Assulter actually reminds me of Leader-1 on steroids.

the designs on the legs look like they're emulating the stickers that were shown on the original prototype of Broadside that never got released, whilst the rest of the design seems to be following the released toy's design.

That's great. It's still not doing it for me.

What is Steelcore? Is that the Hearts Master? I like the idea of a new Broadside, but not feeling the design. I am getting tired of FansProject heavy astetics that the characters have - such as the legs and feet. FansProject Insecticons is a good example.

What do you mean by 'heavy astetics'?

What I mean is the arms, legs, and feet are portionately thick and heavy looking. A lot of their figures and concept art is like that. To me it looks neat on a select few figures, but gets boring after a while.

Ultra Magnus - that style looks good. He is a big character and should look formidable.

Insecticons - the heavy squat look doesn't look that great on Kickback or Shrapnel.

The head looks kinda fuct.

Then again, heads have never really been FPJ's strong suit...

I would imagine that order numbers have nothing to do with how many have been sold.

But you'd also think a decent amount would be ordering more than one to take advantage of their shipping. So who knows what that 800 number means, if anything other than a hype driver...

Maybe they decided to make this figure "made to order" like the TFCC is doing with their subscription service?

There's no doubt in my mind that the order numbers we're getting correspond to amount that's been sold so far. I ordered mine the day preorders went up (order 101) and have watched the numbers slowly climb since. Like Kibble said too... lots of people are likely ordering more than one, so it's very possible that many more than 1,079 have been sold so far.

I'm really surprised they actually put a number of 800 on this "exclusive release". Since it's getting released again in the future, the "800" number does nothing that ads any value in my mind and they should have just left that number out of it.

I take that back. JUST going to the checkout page creates an order number & there's no way to know how many people did or did not actually follow through with the purchase.

Correct. But did that happen almost 300 times plus how ever many people ordered more than one? Who knows? What I do know, though, is the dude giving props to how smoothly the website handled it sounds even sillier because we now know that there were even less than 600 orders in those 4 days...

I'd say that happening 300 times would normally be highly unlikely... but you have to take into account the outrageous international shipping people have been pissed about. I can see $50 shipping making a LOT of people back out of the checkout process... I know I would have.
