i feel bad that japan got left out on this one.

General rule of thumb: Japan eventually gets almost everything the US does, usually as good as or better. Pretty sure Takara will release this later on with better paint apps or stickers if they stick with the Arms Micron gimmick.

The only thing that is lacking to me is the missing/wrong colors on Smokescreen. He looks great otherwise and as Doubledealer93 said, I'm sure Reprolabels will come to the rescue! I really can't understand why Hasbro did that? You'd think someone there would check and re-check to make sure the colors were the same as the show...oh well.

I am actually impressed with the engineering of this figure. They managed to make him have door wings without looking anything like Bumblebee! That is quite a feat. Although the fake chest is a little disappointing, I think Smokey will have a unique transformation that we haven't seen before...which deserves praise whether you want this guy or not. I also like how thin he is with a lack of back kibble. It looks like his arm kibble can be manipulated to each person's taste for optimum poseability. Needless to say...buy on sight! :D

Exactly, there's no reason to bitch and moan about a little forearm kibble, especially when there's room and hinges to move it about of the way. As for the bits on the feet...who cares? Nobody with a lick of sense, that's who! His transformation scheme looks brilliant!

Sold! This guy and Hot Shot are the Autobots I want from this series. Too bad retailers don't like me and won't get any Hot Shots.

But, That's how I felt about the Vehicons. Saw one fig, bought him, and the next week - they're everywhere! So maybe I'll find Hot Shot somewhere.

I can't believe it. They actually made a figure in this line that I'm seriously considering getting. That armor and fugly weapon will never see the light of day but the figure itself is actually something worthwhile. We'll see what happens when I actually have it under my nose at the store though since it has been insanely easy to talk myself out of purchasing nearly every other figure from the Prime line. The fact that they jacked the prices by $5 USD on them while giving us smaller figures had a lot to do with that but the aesthetic of the figures has been mostly to blame.

So we have ourselves a lot of happy fans now it seems.
This fig is a picker-upper no doubt but that fly swatter weapon is total garbage. It will please me to arm him with a much needed weapon indeed...'nuff said! :VEHI:

You can fire the missile and get rid of the net.

Well we now know for sure that the armor is removable and the robot chest is fake. I do like how it swings though. I was correct in my assumption that some people would be put off by the kibble on his arms but it looks to me like daggers or something. Can't wait to see Bulkhead now.

I'm not sure about the new deluxe Bulkhead. It's a good looking figure and significantly enough of a remold that I wouldn't mind getting it and calling it someone else. However I do agree the new head mold is lacking in personality. Will probably just skip it.

As for Smokescreen: fake chest be damned! ALL HAIL HASBRO!!!

Now where's my Takara version? ;)

The car mode looks great, but his robot mode is a little too bulky for me to think of him as Smokescreen. It's better than the AM Knockout repaint, but it still feels off.

Still gonna get him, but I hope we get that Prowl retool eventually.

Because you're just that kind of person. Image

Bulkhead look more and more appealing, after that image.
Thanks Samsonator!

It's not a remold, it's a new mold. Prime Bulkhead has never been a deluxe before.

It's too bad we can get just a good NORMAL representation of him in deluxe size. I wonder if that tan paint is removable. ???

Been like that for a while what with Takara ditching paint apps for stickers.

I like applying stickers. And to be quite frank, Hasbro's paint apps have been lacking lately as well (not as much as Takara though. Smokie had no paint other than grey and black).

Yeah, and we've been missing the hubcaps and rear windows/taillights... well, just about any paint app from halfway back on any given car or plane. Sigh.

I have had mixed feelings about the stickers. Used to be figures came with the major paint apps... and stickers just put a little detail that was too precise to be painted — mechanical panels, etc. These are putting ALL the missing paint apps. Quite a different story.

I have enjoyed those microns, though. Putting them together is way fun.

BH Smokescreen is awesome, so much better than his Arms Micron counterpart. Well done Hasbro :APPLAUSE:
