Oh dear!

Seems that same seller 'japanesefonz' has had more visits from that mysterious account 'S***U' shill bidder, this time for some Planet of the Apes figures!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PLANET-OF-THE-APES-Taylor-and-Cornelius-FIGURES-BY-MEDICOM-TOYS-NEW-rare-/221173020667?nma=true&si=35HJ8mnfBuKWRxHASOhquV3j8qs%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I was looking on eBay trying to find an explanation to what the Image next to S***U's name is, but got nowhere. Then looking at the image info the link had New Id in the line, so is that what the icon means?

Sorry for an off topic question, just curious.

I believe it the icon for new members

Yep, new member indeed! http://member.urbanup.com/96331

I will guess that if/when more feedback is left for other items sold recently that user ID 'S***U' will be in amongst them and if so yowill see an update here! :-?

Well spotted bud, that is also another give away!

With the Ebay sales I have highlighted from this one particlur seller, it was to make any fans of Transformers and such like aware of the dubious activity that appears to be happening.

I have raised my concerns about this seller with Ebay and hopefully something will be done about it, but if anyone else feels they should also report thisany seller for doing this dodgy business, feel free to follow my lead.

Lets make Ebay safer for everyone! :D

Oh dear, oh dear oh dear!

Guess whos been getting their Ebay Transformers sales inflated yet again?
You guess it, 'japanesefonz' with help from shill bidder 'S***U'! :-?

More feedback has been left from buyers/victims of various items, so peering into the bid history again shows shill bidding a plenty!

Ebay must be really busy as the seller still continues to list items and have them bid up.

Heres one to watch from the same seller, lets see if our shill bidding friends turns up in the bid history, should anyone fancy some old 'M.A.S.K.' adverts pasted onto bits of hardboard!

Feel free to check these ended items and see if you too can spot 'S***U' in amongst the bidders?

I really hope none of you guys n gals have won anything from 'japanesefonz' aka '2grandads' where this awful practice of shill bidding has happened?

I think he is on to us on to him  His proxy bidder does show up but not as active in the bidding unlike the previous ended bids. And he still has 1 won bid.......heck, even the bag he didn't win. First action figures and now bags?

Oh you naughty seller 'japanesefonz', you and your shill bidder 'S***U'!

I am not the Internet Police but this seller has really got me all riled up!
This sort of stuff happens all the time on Ebay but when a U.K. seller flogging some cool Transformers blatently rips off other fans of Transformers, I feel the fan community should be informed! ;)

We might as well call out his shillbidding account by name: handsshoulders

At least it's funny funny to see his shill account sometimes winning his own auctions: it means he has to pay eBay seller's fees, without making an actual buck.

Excellent work Alldarker! ;)

Add 'handsshoulders' to your beware list folks!

I would expect those same items won to reappear either in 'japanesefonz' or 'handsshoulders' listied items sometime soon?

:-?

Noticed too that he only sells to local British buyers.........so to all our fellow collectors in the UK, heads up(?)

Btw, are scammers really that.........desperate(?) for the lack of a better word, they buy from themselves? 8-}

This guy looks like he's just starting in the shill bidding game: his shill bidding account was only started on January 4th 2013. He was probably counting on his shill bids being overbid again. But he was out of luck when no-one upped his shill bids.

This is why I only buy on eBay using Buy It Now. Generally, it's more expensive than I'd like to pay, but at least I'm not dealing with shills, plus if I did, it could end up being more than the BIN, anyway.

And I'll only buy from respectable Asian sellers, such as EHobbyBaseShop. I bought from them on eBay, instead of their site, and the transaction was excellent.

If bidding is involved, you're rarely ever going to get what you want for the price you want. Bidding lures you in, you get caught up in the heat and then do something stupid. BIN is your friend.

Well is appears Ebay has listened!

The couple of items dodgy conman 'japanesefonz' had listed have been pulled and his shill bidder account looks odd, perhaps banned?

Thanks to Seibertronian Alldarker, we got the name of the shill account because items won where feedback was left, revealing the account name 'handsshoulders'.
That account has since had its feedback rating removed along with the item won, so feedback is back to zero! :KREMZEEK:

I shall keep both account names added to my (not) Favourite Sellers with email notifications set when anything is listed and let you good people know about any more dodgyness! ;)
