I think he's worth picking up, though I echo others in stating he's too small. I'm currently using the FansToys version that Mkall referred to as my neo-classics Skockwave. He's meant to scale with the MP line, but I think he looks okay on a classics shelf as well. Afterall G1 Shockwave towered over the rest of the Decepticons, so I'm cool with that happening in classics.

If you want my two cents, FoC Shockwave works fine and dandy if you have other FoC figures repurposed as G1 Cybertronian forms. Ok, I cheat a little with scale, I use a smaller scale for Cybertronian forms, and a regular one for Earth Mode figures.
Top 5 Priorities:

1) BW Neo X-7 Elphaorpha
2) BW II VS-18 Powerhug vs. Autocrusher
3) Universe 2003 Night Slash Cheetor
4) RiD Landfill (regular, not the yellow)
5) BW Convobat (red) & Megalligator (purple)

Also looking for Arms Microns, especially Shadow (Gora & R.A.), Hellflame and Shining (O.P. and R.A.).

Preparing to move to the US!

Small size? Who cares, the sole idea of him is terrifying!

Get the figure, it's a good 'un. :D

 Great way of putting it! The need to replace him isn't as strong any more :D

Kinda late to the party, I know, but I'll just add my two cents' worth anyway.

FoC Shockwave is actually in scale with his fellow FOC toys. In the cutscene after Megatron chases a newly-coronated Starscream from the gladiatorial arena, you can see that Shockwave is shorter than Megs. So he's not quite as large as some might imagine.

In short, I recommend getting him if you have a dedicated FOC shelf on display, but he's way too small to scale in with your neo-G1 toys, especially if MP-10 OP is your chosen G1 Optimus.

I think FOC shockwave is pretty cool. He is definitely fun to pose.

I put those Cyclonus legs on him for a little more height.

I disagree with a lot of the size complaints. He's a tad taller than the Classics Seeker mold (his eye meets their foreheads); that's good enough for me.

There's also this still from "Revenge of Bruticus" where Shockwave is a tad taller than Starscream, considering they're right next to each other. But again, I won't complain either way.

You also dismantled it to create Space Case, not sure that still counts. Image

 I actually had quite some fun with him before "off with your head". Air Raid is the recently rare figures I've seen Hasbro did very well on the coloring.

Except for the Combaticons.

But he does scale well with Generations Megatron, Soundwave, and starscream, and in my display the four gather, like a Decepticon high command war council.

And, of course, it's Shockwave, and his first new Hasbro mold in a while. He's worth getting for that reason alone.

Fair point.

Still, the movie aesthetic divides some folks, and I'd consider Aligned Shockwave much closer to his G1 incarnation and his movie self to be far less interesting, if better scaled.
