I'm starting to wonder if there will be only one repaint.
also, I'm betting the price will stay high, since these parts are all molded in different colored plastics, instead of painting.
In this case repaint may not mean cheaper.

I have no idea where or how you got this idea. Its the first I've even heard of a repaint. If the group has planned one, it wouldn't be released for over a year at this point. The colors shown for Steel Core are the main colors, and there isn't another recolored main release planned at this time.

I never said FansProject Core is run by a separate group, anywhere online. FansProject is very hands on with what goes on with FansProject Core. I read the email Dead Metal got. Theres no contradiction. They were simply comparing to how the distribution for Steel Core works, compared to distributors and retailers FansProject deals with. The main keyword in there was "think". Obviously the group is not going to respond back in the email the full details of how exactly Fansproject Core works. The best they'll do is give an easy explanation as not everyone understands the inner workings for something like this.

Anyways, for anyone still thinking Fansproject Core is just a separate group, with some sort of license. FansProject would not bother releasing a new figure through a group, with just 800 pieces. Thats a big loss financially, and no one makes money. Plus, we should have seen a price tag of $100+ before shipping for Steel Core. The fact the pricing is less than what a retailer will be charging off the bat, even at $79.99 price tag, shows FansProject is definitely a big part of FansProject Core.

that Steelcore figure looks good. i was doing a pre-order on the website, until i saw the shipping charge.
50 dollars shipping for a 70 dollar figure? that's just ridiculous. i'll wait 'till he's out and see if i can find him somewhere cheaper

I'm not sure what number everyone is going by to see what number figure they ordered, but if it is the order number, then they are doing more than 800. I just ordered one the other day(I didn't even know that this was up for preorder and I have been apart of the FansProject Core for over a year now and received no email or anything on it), and my order number was 863.

I saw that the other day..My first order was 126 but i was gonna pick another 1 up and i got #844..maybe cancellations and the # doesnt reset?

Well, my unpaid for order number was 227 so that's probably what it is. They said that doing that does not reserve or guarantee getting one. It seems order number doesn't matter, what matters is who pays first.
