Yeah. There's what it's worth, and there's what it costs. The only reason I'm comfortable buying these things is their value isn't likely to go to zero, since they are functioning toys after all, and there's a good chance I can get my money back if I somehow lose my interest in Transformers. (How exactly that would happen, I have no idea. I started playing with these things at age 4, and although I had about a 20-year hiatus, the difference now is I can buy them myself and get whatever ones I want.)

Hopefully Hasbro will release Soundwave state-side at a more reasonable price. MP-10 U.S. release at $100 is pushing it, but I don't think Hasbro would attempt such a high price with any other character.

I can't wait to get the rest of the cassettes when they come out.

I can't wait to see what MP's are next. I know Takara already spoke about plans for a new Ultra Magnus, and probably a G2 MP Megs.

One MP I hope they make ( there are so many I would love to see ) is G1 Jet Fire. But I think since they are going with in scale MP line, I don't see it happening, as he would have to be huge.. ...Oh well there is always hope, and I can't wait to see what's next.

Oh yeah, that reminds me. If you blow up the picture and look at the reflection on the glass in the back, you can get an idea of what the back of Soundwave's alt mode looks like. Unfortunately it does not look nearly as neat and tidy as the front--a bunch of kibble is evident.

I have always waited for the Hasbro release of every Masterpiece(Except Megatron obviously) but this will be the first one that I pre-order and have imported. This thing is amazing!!

The colored photos for Sideswipe show hollow plastic tires. Oh well.. No interior and now this. But I'm still fine with the toy. As long as it's the size of a HA Bumblebee.

Our sources pinned the SW release with SB, and since SW has one cassette I'm sure SB will come along with one. Laballed from the start that the cassettes would be released as two-packs.

It's great, I'm not dissing it. I'm just saying it would be rather foolhardy for them to name it MP-15. I know it's semantics but since they will be two-packs or separate it's better for them to be labelled MP-13# or n or whatever to indicate they interact with Soundwave.

I really hope that MP Soundwave comes with more cassettes than just laserbeak....I really want Frenzy and Rumble *Crossing fingers*

Where is the best place to preorder? I have it preordered at BBTS, but if someone knows something I don't know….

Look at his prototype pics, the only visible kibble is on his legs. You can't even see how his arms fold back, they managed to hide a lot.

I really wish the official product had a bit more detailing in him, it looks too plain for the Masterpiece line. Look how much detailing went into MP-10. Oh well, I'm just glad that we are getting an official Soundwave. Laserbeak sells me on the TT product of course. I want a Buzzsaw, Ravage and Frumble next please. Do it like your Encore line and release a pack of tapes.

I thing fantoys version looks better to with way more detail. Mp-13 is nice but hes kinda plain and it's nice to see all the stuff he's coming with and not just one tape

takara is going for cartoon accuracy.. i can't recall that much detail on the cartoon model.. can you? no.

i think people make too much about small little line details and what not. acoustic wave had way too much unnecessary detailing.

takara's version is perfect. we don't need a bunch of ridiculous detail that is just going to fade away when the color gets put on.

Well I hope the TT version is able to pose in the way the the FT one is. Because that's the way I wanna display my soundwave with him hitting the eject button and laserbeak ejecting out of his chest. And I hope his fingers are better articulated than mp-10s and mp-9s

The light bar is tacky. Unless it's removable or has LED...I would rather wait for Sunstreaker or the inevitable black/evil version to come out.

Sunstreaker don't have anything to do with Red Alert. Why would you skip Red for 'Streaker?

Never realized that too... I wonder why they did it when Sideswipe never had wheels on his shoulders in the cartoon... He only had them in the Dreamwave/IDW comics...

MP Sideswipe doesn't have wheels on his shoulders. Only MP Red Alert.


The animation model to Red Alert had differences from Sideswipe, for instance wheels on his shoulders.

Oh. Well, now I know what they can do to improve Red Alert — they could try to work in the doors onto his arms.

I am excited to see that Takara, and Hasbro are at least starting to realize that they needed to start taking care of their TF franchise fan collectors base more.

Nothing in life is ever going to be exactly what we want, because to be honest I don't think humans have a clear idea of what we want, and as soon as we get whatever it is we believe we want, we end up wanting more.

These are toys, and luxuries to all, so they are certainly not a reason to be rude to one another, while expressing our opinions here on these boards.
