After I spent hours last night and all day refreshing the page, I had to leave the computer for a few hours. I got my preorders in for two of each Stunticon (one for me and one for a friend) and Chromedome. Between them, Giant, and YotD Omega Supreme, nearly half my tax return just vanished.

Deadend's chest throws off the set a little. The others resemble their G1 selves except from Deadend. The old digibash of the Wildrider mold in Deadend colours looked better. However, I'm so glad I preordered the first two members of this set. Can't wait to see Motormaster.

I'm beginning to think that this may be the third party combiner that finally shows Hasbro and Takara not only what they should be doing, but also what they *could* be doing, even with their current cost-cutting measures and safety regulations in place with regards to combiners. These guys look like modern Has/Tak product, just done right. These figures aren't massive and don't appear to be overly complex or even covered with tons of paint.

If the set ends up being Scramble City style as well (which I fully expect it will given the pics we've seen so far of Breakdown in both leg and arm mode), then that just reinforces my theory. They're going to accomplish what FoC Bruticus tried to do, but failed miserably at accomplishing.

I don't know why people seem to have a problem with Dragstrip. It's not a female nor two dwarfs in a duck suit ( :-( ) and still has an altmode to die for. I look at it as we're buying a car that turns into an arm that happens to have a botmode.

I'm just glad to retire my HTS Dragstrip from my Season 2 shelf!

I wouldn't have minded if it was a female character. Alt mode will probably be ok. the pics earlier in the thread of the actual vehicle sold me on that. But DS was the one Stunticon I had a kid, and I did quite like his look, in both modes. This robot looks less like a version of the G1 character than a better version of the DOTM Human Alliance guy.
good argument about it being a cool car that transforms into an arm and has a bonus bot mode though. I'll probably still end up getting the lot of them. Kinda want Menasor pics now though.

Honestly, Im disappointed in Dead End and Drag Strip. their so neo (ugh) and Dead end looks so Hasbroish with those shoulders and fold down car hood. He looks like legends Wheelie. I someone comes out with a set of G1 (cartoon) heads.

Holy freakin' cow. Those are so pretty, I must must must have them all.

That set is amazing. I hope Mkall is right and that these higher prices help balance out Motormaster's price. If all of the figures have their prices raised, then this is going to be one expensive set and I'm going to be less than impressed with FP on this one.

MakeToys made 6 figures affordable with yellow Giant. $125.00 per set. $375.00, works out to be $62.50 per figure and their accessories. And there are some complex pieces at play in that set. This is one robot less, they're smaller than the Constructicons, and it costs almost as much if the projected price holds up.

That's highly disappointing.

Breakdown and Wildrider are obviously home runs.

Drag Strip looks like ****.

Dead End is decent enough I guess.

At this price point and size, Motormaster and the combined mode really could make or break this set for me, gonna have to be over the top.

I agree with the dude that said that the next two look like a different line. It took me a while to figure that out they weren't, keep thinking they must be stand ins from a hasbro release I missed.

VERY glad the madness of a female Dragstrip was just a rumor. This is to fill the Stunicon-sized hole in my Neo-G1 Seasons 1-movie collection, not to be some kind of Animated homage on top of it all.

I like all of these. Granted, they are very much "classic-ized", but they're recognisable as who they're supposed to be from G1. That's enough for me. I suppose I don't have the sort of connection tot hese guys others may have, so changes to them don't bug me so much.

Thanks dude, this is turning into a stupid month for me. 2 MMC bots, now these guys, but I can't complain. I think all 4 stunticons revealed so far are beautiful, and I can't wait to see Motormaster. I've always wondered what FansProject could do if they created an entire combiner from scratch, looks like we will find out soon enough.

Personally, I am expecting Motormaster to be at least twice the cost of the individual figures revealed so far, I guess he will be (at least) voyager sized and will have all the combiner kibble included. So us limeys will be spending £300 in this guy, £30 more than Giant cost me.

I'm hoping that the individual figure price is higher than FP's normal to spread the cost around so Motormaster will be cheaper. FP has yet to put out a single item with a MSRP over $100 since that was the ceiling Hasbro officially stated on third party items. I know every other company seems to be ignoring that but FP still hasn't crossed that line. And if they go for the Ongoing design (which is too awesome for them not to try) all the combiner kibble would be part of Motormaster anyway. On the other hand, they have the total design cost of a complete combiner to recoup so I might be wrong but I doubt it. I'm expecting it to be the standard Warbot price of $85-$90.

I think it's *possible* that Motormaster might come without his trailer to keep costs for individual items low. After all, their City Commander armor is kind of the same idea - a trailer that splits apart - and that was $80 originally. If MM is as big as they say, it might push him over $100 if his traielr were included with him.

Hopefully if there is no trailer then they will provide a hitch so that shadow commander can be used instead...

This is not actually true, to be exact. D.I.A. Commander was $120, so Fansproject already crossed the $100 line. Yes, it was an exclusive, but it still was a fansproject product over $100, though I'm with you on the $85-$90 price.

That's why I'm hoping for the Ongoing design. He didn't have a separate trailer, he was more like a delivery truck. The cab went all the way up his legs and they became Menasor's feet and the bulk of his body was the "trailer" section. Menasor's hands were just his forearms with larger hands switching out and his torso folded in to become Menasor's.

It all worked so well on the page, no extra parts or kibble, and it should work for the toy. Him not being a big rig anymore got away from the rather moronic idea of him being a rival for Prime on the road. Since it's an Energon-style combiner (to go with Superion & Bruticus), Motormaster should only be a deluxe-ish height like Silverbolt and Onslaught while having the extra bulk that he needs to have his combiner parts.

It's absolute fact that Motormaster has cab feet, does come with his trailer and all of the parts for Menasor are integrated. One price will cover all the necessary components to make Menasor whole. All you need is the limbs that are coming out over these next few months.

The price for Motormaster hasn't been released yet, perhaps not even set yet, but he will come with everything and will have his trailer.

Dead End is way too Hasbroish. Looks just like Legends Wheelie. It does look like those shoulder things are on a ball joint and can be rotated downward as wrist armor. I really hope so.

Isnt anyone concerned that the car parts will become Menasors feet ? I Personally dont give a crap about parts intergration. I grew up with G1 so Im not a big fan of the concept. Every stinking part doesnt need to be used at all times. It creates stupid kibble, drives up the cost of designing the figure, and makes it more delicate and complicated to transform. Id rather have two identical feet like FP Bruticus than the hoods of tha car becoming two different weird stubby feet. That is so Hasbroish. It works for Devy but Im not liking that neo crap on the other combiners. That would ruin the combiner mode in my opinion.

I have faith that Fansproject will prevail with combined mode. I say this because everything I have bought from them I have loved, and I don't see why FP would turn around and ruin Menasor, a combiner, in my opinion, that has been greatly anticipated, despite the assumption of the negative people on the boards may say. Of course, there will always be a few, no matter what gets produced, who are jaded and always have to say "aw, that sucks". FP has a perfect batting average with me, and I doubt this endeavor will be any different. Then again, I'm not as picky as to say that I won't pick a certain figure up just because I didn't like the color of their head, but to each his (or her) own.....

I had seen a picture of Breakdown transformed into what appeared to be a foot and it looked horrible. Ill try to find it. Thats where my "assumptions" come from. My "rage" as you put it is nothing more than an opinion involving my stance on how people want about "intergrated parts". I personally prefer add on parts like the original G1 combiners. I have almost every part from my G1 childhood collection and dont loose stuff. I dont need them attached.
