I got a PCC stocking stuffer for Christmas, it was Icepick, pretty cool little dude for $4.00.

What made them so bad was they had so much potential. The minicons acting as weapons and chest pieces made me think of Breastforce a bit.

The downside is the drones. The drones were horrible. I mean in the concept of imagination, someone's imagination was truly warped.

Did you not learn form the E-Combiners? Make a hand, fist and feet because that's how a robot should have to fight with.

Also I have lost my zing for Grimstone, Steamhammer is the winner with Heavy Tread right up there with him.

I really agree with Couterpunch, especially with the minions and similarities to Energon prime. They disappointed me when they first came out since I wanted combiners that didn't have just drones, but 5 combining Transformers, although I do appreciate some such as steamhamer and Grimstone. Also, Sledge with the constructions, plus 5 minions looks awesome. 8)

the lack of proper hands and feet was particularly disappointing as there was no messing about with robot modes, and they didn't try to make the drones interchangeable. an arm is and arm, and a leg is a leg. So why do they fail to convince me?

the 2 packs are great though, I have the 2 pack Decepticons facing off against my Human Alliance basics in a Saturday morning cartoon that never was.

I absolutely love the PCC line, and have done (from afar, as I have no money) since they first came out. The only one I own is Icepick with Chainclaw, and apart from the fact that I already own G1 Chainclaw and duplicate names annoy me, I am extremely happy with him. Hopefully I'll still get a chance to take advantage of sale prices and snap up a few more; although I've recently discovered a hitherto uknown liking of the movie figures, so I might be concentrating my resources on them.

I just got around to opening my Grimstone and Icepick, and I actually like them. I also have huffer. He's kool, but I only got him to have a Huffer in my collection. Skyhammer is kool in bot mode, but I don't like the alt mode....

You know, they came back with a vengeance.

After stating that I only had and wanted the Destron and Combaticon sets, I bought Grimstone and Steamhammer, sold both again. Bought Undertow and Skyhammer, then sold both.

Just acquired Overrun, Smolder (these two are keepers) and contemplating Icepick and the Destructicons (don't really care for Mudslinger, just for the drones).

Also, TFC's Iron Army is designed for the PCC sets, so they definitely surprised someone!

I got Heavytread and Groundspike cheap in a toystore last week. It surprised me that later waves even showed up here, since we've only seen a restock of wave 1 2-packs around here.

Heavytread is awesome. A great figure, even without the gimmick. I recommend him if you can find him.

Both Skyhammer and Heavytread, who have never seen release in the Netherlands, have shown up here as cheap overstock. Caught me by surprise, literally. Of course I snapped up both, and hoping for Undertow and Salvage. Maybe later we can expect new 5-packs overstock? I need Double Clutch (even with his problems), Mudslinger, Grimstone (especially him) and Over-Run

Speaking of "problems", Wave 2 seems to have a suspicious amount. Double Clutch himself, Mudslinger's thighs, and now Leadfoot's shoulders. I broke off the shoulder joints clear of their hinges. Is that a common problem with him?

Can't say about Leadfoot, but I can check with Overrun as soon as he arrives.

The only way to give Heavytread a great all Autobot drone layout for his combiner form is to grab a Stakeout and Protectobots 5-pack, 2 if you don't already own one. It gives him a symmetrical look made up completely of war machines. I grabbed an extra Stakeout when they were clearancing them off and haven't regretted it one bit. The combined form is awesome!

Personally, I just scraped the :BOT: off of Heavytread and put him with some Decepticons:

Was playin' around with the Combaticons a little yesterday and today and saw this thread pop up.
He's got some great poseability beside the limbs popping off until you get him set up.
That's the main disappointment with them, they're not all bad. I actually like most of them, I can live with the flaws for the most part.

Iron Man is surprised by the sheer might of this robot.
Could he be feeding off these smaller robots for more power?

mini-con crowns\headgear?

He pairs up so nicely with mini-cons too

I love what you did with Throttler!

The posability of most PCC in combined mode can be enhanced by cheating, I agree. :P

I was really surprised when Leadfoot's arm snapped off.

Well, the minicons make for good classics targetmasters.

Well, in United EX Heavytread as Tank Master will be a :CON: and Skyhammer as Air Master a :BOT:. That makes them perfect for the Combaticons and Aerialbots respectively.

His repaint stakeout is just as cool(ok, maybe not alone), but Smolder does come with a great mini-con and I think has the better colors..

As stated above the Protectobots are a good combiner.
I also found that Thunderwing and Prowl mini-cons are a great addition to the team.

quite a size difference

I think I'm gonna work on getting each drone a mini-con to control it
and have my commanders control\partner with the mini-cons. :michaelbay:

I was kinda surprised by the two I got, but stopped since I couldn't get over the Mini-Cons being clear and I was starting to concentrate on Classics at the time.

Did it snap at the bicep rotation? I had the same issue with mine, it's like the black part is too big. :\ (Thankfully, there's no issues superglue can't fix) But, he's got balljointed shoulders with a wide range of movement, so it's not so bad.

Every Leadfoot I encountered had that flaw so far. Never buy Leadfoot.

I did, and I want a new one, dammit! :-x

Mine snapped off at the swiveling panel connecting the robot mode shoulders to the hips. The problem is the ball joint channeling forces in directions the swivels aren't designed for, especially since the ball joint is so stiff at first.

Yep, snapped off at the bicep rotation. But for that price Leadfoot's still worth it, just for his lil Targetmaster. And the thing can be glued back while maintaining transformability, though you loose some articulation and I don't think it can turn into chest mode anymore.

If that's the case, I should update TFWiki on that, shouldn't I?
