Damn. Well there goes another 160 bucks. Kinda glad I am in for the second run. Hopefully they correct any early issues.
Anyone know what they plan on doing with the hose?

I've bought one. Stressed out at work so tried a little retail therapy and it does work. Looking forward to opening this and MP Soundwave now.

I'm not into buying third party masterpiece figures but... I kind of want this now.. the hose is a little weird... too thin and in the wrong place. Maybe they'll fix it in the final product. decisions decisions.

Is this a final produced product or just a painted prototype?? If this is just a painted prototype, I'm assuming the purple might be different on the final?

I just say that because I think the grape purple they used is a little off from the cartoon magenta purple.

I think they did a great job, and the transformation is perfect, I don't know how that could be topped. That said with all the MP goodness from Takara right now, I'm excited for an official release...

How do they do it?

Fantastic.

Thansk for the video. Glad the reviewer is impressed with the quality. The robot mode is uncanny, and he is MP size; but I don't get the Masterpiece impression with the toy.

Two complaints - I don't like how there is space between the arms in the alt mode. And his robot mode is a little on the blocky looking side. Shockwave had more curvature.

that, along with the size, and the colour combine to mean I won't be getting this. kind of a shame, as Optibotimus' comments on the quality of it make me want it. I do think he's just a bit too bright of a purple though, and he'll tower over all my other figures. Being as tall as Grimlock is fine, but only if it's dino-mode Grimlock, and this guy would make the t-rex look like an emu. Not cool. If they ever do a Voyager or even Ultra sized one I'll be down for it, but he's just a little too large for my collection. FOC Shocky will have to do for now. I'll just keep pretending he's off in the distance.

For everyone that is getting this or has already committed to this, are you guys ok with where the hose is and the size of it?
For some reason this is still bothering me quite a bit.
I'm still on the fence... but if this was coming out during some of the dryer months last year It would have already been brought.

i dont..but to anyone who does, vangelus mentioned that FT is planning on slight mod on the final version so that the hose is connected at the back of the forearm..

I would think any modification to the elbow to make it rotate all the way around would be sufficient to satisfy everybody.

Size of the hose is different. Perhaps size matters, perhaps not, but there's not a lot one can do about it if it's too small.

(Gotta stop reading the Hardbone and Genesis threads...)

The hose and stuff doesn't bug me. Overall I think the figure looks pretty good. And my policy when mostly on the fence is buy the figure in case it gets expensive later.

Received an invoice from Automation Toys for the Quake Wave I preordered from them, which means it should be shipping to me soon. Mp-13 Soundwave is anxiously awaiting the arrival of his bro; they're getting the band back together....

I knew I wanted this when I saw the gray prototype. Now my only question is whether to buy more than one.

I'll know after I try placing MP Laserbeak on his shoulder. :CON:

Just got mine from Captured Prey today...forgot I had ordered it lol! Great figure now that I have it in hand :) Solid, well built, looks great next to MP 13. The purple was something I was hesitant about, but it actually looks pretty good in person. Also got the opaque hand and laser.

Got mine the other day, although I didn't get the opaque hands :(

However, I still love it!

Because of licensing issues with the original, I seriously doubt we will see an official version of this guy in MP form, and I have to say, I am mighty impressed.

Great transform, a few display choices with the backpack, a great addition to the MP shelf.

Not sure if everyone's already aware of this or not but saw this

"Captured Prey
We've received confirmation of a third run of Quake Wave, due out in June. Stay tuned for more info soon, as we're just waiting to hear back on one question..."

Question is about a grey shackwave
