I've come close to buying it just because it's so cheap, but I'm trying to get away from that habit. I think these kind of alt modes are pretty lame (the Dinobots are about the only exception I have to the rule) and I think I had already outgrown TFs as a kid by the time the Seacons came around so I don't really have any attachment to them. I kinda have a similar feeling toward Predaking so I somewhat dread the day a 3rd Party makes one, having to decide whether to drop stupid amounts of money on something I have very limited desire for, but admit would probably look pretty sweet.

I've been on the fence for a while but might finally take the plunge. My wife likes small, easy to transform bots, is looking for more Decepticons and loves bright colors.
So, anything to make HER happy...

It's not that they can't sell them, it's just that there were so many. This was originally going to be a brick and mortar store exclusive, so the total number of units was probably upwards of 10K.

Is it terrible that at this price I'm tempted to get another just for weapons for my God Neptune?

If you're good at repainting, why not? Give Nautilator some love too while you're at it
Top 5 Priorities: 1) BW Neo X-7 Elphaorpha 2) Universe 2003 Night Slash Cheetor 3) RiD Landfill (regular, not the yellow) 4) BW Neo D-35 Magmatron 5) BW Convobat (red) & Megalligator (purple)
Also in the market for an Arms Micron Firebolt and Pinpointer.

I only ever owned Nautilator as a kid, in fact its one of the few figures I still have from when I was a kid. When I first got Nautilatgor I didn't know what the blue square peg was for. Never realized he was part of Pirannacon until years later.
So I picked the BBTS set up when they first showed up just because I wanted to get the full set and finally be able to combine my old Nautilator. I think I payed like 59.99 for the set.
Although I am annoyed at the color changes particularly for Overbite I think its a great set. I've been lucky enough to not have any issues with it and I do love them.
35 bucks is a steal just like last time it was brought down to that.

The QC on mine was DEPLORABLE!! I suggest that anybody buy this release with that in mind. That is only coming from my personal experience with this release. I've stated on other threads about the quality of mine and won't repeat them again. I paid 90 bucks after all was said and done for mine when it first came out.
Honestly......it's worth about 20 bucks. I was so bummed with mine that i immediately started to get the G1's off Ebay to replace the figures that came with the set. The only benefit of buying this set is to have all the bits and bobs that Piranacon comes with i.e guns and stands.
But as for not liking Piracacon? I love the entire concept and colours!! I'm a fan of garish colours and monstrous transformers. Can't get enough of em.
I have my bbts purchase in combined mode with all my G1's in front of him on the posts and stands displayed in team mode and all in their alt modes.
MAN......i would love nothing more than these guys to be released in the classics line in a full G1 colour scheme. And super gnarly looking. The Infestation comic from IDW has me a bit pumped about the seacons coming back into the mainstream. At least i hope anyways.
Buy it just for the display factor but get the G1's and do what i did. The G1's have better plastic and better colours.

I had him as a kid, so when I saw him on sale for 30 bucks a few months ago I jumped on it! (Didn't want to pay the $60 or whatever the original price was) I'm so happy I did because I love it! It's now my only G1 Transformer, the holy grail of my rather small collection. Y'all should've seen my reaction when he arrived in the mail!!

I never liked the Seacons. I had Tentakill as a kid and didn't want the other ones.
