Yup, deleting my account it's useless to me.

And it's dead.

Yeah, it's a really crap situation to be in and it's one I share with you, but don't go quitting the game just because you died first. The membership doesn't cost you anything and they might get their act together in the future. Like the guy said, they're new to this and don't know what they're doing. (Maybe I'm paraphrasing.)

Yes they only have one product at the moment but I'm assuming many more will come. How about making a 'Pile of Loot' type system so people can make the most of the cost of shipping without paying for the same thing three times. Surely that's the logical thing to do.

On a related topic does anyone know what number of pre-orders they're on at the moment?

Too late I already quit it.
Once they get their act together I might open a new one, but at the moment I have no interest or use for this. I was exited back when this was started by FP, but now that it's basically the TFCC of 3rd Party stuff, I don't need it.

Arlekkin wrote:Well... I feel your pain DeadMetal...I'm from a European country which is barely seen on a map.... and I've tried to see if the online retailer I get most of FP's stuff will be carrying it... but all I got was a maybe :S

HE probably won't get it, since this one here is exclusive to FPCore.

I believe the standard not exclusive version will be in Optimus Colours, it kinda looks like a WW Powermaster Prime.

Sodan-1 wrote:The cost of shipping does kind of defecate all over the 'For fans' ethos of FansProject. It's for the fans so long as it's geographically convenient. No way it'd cost $50 to ship this to the UK, so that's either wasted money or they're pocketing the difference.

Didn't Venksta say that FansProject Core isn't run by FansProject themselves, like someone's offered to be their voice? There's a noticable improvement in grammar from FansProject.com to FansProjectCore.com.

20 quid says the guys from TFCC are running the show.

I never said FansProject Core is run by a separate group, anywhere online. FansProject is very hands on with what goes on with FansProject Core. However, to make things run smoothly, FansProject Core is considered a separate entity from FansProject. This is needed to get things rolling once future features on the website are revealed and become active. The people that run the website and service aren't the same designers and guys dealing with the production of the toys. But they are very involved with the way things go on the Core website.

As for shipping cost, remember its a flat rate. I'm not sure how much shipping from the US to international destinations would be for SteelCore, but some of you international fans could group up with US members and get them to group buy and then ship it to you from the US.

Only 600? Can you name 1 other independent toy company that could get that sort of commitment from their fans? Paid up front, original non-affiliated character, no early reviews... I can't think of one.

So yes props worthy indeed.

Definitely props worthy. Especially considering some 3rd party groups have a hard time having various retailers taking a combined stock of 500 units over the initial month when preorder goes up.

I believe the original context of the 600 orders comment was specifically regarding the fact that their website/servers didn't crash (like the official Transformers Collectors' Club's website did earlier this year and has several times in the past when their exclusives go live) because that volume (600 in 3 days) is by far lower than the number of orders processed once ordering for the Club Exclusives (Runamuck and Runabout this year) goes live, so in that context, no, it is definitely not props-worthy.

However, I will definitely agree that aside from that context, and by itself, that a third party company with exclusively internet based advertising for their club and toys is definitely impressive and a great start for their exclusive service.

Thank you...at least someone is paying attention. Yes, the original comment was giving FP credit for how smoothly they handled that peak rush of 50 or 60 orders over the course of an hour! Mad props for their servers being able to handle an order per minute at their busiest time! Of course this is FansProject we're talking about here... They could fart and the groupies would gush over how sweet the new fragrance they've created was...

No this is not FansProject, this is another group that sells their stuff and gets exclusives, kinda like the TFCC.
And seeing how the guy who posted that comment singed up solemnly to post that, I think it's safe to say that he's associated with them and tried to divert attention away from the stupid shipping.

Wow, call Ratchet we need a Wahmbulenece pronto

Seriously, if you can't stop from rambling about **** that isn't going to change, or won't be change, or you can't do anything about.. move on.
If you feel your voice needs to be heard, I'll sum it up for the FP crew who obviously is deeply worried...

1)Shipping outside of NA sucks, even though overseas shipping always sucks, I'll join the bandwagon anyway.

2)I hate TFCC
3)I think you love TFCC
4)I hate other people's success
5)I hate TFCC and Think you are TFCC in disguise
6)Toys are Super serial

sent by email, you can thank me later.

Now can we get back to the product at hand? Kinda like to know more about it, in the Thread about it.

If you wanna do any more bitching about TFCC, or TFC, or FP, or children, dogs and cats living together... make a new thread.
I'm sick of getting emails on new post only to read..

I tried running the above through Google translate and it just returned the following: lolwut?

Anyhow, back to the fig at hand... Anyone think since this guy's the 'core' and he has a cat's head that he might just turn into Voltron when all's said and done?

PS, that real eggy one is starting to grow on me after it has lingered about for a while...

How is responding to a wise ass after I made it clear this thread shouldn't turn into a pissing match about shipping and Fans Project Bandwagon gossiping Trolling?

If crying bout trivial things is going to be a necessity perhaps we should have a sub-forum for it. That way the rest of us who paid and are interested in the product can actually have a reason to check the thread when a post is made.

or we can go back to :BANG_HEAD:

Well, there is a super easy fix to that.
Don't subscribe to the thread then, take a look at the Options section below the posting field and remove the tick at "Notify me when a reply is posted".

And complaining about the shipping in a thread about a product that is so far only offered by a special store that tries to get as many people as possible to join it, is very valid. Especially considering that it's been purposely set so high.

especially when the first post in the thread mentioned the shipping. the intent was to spark a discussion, not only about how the toy looks, but about the actual pre-order process, including pricing.

I think a lot of 'fans' forget where they are and what they are doing when the spurt a load of abusive (trolling) nonsense on this website forum.
I'd like to see a 'strike bar' by their name, now that would be of interest! ;)

Apologies. I misunderstood. In my defense it was some time ago that you said that. Sorry. But the email Dead Metal got back from FPC does kind of disagree with what you're saying.

I'll second that.

Assuming I'm the wise-ass, most of your post made no sense, hence the response. You're welcome to PM if you'd like to discuss further.
