Well, the minicons make for good classics targetmasters.

Did it snap at the bicep rotation? I had the same issue with mine, it's like the black part is too big. :\ (Thankfully, there's no issues superglue can't fix) But, he's got balljointed shoulders with a wide range of movement, so it's not so bad.

Every Leadfoot I encountered had that flaw so far. Never buy Leadfoot.

I did, and I want a new one, dammit! :-x

Mine snapped off at the swiveling panel connecting the robot mode shoulders to the hips. The problem is the ball joint channeling forces in directions the swivels aren't designed for, especially since the ball joint is so stiff at first.

Yep, snapped off at the bicep rotation. But for that price Leadfoot's still worth it, just for his lil Targetmaster. And the thing can be glued back while maintaining transformability, though you loose some articulation and I don't think it can turn into chest mode anymore.

If that's the case, I should update TFWiki on that, shouldn't I?

Overrun seems fine so far.

Doubleclutch, on the other hand, went straight to the spares box.
I might use him for the comic strip. As Duhbleclutz.

As for Mudslinger, seriously not impressed by the combined mode, Smolder can keep the drones.
He makes for an excellent Minitaur, though, especially with Chopster in axe mode!
(I'll get some photos up eventually..)

They're honestly a mixed bag. The COnstructicons and Dinobots are nice, but then they mess things up like the Protectobots when they go into recolour territory.

They really do seem to be a line where you really have to be picky.

Nifty, and it's a good implementation of his super mode head. :)

Soooo, we're here again.

I need a recommendation, people.

How worthy are Skyburst/Darkstream and Windburn?
I'm talking as robot mode and torso mode, less worried about the vehicle modes!
(Damn you PCCs. Damn you.)

An another note.
These guys really seem to have impressed a lot of people, thinking about it.

Iron Army sets, Mobine sets, United EX repaints.

I wonder what it is about them.

I have Skyburst and Darkstream, as well as Searchlight and Windburn, and they all have their strenghts and weaknesses.

Skyburst/Darkstream have nice robot modes, but their torso mode can be hard to pull off, plus they have shallow fists so they can't hold all weapons. Darkstream especially suffers since he can't hold his pack-in Razorbeam
Searchlight and Windburn are decent, but sometimes the rotors get in the way (which one goes where?!). The torso mode is nothing to really write home about, but easier to do. By the by, Windburn is a homage to DC Comics' Orion of the New Gods.

Does the torso mode sit and lock in place, or are they wobbly?

O, Skyburst's does lock in place, it's getting there that's the problem. Getting the arms in place and locked down can be tricky. Searchlight's has no locking mechanisms at all aside from friction in the joints.

Hm. That sells me on Darkstream, I think. Unless you'd recommend Skyburst over the Con repaint.

The Searchlight mold is my favorite PCC I own, though I suspect there's some bias there.

In any case, it's quite a good mold. The rotors are just on 5mm pegs and come out fairly easily. My Searchlight's are tight but will slide out easily enough, while my Windburn's are REALLY tight, but they do come out, just takes getting your nail under the lip of the black part with the peg, so mileage may vary, but they do come out easily enough. The mold's fists are rather deep, so I display Windburn with both of the rotors in one hand as a big rotary blade weapon. :CON:

And yes, there's no locking mechanism for the side sections that the arms and Power Core pegs are on, but both of mine are tight and it's designed well; you won't have any issues with the parts rotating freely away from where they're supposed to sit.

I'm really fond of his jointings, his legs are great, and he can pull off a "powered armor" sort of look quite well since his arms are completely free in torso mod.
