Wow, lol.

True story. Exact thing happened when I got this as a present. I thought it was stuck with the wrapper somewhere, and looked for it for 10 minutes.

Smh, that's messed up... lol

Haha.. well I kinda saw on the net that they don't come with the guns so I knew..

But if I didn't, guess I would have done that too. I lost ROTF Chromia's missle out of packaging before, so nowadays I'm extra careful.

Instead of making a whole new FOC Soundwave thread, I thought I'd ask this here. How do you get Soundwave's chest door to sit at an angle flush with the sloped part of the front of his hood in vehicle mode? I've seen photography of people managing this, as well as in some online video reviews, but the stock photography on the back of the box just lets in hang down, leaving a gap. It looks like there are two tabs on the top of the piece that should catch and hold with gravity and friction, but it doesn't work for me. Is there a trick to it? It'll stay if I bend the spikes on the bottom back at an angle, resting them against the plastic of the vehicle frame, but it looks like they are supposed to stick out forward, not backward.

I'm pretty sure you answered your own question. The chest window pegs loosely into the bits that fold onto the shoulders which form the top-front of the altmode. The 'fangs' on the door are hinged so that they can fold in and sit against he body of the car, holding the window in place.

Yeah, that's what I thought, except the tabs don't really peg into anything at all, it seems, and the teeth on the front are bent back at a much less severe angle from other pics and videos I've seen. I wasn't sure if my figure was defective.

hasbro drops the ball again, the figure is great but these little things stop it from being perfect. The eject gimmick doesnt work the gun that is show in the instructions is not there & the plastic is cheap, i didnt even transform him yet and there were stress marks on him. Also laserbeak is in serious need of paint apps. But with all that aside he is a big voyager and was $21 so im happy.

But on another note ive got 2 questions: is soundblaster in the same wave/case? All i found were soundwaves no soundblasters & has anyone tried to fit multiple discs in his chest? it looks like you can fit a few in there but dont want to try in fear of them getting stuck.

You can fit a few in there. I think it's three Soundwaves to a Soundblaster ratio out the box.

3 soundwave's and 1 soundblaster per case so far. That might change in the future of course
You can fit 3 discs into his chest, but be wary as the discs are slightly difficult to get out once you have them in there.

My son has been having the same problem with his foc Soundwave. It looks like the tabs should fit like how you see in a few vids but it it just wont stay in that angled position for some reason. The only thing I can think of to try and fix this to put some clear nail polish inside the hinge's and see if that'll give it some strength to stay in that position.

Huh, mine doesn't seem to have a problem in that regard. The tabs basically do nothing, but the part is stiff enough that it doesn't hang down or anything. Maybe it's like Shockwave's gun, some people have one the tip stays on just fine, others (like me) have one where it won't.

Yeah the hinge is really lose and just kinda flops around, and will only stay in place if the chest claws are bent all the way down.
Well like I said time for the clear nail polish treatment.

That's an understatement! I put just the ONE disk into Soundblaster and then spent the next ten minutes trying to pry it out without breaking something. I'm afraid to ever put it back in there.

Even by using the lever in the back? :???:

What were you doing it it that you gave it stress marks? The plastic feels fine on mine. He's definitely lighter than previous voyagers, but I attribute that mostly to his massively hollow torso. Definitely very good and very solid.

Mine has the same issue. Things catch on the molding around the edge and (especially) the exposed spring bit.

Yeah, the hinge on mine is VERY loose, so that's likely the problem. I might take a look at it later and see if it's something I can just tighten with a few turns of a screw or whatnot.

Yes, even using the lever! As RAcast mentioned, the plastic around the rim of the launcher prevents the disk from coming out to the point where it took a scary amount of force to get the disk out. It was a miracle I didn't break the entire figure in half doing it.

I took a rotary tool to the inside the chest of my Soundwave and nom the discs slide out easily. Rumble still gets stuck for some reason and I don't know why because Frenzy doesn't.
