I e-mailed BBTS to see if they can clarify whether these are the originals or the re-colors. I also questioned the price hike since they are coming direct from the factory. Hopefully on monday we get an answer. Until then ill keep my pre-order for the Asia exclusives Bruticus Maximus.

Let us know, I'm not buying them for double the price.

Me either. The pre-order says October so Im thnking thats too soon to be the new versions. Thats just my guess. Although, I disagree with the double price, but it they are the old stock, it kind of makes sense. Although I doubt they will sell too many originals at e-bay prices...

The listing is indicative that these are rereleases of the original versions. If that's the case, it must be a rather low print run from FP, because there's no real reason for such a price hike (as mentioned before, that's double the original price). Other FP products that have seen recent print runs have been priced a bit higher than before, but not at this level. It's puzzling that FP would sell the originals AND the recolors around the same time.

Sadly, I disagree with your assessment of selling them at e-Bay prices. I just did a completed listings search, and $200 is still cheaper than any completed set that has been sold in the past 3 months.

The new Munitioner would be a godsend as I managed to break the shoulder peg off on my original.

BBTS got back to me and confirmed that these pre-orders are for the old versions. They said the new decos would be put up later on. They defended their double price hike as being fair. I sent a reply back asking what would be the price of the new decos and if all future Fansproject scout size releases will start at $99.99. Lets see what they say...

I suppose their (FP's) excuse for jacking up the price compared to other 'deluxes' would be the combiner kibble. There's a lot more plastic on those boxes than just the figures themselves when compared to FP's not-secticons and such.

Still, my fingers are crossed hoping that the new deco versions go for a more reasonable price.

BBTS has the new ones up for preorder.
