracker called out, with his trademark low, growly voice actually louder than usual. "Hold on a nanoclick!"

"Ohhhh....my Primus.....," Dead End gushed as he just initialized the process of intaking this beautiful new energy source. He didn't know what Motormaster had felt, but if it was anything like what he was feeling right now....my god, how could he not claim the throne of the Decepticons?

Dead End was feeling like he could claim it for himself.

As his internal energy levels practically rocketed to 100% and every weapon and system he currently possessed displayed fully ready and active readings, he actually found himself having to resist the temptation to make a go of it himself. What was in this stuff?

Whatever it was, it was good. But it had not removed the Stunticon so far out of his typical psyche that he was unable to ground himself in some degree of reality. Crossing Starscream, Shockwave, Soundwave or their ilk was not something he would be doing any time soon. And definitely not Motormaster. But, that didn't mean there wasn't someone who deserved a beating at Dead End's hands. And he would be only too happy to deliver. He was going to ride this wave until it crashed.

As it inevitably would.

"This is great stuff, Breaks."
___

Tantrum couldn't believe how low this alliance had sunk in order for him to allow Stunticon trash to fuel up at his expense. Razorclaw better slaggin' well know what he was doing by teaming up with these psychos. Seekers? Eh, whatever gets the job done. But Stunticons? They should be so lucky as to be within five meters of him and still be alive.

"Hurry it the hell up," Tantrum rumbled.

Stupid Stunticon. Maybe he'd just bash its head in right now.

Corridors

As Rampage stalked his way through the corridors, his destination firmly in mind, he didn't even break a step as Thundercracker called over to him. Where did he come from? Did he want to fight?

Razorclaw--working with Starscream, Rampage reminded himself, which meant his Seekers would get a pass from being the target of Rampage's aggressions. For now. Rampage knew these guys had no loyalty to Razorclaw though. They would go down in a blaze with Starscream if that's what it came to. And that's what it would come to, if either Shockwave or Razorclaw himself didn't take out the Seeker during this trial. The Seeker Leader wasn't one to share power from what he had seen. That suited Rampage just fine.

He wasn't in a sharing mood, either.

"What do you want, Seeker?" Rampage growled, keeping his pace. If Thundercracker had something he wanted to get off his mind, he could do it on the way.
