Doubt it. The flame looks like the MP-08 Asia Exclusive re-issue incentive - the flame accessory for Grimlock's sword.

If they would have made him the same height as MP grimlock instead of those stupid moon boots, they would have had my money. MP grimlock resides on many classics shelves rather than MP shelves. Grimlock doesnt tower over MP prime like the cartoon, so they should have left it alone. If you go by cartoon scale, you now have dinobots that are too tall to be classics scale but too short to be MP scale. Total fail.

I'm not sure if this is total fail or not, but it does cut out one possible market.

I also currently use MP Grimmy for my classics display. I would have liked to get a full set of Dinobots in that size range to compliment him. By making Scoria bigger than him and adding the platform shoes, it hurts the ability to use these figs in that way.

I'm thinking the Giga Dinobots better suit my MP display, since they plan to make all 5 in a larger, consistent format.

After several upgrade kits and picking up Caelus, I may have a solution for Classics Dinobots I rather like, assuming Planet X puts out more of those guys, I'll be a pretty happy camper.

So MP Grimmy will probably get shuffled out of my collection at some point, so I don't need to get Scoria.

How am i supposed to know that you took the pictures ?? your name was not mentioned with the set of photos.

It's not like the groups on FB/twitter mention all the people who have taking the photos they post is it .

I don't know why your getting so worked up about it , we all want the same information why should it matter were it came from at the end of the day?

If your so bothered about getting credit for your photos you should tag your name in them .

It's just a little show of respect by mentioning the sources. Everyone that reports "news" does that. It's a fairly common thing.

Is your solution going to hopefully be the FoC Dinobots from them, and are the upgrade kits you mention those that have been released for Generations FoC Grimlock?

I'm with Optibotimus - if it takes 30 extra seconds to find out they're his pictures, it's worth it if it properly cites the source.

I think it's important to maintain the integrity of this community.

How ever i could have mentioned these were taken from Cybergeeks Alliance on FB who did not mention Optibotimus in there post, maybe words should be had with them , i would assume they would have much better knowledge of the source of things they post.

I will title the photos for Optibotimus .

That's nonsense. I don't get as much free stuff as people make out. Yeah i got this sent to me. But i still had to do a review of it. Which still requires work to do. Plus this isn't even a final version. I'm still buying the final version, so i don't see how that's such a tremendous perk for me in that respect.

It's not about getting the credit. It's about the integrity of things. In the real world, it's called plagiarism and diminishes the work that the person does. I spent the first hour taking pictures for people. Taking requests, answering questions...ect. Instead of actually working on the video. Credit would have been nice, but as i said, it's the principal that matters the most.

Free stuff is free stuff whether its the final product or not. I'm sure selling your advance copy will help you recoup most of the cost to buy the final version. So in the end, you still came up regardless. Not to mention the vast amount of insider knowledge you have on release dates and other stuff the rest of us are not privileged to knowing. I know it takes time and editing to do the review, but it's something you enjoy doing for the love of the hobby. Don't make it sound like your digging ditches. You've got a pretty big following on YouTube in the TF fandom. As I said before, you're THE MAN on here. You're among the top 5 reviewers everybody talks about on these fan sites. In a perfect world the fandom would always remember to give credit when posting pics. But in reality, this is the internet. People blatantly post stolen images of other people on the internet to do harm, not so much images of toy robots. There's no need to criminalize someone for trying to share something with the rest of us. I know many people put their logo or name on their photos before they post them. That should solve the problem no matter how many times your photos get shared in an endless chain. I'm sure the guy that got them from the guy, that got them from the guy, that got the from the guy who got them from your website meant no harm. Just being real with you. hope I don't come off as being offensive.

The only part it took as offensive was the beginning. The rest i have zero problem with at all.

The part that gets me is why everyone thinks i run around selling off the stuff they assume i get for free. Let me address that little rumor directly. I rarely get free stuff sent to me. When i do, like with Scoria, i usually end up keeping it or giving it away to friends of mine. Sometimes i'll do giveaways of them. When i do sell things i get, it's because i paid for them. This has been brought up several times amongst 1/6th scale collectors recently due to my reviews for Sideshow. I get offered items at a discount. I accept the discount because of the work i do in making the video. I accept the ones i want and turn down the ones i don't. What i think my viewers will like, i pay for, they send to me and if i don't feel it fits my overall collection, i sell the items. Usually at or below the actual price i paid for them, which is my 10% discount. Because the items are opened, i feel that's a fair balance for not charging whomever is interested in buying them at full price. I like paying for my stuff so that i don't feel i have to give a biased review. I feel that people appreciate that a lot more and respond better to that. I don't like getting free stuff because i don't want to worry about having to burn bridges if i don't like something. Now, not that i needed to explain any of that to you or anyone else...but hopefully you have a better understanding of how my situation is. I cannot speak for everyone because i don't know their arrangements...but this is mine.

Hey I appreciate you clearing that up. I see you put a lot of thought into how you do things to avoid negativity from the fandom. Thats cool. I personally wouldnt consider it unethical to sell advance copies because your work benefits their sales. But thats just me. I respect that you try to do something positive.

I know if I was FansToys I wouldn't send him more figures to review.

Well, you got your wish. Thanks.

Whoa....

The one reviewer that didn't give it a glowing gushing review...

And a lil bit of PR Damage control

Peaugh

Whoa. It's not a big deal. I clearly misinterpreted the email, which just said "Maybe you should review the final version of our future figures" and that's it. I've since talked a little bit more to the FT guy and it's not like that at all. So we're all good here. It was most definitely not a backlash about an imperfect review. I've never gotten the impression that FT was expecting anything less than an honest review and I still haven't. Let's not get all worked up at the company because I freaked out and spoke too soon. I still feel bad, I certainly didn't go into the review intending to screw anything up, and I'm the only one responsible for not getting the tail completely figured out. But after talking to FT we're all still good so it's a non-issue.

I know if I was FansToys I wouldn't send him more figures to review.

Well, you got your wish. Thanks.

Whoa....

The one reviewer that didn't give it a glowing gushing review...

And a lil bit of PR Damage control

The news crew and staff members are pretty diligent about giving credit, at least for as long as I've been here. If they didn't properly give you credit, I'm sure it was not intentional.

If I found some of my images or videos referenced by the crew, and attribution wasn't made, I'd just drop one of them a line explaining the situation. I doubt there'd be any issues.

BTW, I really like your reviews. Keep them coming! Image

Now that I've butted my nose in where it wasn't needed, this thing does look very good. Too bad I don't have the room or money. I'd love to have a set of Masterpiece Dinobots.
