You know a lot of what you mentioned has been address already. maybe not in the depth you would have liked to see, but it has been addressed..
LordScourge wrote: I have seen all of them and they all seem to focus on Sam but rarely do we here about the Transformers sure we know about the war and stuff but that's it we know nothing about what caused it. We also know nothing about the Transformers personally like why have they chosen the side they are on? What are the ideals, goals, and principles for each side?
The War was caused by the fight for the energon cube. This was made very clear in the first movie. IN fact, the fight for power has contributed to all 3 movies.
LordScourge wrote:I mean why does every Decepticon in the movie have to be bad and why does every Autobot have to be good? Why can't we get a a Decepticon that's honorable like Dread Wing from the Prime series?
This has nothing to do with more focus being on the Transformers, but more about a character you want to see.
LordScourge wrote: Also why can't we get a Autobot that has no respect or value for human life? I especially would like to see descention in the Autobot ranks with Autobots leaving to join Megatron, over throw Optimus or both with the reason being that since they had started following him they had gone from one bad situation to a worse one.
This is exactly what happened in DOTM with Sentinel Prime.
LordScourge wrote:Also why can't there be Transformers who don't choose a side because they don't want to kill their fellow transformers or Decepticons and Autobots secretly working together and plotting to kill and usurp both Megatron and Optimus? The reason I say this is because I feel many forget that Autobots and Decepticons are like Republicans and Democrats both are made up of INDIVIDUALS with their own GOALS and MOTIVES.
Also why does Optimus have to be completely blameless? Why can't he be responsible for the whole war and divide between his people as well as Megatron being the kind of person that he is?
Everything you have described would take far longer than a 2.5 hour movie could deliver. You'd need an entire series for this.
While i think many of us would love to see more time and depth in all of the TF characters. That's a given. But one thing that people fail to realise is considering that all the bots are CGI animated in a live action environment, that cost money. Serious money. People complain that the humans get more screen time. Well it doesn't cost anything in relation to the special effects to film the humans like it does the bots and animated ships and what not. This being said, whatever screen time is used with the bots needs to be spent wisely. Like it or not, more people would rather see the bots and cons duking it out rather that being sat down with Dr. Phil talking about their "feelings"
Ok, in all seriousness, i know people want more time for characters development, but that is screen time that could be spent fighting. That's what people would rather see more of.
Now thing that i wish they did different in DOTM was cut down on all the decepticon ships attacking Chicago and give that screen time/money to more time with the bots. But you know what? I get it. The Decepticon war ships weren't meant for the fan, but rather the general audience to get the "ooh" and "Aah" "That's impressive looking!" reaction. Each movie has to find some way to out due the other.

Very true. At least there learning with every film.
