Sure don't. Pretty sure they weren't posted around here. Until the new opinion change of 3P toys on this site I only came here for my TF news... blah, blah, blah

Who did these mock-ups anyway? They look great... though it just reinforces that I'll love that figure no matter how it's dressed... blue/yellow leg-circuits and all. This one has some unique, yet oddly attractive proportions.

I'm completely happy with its visuals so far... I just worry what it what it'll feel like in comparison to the other Warbots in this line. Hopefully Defender was a MAJOR learning experience and SteelCore was not a fluke.

You know the way Hasbro re-release their Masterpiece figures with an upgrade/retool, I wonder if FansProject fancy doing a job on Defender?
I would love a Defender in amongst my Classics!

Im warming to FansProjects Assaulter/Broadside the more I see him. I know in-package shots can be deceiving but am I right in saying hes around Voyager Class?

Not sure how that makes sense, I mean who doesn't own one of Defender or Steelcore? Who wants Steelcore if they aren't interested in TF homages? I guess the scalpers will go to town.

Just give us a damn pre-order for Assaulter on his own!

Soooo full of want, if I had a large sum of cash right now this would be ordered, even with any crazy shipping costs?

I guess 3 x items shipped to the U.K. would be around £40ish?

I have Defender already, not too impressed with him, but I'm not a huge Springer fan either.

I don't have Steelcore (yet) but don't want him or Broadside bad enough to sign up for FPC just for the 'privilege' of buying their products. If this stuff starts showing up on BBTS, I'll bite, if not, then FP won't see my wallet open, even if it means I have to pass up Steelcore, Broadside and the Stunticons.

Yes, this pretty much sums up my reaction too. With the increased costs associated with Hasbro stuff at Target and Walmart, the struggling economy, and so many desirable third party products out there, choices will have to be made. I have a huge amount of respect for what FP did for the Tsunami victims in offering a free targetmaster for a donation (it certainly got my lazy butt off the couch to make the donation I tend to have the intention to do but rarely follow through on). I'd really like to support them. But I don't have that endless pot of money. FPC Herc set me back for a while. I really, really would like to have Broadside, but Steelcore doesn't intrest me that much and I already have Defender. I love FP stuff and can't wait for finally having a decent Stunticons set. But if they continue to only offer stuff through their core site, especially in bundles like this, and not through general retailers like BBTS, I might have to quit these third party products. Or maybe shift and buy Uranus or the not-Predacons.

Just have to make some hard choices now... Maybe I should sell off my movie collection...

Very odd that they announce a bundle pack, yet either deliberately or callously forgot to mention whether Assaulter himself would be up for pre-order individually. And still no updates on the next wave of SteelCore.

The bundle pack may be nice for those who do not own any of these figures, and I would say this is a GREAT strategy to employ to market to those folks. Overall, the announcement was just lacking.

Not odd at all. Obviously they want to sell as much as they can... especially Defender, their weakest link. I'm sure a lot of people will get the bundle pack instead of waiting for Assaulter's solo-release or the next wave of Steelcore. In fact... I'm tempted.

Then it's simply not a good plan, period. I would agree with other posters stating that a lot of us already have Defender and/or Steelcore. Not knowing the exact price for Assaulter alone (but maybe later today we will), I can't estimate what the savings/incentive to get all three together will be.

For those of you who do not own but would like all 3 of these figures, congrats! I feel that the statement should've been "Later today, preorders for Assaulter will be available AND you also have the option to choose this bundle of our 3 figures." The bundle preorder without the individual preorder just isn't a good strategy.

Assaulter will be up for pre-order by himself. Note that Assaulter is a mass release figure. KapowToys has the placeholder in place and the other e-tailers will eventually follow suit. The bundle is just way for them to help out the other fans that haven't had their hands on SC and/or Defender yet. Hang tight.

Yep, I don't see anything wrong with them doing deals like this for FPC members at all. It's a good thing.

I just don't want them to start making most of their toys FPC 'exclusives'. I'm certain I'm not the only one who would prefer to do my shopping for this stuff at one of the typical etailers.

I hope Steelcore shows up on BBTS at some point as well. I really would like to have one after having seen the reviews of him. He doesn't homage anything, but I like his style a lot and he seems like a real solid figure. I can put him up in my 'post-G1/prior to the Beast Wars' collection easily since Powermasters etc. were a part of that.

Lol... it's a little more than that & it's obvious. This is the FIRST release of Assaulter... the ONLY current order. It's all a bit shady & I can't say I blame them... I'm sure they just have some stock of Defender to get rid of & this is a very clever way to push it on people that barely want it. I personally hate the figure... but still find myself tempted because Steelcore was so awesome I wouldn't mind owning a second. Unfortunately... that'd mean me selling a Defender on eBay & I'm just not sure I can do that without feeling guilty for selling someone a crappy figure for a lot of money.

Personally, $250 isn't that great of a deal for these 3. Steelcore was $60, Assaulter has been rumored to be $80-$90... that leaves you with a $90-$100 figure (Defender), whose smaller than Steelcore and can't stand up without assistance from City Commander's BFG in his ass.

Just feels like they're playing mind-games with they way they're releasing things... I don't like it at all. This isn't supposed to be a frickin' game of poker... just sell your damn toys already. Happy thoughts...

Gamble ALL you want... but don't encourage others. At this point I don't think it's the smart thing to do. Defender sells for about $100 on eBay (still available at a lot of etail locations for about the same price)... you can get a Steelcore on eBay for about $160. However, by the time you have these in-hand, the rest of the produced Steelcores should be available at different outlets as well as Assaulter... so the crazy-steep prices WILL drop VERY soon. Defender will not only STILL be available at online stores, but will see a surge of increased listings on eBay. And then there's your eBay and Paypal fees... which are far from insignificant... not to mention all the pain-in-the-ass running-around.

This ain't a bad deal if you want all three for yourself... but if you think you're going to sell Steelcore & Defender & have an Assaulter for cheap, I really think you're pushing it.

I've already got WB-001 & -002, and I have to admit I'm tempted by this set. I'd be getting in early on Assaulter, I'd have a second SteelCore to repaint into Optimus (which is what I originally wanted SteelCore to be a homage of) and a second Defender to dick around with in a modding capacity.

You're really hung up on this idea of SteelCore seeing a general release, despite absolutely no word as to whether that will be the case (for the original version at least).

That's the point. If you want to buy the set, then have at it. If you don't want to, it's your prerogative. Saying that it's a bad deal, which is what you were alluding to in your previous post, is dependent on the person who's buying. Like what I posted before, this bundle is for those who've missed the previous two bots and would like to get all three at the same time. If you want to wait, Assaulter will eventually be available at FPC and other e-tailers.

"Think about it" - make sure you weigh your options, before you put money down for this bundle.

Why did you contradict yourself?

Personally, $250 isn't that great of a deal for these 3.

"exclusive first wave pre-order for the members of this site"

there's been a bunch of other stuff that implies the obvious... mostly on their Steelcore pre-order page which isn't up any more. The first wave of 800 was exclusive to FPC... what does that imply exactly? If you said anything else but "waves available outside of FPC" you've got serious reading-comprehension issues. This doesn't mean it's a promise by FPC by any means as they haven't blatantly said it & they seem to enjoy trying to keep everyone on the edge of their seat...
