Double posting because this makes me tear my hair out in frustration every time it's mentioned. Lemme put it to you simply...

SAM DIDN'T KNOW THE ALLSPARK SHARD COULD DO THAT!!! ONLY THE HIGHER RANKING DECEPTICONS DID!!!

Pant...wheeze...

Nothing personal, bro. Just...ugh, why don't people remember Sam lacked that information. It's poking my OCD side.

And you could be right, but what struck me as off was the fact that after watching the shard turn his parents place to cook food into a tiny armada, he never even suggested to any other autobots the prospect of using it to revive prime. But he certainly seemed aware of its capabilities when bringing jetfire to life, right?

I have had to defend these movies to countless people online and in person, so I understand the "ocd" moment and feeling like your repeating yourself, LOL. But please dont feel like your "defending" them to me, bro, like I said, I loved the movies. I just hate my job and would rather banter with people of similar interest online:)

Nah not defending, more correcting. I have an extreme attention to detail and rarely miss things when I read a book or watch a film. Makes it frustrating when people talk about something and it's pretty clear they didn't pay attention.

As for knowing it's capabilities, I doubt it. He knew it could create Transformers since it was part of the Allspark, and he'd seen it do that before. However no one on the Autobot side mentioned it could revive dead Transformers. The closest thing he got to that knowledge was being told it could energize Jetfire enough to wake him up. And even this was through rather cryptic means:

"There, point the shard and watch the magic happen." - Wheelie

The above is all Sam is told about using the shard on a living Transformer. Three seconds later it's gone and Jetfire wakes up.

So no. Sam didn't know he could revive Optimus. I'm not even sure it would be possible with such a tiny fragment. Jetfire absorbed all it's remaining energy and was still rusting and falling apart at the seems, a symptom of energon starvation. The chunk used on Megatron was at least the size of a brick.

Your all forgetting the biggest plothole to all three movies. The plothole of why I actually spent money to watch these boring movies. :P
I couldn't be the only one who was actually stressed during the first movie due to the lack of Robot presence on-screen. Everytime they showed some of the bot action, I couldn't even enjoy it coz I knew in a few seconds, I'd have to endure long scenes of just human interaction. It's all been said before, but damn, I've never been so stressed while watching a movie. haha.

This is why I never watch that movie any more. It annoys me. That and the Autobots don't show up until the end of the movie and Megatron only has like 3 or 4 minutes of screen time.

But, d00d, he's like an unimportant character. I mean, whoever heard of Megatron? Like, seriously, man.

(Sarcasm, btw.)

We need a meme of this on the Advice Animals subreddit.

"See movie I end up hating. Watch both sequels and complain about how I hated them."

You people make me laugh. So pathetic.

Easy. Let's bring that down a notch, please. Your use of pathetic was absolutely unnecessary, here.

The point stands though. Let's imagine someone shot them self in the foot. What is the rational response?

a) "OUCH! JEEZE! I better go to a doctor!"

b) "OUCH! JEEZE! That really hurt! Better shoot my other foot and my unoccupied hand too."

If you chose b) then you've voided your right to complain.

You're such a smart guy. Maybe one day I'll be as smart as you, and be able to enjoy the movies.
