Seriously. I started playing it again and at most, I find about 300 people playing Team Deathmatch. Trying to level the Scientist in that game mode is like trying to get TF: Animated not to suck; very difficult if not impossible. I loved the mode where you placed the bomb (the title of that game mode escapes me) but no one is ever playing it. I used to rake in great EXP in that.
Are there any tricks to farming EXP at all in this game? I need three more achievements to have them all in this game and they're all MP achievements.

In conquest, just go back & forth between two nodes. Orbital is best for this because A & C are right across from eachother. Just get a bunch of other people who want to "boost" as wee call it, and go for it.

i farmed them by just doing the challenges in the teletran 1 menu

You don't really need to farm when they throw the 10x EXP weekends now and then..

The word you're looking for is "
Grinding." Performing something that gains experience (Typically killing opponents, though there's obviously more than one way to skin a kobold) repeatedly until you achieve the desired level.

Boosting is when you and your friends take up the entire game and go AFK. You can't exactly do that in WFC though since you'll get booted.
