Nicely done! If Hasbro went with colors like that then perhaps all of the normal Sideswipes wouldn't be shelf warming in my area. Keep up the good work.

After seeing the pics again (which I saved in my Transformer images folder) I just have to know what type/brand paints you used. Honestly this is an amazing repaint.

I use a few different types of acrylics. Tamiya and floquil mostly. testors enamels for small details at times. The red I used floquil caboose red and testers high gloss acrylic coat over it. >:oP

I second that. Your repaint really breathed life into the fig.

BTW, what did you use to clear coat the fig? Surely you must have sealed it with something, what with acrylics being as fragile as they are.

Either way, awesome job.

As I hardly use enamels anymore, I used model master gloss clear acryl on car parts. On robot parts it depends I usually use model master semi-gloss clear or flat clear. krylon matte finish for arts and crafts works well also. My friend paints TF's also and said the fusion paint for plastic works awesome, but they have limited colors atm. :CON:

Nice! I heard Krylon is great for customizing and model building in general.

Pylox gloss clear coat also works, but I'm not sure how well it goes with acrylics. It works fine on lacquer sprays, though.
