Wellw ith all the FF re-ports comming out it wa sonly a matter of time ebfore we saw the firts of the PSX games see a new console, only handheld this time.

THe Classic Final Fantasy Tactics is being brought out on PSP uner the title Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War. Gnerally we'll be getting the same game but that's only the start. Square Enix has confirmed improvements and the addition of new job classes.

Two Job classes confirmd are Onion knight and the ever infamous job class everyone wanted Ramza to have but could never give it to him without third-party software.

The only thing this will do is make Agrias into a one-woman wrecking crew. Add in two-swords, counter, and equip Knight swords and a auto-haste accessory, it's over using her alone.

It's also confirmed Balthier will be a playable character in the game as well but whether it is the same Baltheir from FFXII and not a descendant is yet to be known. It's possible since Cloud was pulled into the world of Ivalice via a machine so Baltheir may join in a similar manner. Some have brought up the concerns of party capacity but SE could easily extend the cap.

FF XII takes place in the same world as Tactics, so no machine would be needed to bring Balthier over.

I've had the game for the PSX for many years. I honestly loved the refreshing dark storyline. It's fun yeah, but if you havea gameshark you can shark any chracter in the game. I have Gafgarion in my party.

Same world, yes, but a different time period, so there would still need to be something to bring Balthier to the... past, I think is where FFT takes place in relation to XII.

According to Square Enix FFT takes place 500 years after. They do reference to a time when airships filled the sky.

There are very few games I'm looking forward to more than this. FFT was the best game I'd ever played until FFXII came out.

Here's hoping Square takes the time to retranslate the game so we don't get stuck with that crap-ass translation from the original release.

Yes it is the Dark Knight class. it won't function like a normal started job class as you can't select it. Your default job class will still be present though.

Yes it is possible to make Ramza a Dark Knight via gameshark but it does not switch back and forwarth like the other classes. You'll learn the sword attacks automatically without having to spend JP. Your GS must be on to activate or reactivate it (if you change classes) and it won't work during the first battle of the game. You could even turn some of your generics into the other NPC's like Weigraf, Balmafula, Gafagrion, Olan, Delita, etc. Said site used to be a GS exclusive but it went on to codebreakers and so on when PS2 came out. Since then it's not so easy to access the site. Plus you can't use the codes on a PS2 gameshark which sucks.

you can find PS1 gamesharks on sites like amazon.com, and you can find the codes here:
