If that were really the case, then Hasbro would simply round off the tips of the horns. This figure simply doesn't fit into Hasbro's toy aesthetics and is too costly to properly adjust to match it (so they say).

Simply put, the same reason why we won't get AM Breakdown here.

And a similar case to why we will never have a Fortress Maximus reissue here.

Actually, FM is a victim of updated Toy Safety Laws; he now fails the so-called Drop Test.

Breakdown, Unicron and Jet Vehicon have such an amount of plastic that they would be right in between two of Hasbro's standard price points for regular retail. They'd have to be exclusives for them to be released in the US, where price points don't apply as much. But considering that releasing unique molds as exclusives is rarely done (once per line at the most), I'd estimate the chances of that rather slim.

I know. And I call bull on their behalf as they could also have considered putting out the Transformers Jr. version. :P

But with this figure, it is another safety hazard. Appearance-wise, they would have to severely shave down the portions that could injure reckless kids and stupid adults.

Seriously, though... I would not be surprised it Hasbro and Takara Tomy had discussed in advance who will do what molds, how they will handle their lines, and more when it comes to stuff like this. So when it came to Breakdown and Unicron, Takara Tomy is allowed to set their price to reflect what they want it to sell, as well as less restrictive toy laws... So they have the right to do it right away. And with Hasbro, they do not benefit from that and will probably consider making either character for their other line. :-?

Then again... I am a Takara Tomy guy. To the point I want to invest in them when I can. :P

or they could stick a cyberverse toy or even a deluxe bumblebee in there and charge weaponizer price for it

^This.

My money is on a Cyberverse Breakdown here. :CON:
