2 they release that steelcore hartmaster nonsense whos no even a tf...he only kinda resembles armada overload if you get the extra piece for him to be honest who gives a crap about armada overload? yet there making these insecticons exclsuive and limited in numbers?

sorry fp im just gona wait till these get koed because by the time someone on ebay wants to sell me these there gona be around the £150 mark for 3 toys (thats just under $300 to you guys)

Yeah im with you on this one. I admit they make really cool toys but i live in the arsehole of the world, little old New Zealand and it cost a fortune just to get anything from TFsource down here. So this is useless to me especially the point that i might not even get a chance to even buy them it kind of just makes me think why bother buying anymore because at these prices im just wasting my money. I didnt even get a chance to buy the first 3 and they were sold out! The only time i have been able to get any exclusive type of TF was when RTS Windcharger was realeased down here en-mass so i picked so i grabbed a few of those. But why make it so exclusive that some people can t get them why not make it widely available and make more money?

Those new headsculpts are fantastic . I wasn't expecting these to be exclusive but either way, I will be picking these up. The colours are too awesome to ignore to.

Considering that when they premiered, FP's insecticons went for about $50 each, I'd say that they're on par with FP's pricing scale. I agree with you that it's poor decision making these exclusives.

My knowledge in this area is rusty, but I believe what you're asking them to do is illegal. Yes, it's one of those laws which is pretty much un-enforecable and would cost the system more and any potential gain they stand to make by actually enforcing it, but that's the system. Yes it's stupid - I'm probably going to have to pay 40 bucks to get mine since I'm in Canada.

Apparently there were 800 Steel Cores and about 1300 sets of these (assuming no second runs are made of course). So whose more limited?

So, let's see, they price the figures at their standard pricing scale, they're tied into a seller who has to follow the shipping rules of the USA, and there's more of them released than the steelcores. So because everyone's playing fair and lawful they deserve KOs?

My only gripe if you could call it that is... I kinda would have preferred these three be the ninja insecticons and have the others equipped with original guns.

Gotta say, these became available for order much sooner than I expected though.

@Blurrz - There isn't a mold for Venom just yet. Last I heard... it's a 'might be' along the lines of new figure, FansProject site exclusive, and fembot. All hearsay, though.

I've wanted some good photos of these guys for a while now (and thank you for posting some high res pics). Like i've said before on the thread i started about the Deluxe team is that i held out on the G1 release colour scheme cause too me they SCREAMED Deluxe Insecticons and i knew that they would be released as such.Just a matter of time. They were always some of my fave figs as a kid.

An instant pre-order without hesitation. As far as the Venom mold goes. He was my all time most favourite crowning jewel in my collection as a kid. I sure hope they do him justice. I have little doubt that FP will nail it. But like i say....i have HIGH expectations.

I'm really happy with the way Ransack looks with the clear wings!

These guys are a real tight and solid homage.

Yeah, pretty much what NOS said. Venom will be a new mold and was hinted at being more feminine than the original. They didn't really say fembot so I don't know what to make of that. I assume it will look great regardless though.

Venom can't be a Fembot. There's no logic in doing so either. But he had the most articulation out of all the team back in the day and through the engineering choices attributed to that extra articulation and by sheer coincidence he could be construed as a bit feminine if just from the poses you could get with him. But it still doesn't apply. He's like Vega from Street Fighter for example.

If you own the g1 mold you would know what i'm talkin about. He's all leg.

I won't be broken up about it if FP Venom turns out to be a Fembot. In the end I'll just be happy to have Venom added to my Classics collection as I'm not attached to the character enough to gripe about it's robo-gender.

I just hope we see one eventually.

Agreed. I'm not partial either way as well. It's just that it makes not a lot of sense BUT if it does turn out to be a fembot....i'm cool with it.

On that note. Because this exclusive set is only being produced directly by the amount of pre-orders or out right purchases. It influences how many are actually made and ,because of which, they won't see a general release. Therefore, if you want them then place your order to get them custom made for you. I went ahead and bought the three.

Same. I learned my lesson from waiting on Steelcore and have been kicking myself over it ever since. Not letting these boys slip through my fingers like Steelcore.

Heh, I misinterpreted the preorder availability date and the cut off date thinking one was the other and by the time I went to preorder (and had finances taken care of) supplies were out of stock.

I held my breath hoping they would have a few more to sell after the TFcon like they said they might, but as fate would have it that was too much to hope for so now I'm holding my breath for the second run they 'might' do.

At least with this Armored Battallion set I can have them on preorder while I squirrel away my pennies for the shipping date.

These look beautiful. Shame I can't afford them though! If these were in any fiction back in the day I would have to have them but thankfully they weren't so I don't I would really love Barrage though as I remember my dad getting me it form Singapore and then I foolishly swapped it for Point Blank Very impressed by how these guys look.

I got my order in, I'm happy to see TFSource doing holiday specials again. I have all their WST Stocking Stuffers.

It isnt illegal to tell the store to mark an item as gift considering you are paying them there wages AND your paying for the damn shipping.

You have the option to mark it as gift - hence why its not illegal - the problem you get with items marked as merchandise in the uk is that if i purchased Hegemon for example and paid tfsource $40 for postage then this happens - I pay 80+40 for the postage to have the item sent to the uk - item arrives in customsUK - because the idiots at TFsource cannot do a simple request this then happens - A letter comes for me from customsUK saying i have to pay them £40 YES 40! thats OVER $80 to just be given my parcel. The retards at customs UK seem to think $40 counts as £40 on postage and because its marked as merchandise they then charge me to just be given my parcel

You wouldnt walk into a store and pay twice for an item or go to a mcdonalds drive-threw and then be told you have to pay extra for a guy to hand you the bag through your window

Every other store ive purchased from always marks the items as gifts so that theres no problems. Tfsource seem to not be able to follow a simple instructions - so sadly these guys are outa my reach

Also when the insecticons first came out i got all 3 of them for £25 each from a china seller (this was when they first came out so no there not the ko versions)

Customs charges do annoy the hell out of me, and ruin my day. That's why I now get stuff shipped to America and pick it up when I go there. Then pull a straight face and go through the 'nothing to declare' gates in the UK

Once I saw the email about these in my yahoo account i pre-ordered them on the spot! I really could care less if these are repaints with minor alterations of new weapons and head molds, these three are very awesome looking, love the color upgrade and i use to Ransack as a kid, but still have Venom in good shape and if FP comes out with Venom as their leader that will be awesome, but i have one question though, what about Ratbat? I thought he was in with this bunch? and also a leader as well before he was a slave to Soundwave in cassette form or am I out context here? anyway, just slap some Decepticons factions on them and their good to go.

Nonetheless, you're asking them to falsify a customs declaration form. That. Is. Illegal.

That's a false argument because whatever goods you're purchasing, you're keeping within the country. If I'm in the US, and I buy me some merchandise that isn't food, then I drive across the border to Canada, there's a pretty good chance they will ask me for customs charges. Welcome to the dealings of International Trade. That's the system whether you want to complain about it or not.

Besides, according to the UK Border Agency's site, you're eligible for duty on a gift package if it's over £40, so for this package you're screwed either way.

Is it easy to get around? Sure, and most people (including me) do it. However in the slim chance you get a stickler at the desk, they have every right to either charge you or refuse the package entry into your country. And there ain't nothing you can do about it. If you want to do something about it; might I suggest campaigning for a change in International Tariff laws? Perhaps writing your elected representative?

Congrats, you found a way to beat the system on those. But that isn't what the MSRP on the figure apparently were.

So again - you're asking them to falsify documents and you're PO'd that the figures are on par with what most of the fandom pays for FP stuff.

Sounds like a page taken out of the Dreamwave Generation 1 continuity where Ratbat led a small subfaction called 'Ultracons'. The deluxe insecticons were part of that subfaction.
