him scaling with one (out of scale) figure... doesnt mean he's C/G scaled.Tsutsukakushi wrote:Rated X wrote:Shrink it to voyager/ultra scale and ill buy it. Dont miss out on a chance to double up your profit like Fans Toys did with Quakewave.
Why?
DX9 Chigurh is already in CHUG scale. As the new 2015 G1 Megatron Leader class toy scales well with Chigurh.
The CHUG toy line has more than one scale for the characters toys. As most of the core cast was made in almost every size class in the CHUG toy line.

While 2015 Megatron may be a CHUG figure, "Leader" class figures are meant to be stand alone figures. This extra large class is generally reserved for fan favorite characters and is not meant to scale with smaller CHUG figures by cartoon or comic standards. Other than Jetfire (robot mode only) I cant think of one leader class figure that scales with any deluxe or voyager CHUG figure. Almost all of them are always Prime, Megatron, Starscream, or Bumblebee.

Im only going by the G1 cartoon in general here. While many characters heights in the G1 cartoon are inconsistent, Megatrons height is. He is not the same size as Jetfire. The "Leader class" scale is more of a fan favorites scale than a CHUG scale. It just happens to "work" for Jetfire in terms of cartoon scale with other CHUG figures. My guess is the whole reason leader scale was named "leader" in the first place was to reference Optimus, Megatron, and various high ranking faction commanders in different TF continuities. In other words, its a scale reserved for characters that are important enough to deserve a stand alone figure. The target audience for this scale is kids and hardcore fans of a particular character. Hasbro doesnt make leader scale figures for people who collect based on the cartoon scale.

Tsutsukakushi wrote:Scale and colors are not the main reasons, I buy newer TF toys.
The main reason i'm not buying this Chigurh toy. Is I feel it has a extreme ugly and weird looking robot mode. Think the toy's greatest suffer is the misproportion parts all over the robot mode. Huge ugly sculpted feet and ugly looking thin thighs. long torso, too narrow thin waist plate sculpt put on a bulky toy.
Tsutsukakushi wrote:Love the sculpts in all modes. Toy looks very sturdy and high quality. I love the big toys and this toy is huge.
