Okay, so I followed all the necessary steps to get DOTM on my iTunes, but now when I try to copy it to my iPod, it says "DOTM was not copied to the iPod because you are not authorized for it on this computer". Anyone know what the deal is?

I'm assuming it's copyright protection. Which puts this thread to a sudden stop.

Unless he got it when he purchased DOTM. Most movies these days are coming with digital copies for such purpose.

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1539 <--- This might be able to help you.

This is why I use my iPhone for music only. I've not tried transferring a movie or video to it, because music and ringtones are a hassle, as is. Good luck, I hope it works out for you.

When I did the digital download for G.I. Joe, it allowed me to download both the WMV and iOS format videos. See if you can do the same with DOTM. If you can, try and put the WMV file on your phone. If I remember correctly, it's formatted as a MP4 video, which the iPod is capable of playing.

The combo pack comes with a legal digital download in standard definition with a 2.0 Dolby Stereo soundtrack. Nothing illegal about it. This thread shall live on.

usually this happens because the movie has been put on too many computers that use the same itunes account. because it was made to be put on ipods ipad etc.

In all fairness though, he might've put it on just iTunes and his iPod. If that's true, then he's well within his rights to use it. As long as 5 or less are authorized, it should work just fine. If he deauthorizes some of the other devices, it should work.

This is one of the reasons why I hate DRM. If it's bought and paid for, it should be free and clear.

Forgive me for being stupid, but what's the point of watching the biggest-budgeted, most action-packed blockbuster of the year on a one-inch screen?

And he did it, even after the OP asked for the thread to be closed. I'm seriously sick and tired of his antics. I'm seriously considering reporting him, because at this point, he's doing it ONLY for the troublemaking.
