I can't STAND the Classics mold. In jet mode, it's really quite nice, but the robot mode is frustrating to pose. Now, I have the Classics (2006) version, not the much improved Universe 2.0 (2008) version, so the eyes are all but invisible from any angle but straight on.

But coming back to my main frustration...it's painful to pose it; it just wont' stand up, the jet thruster heels are awful! For those of you who don't own the mold, they're rounded, like the MP version. Unlike the MP version, they aren't on a ball joint and therefore can't be swiveled to compensate for any leg position other than standing straight. Plus they have ratchet-y movement...at 45 degree intervals... I'm looking forward to picking up FoC Starscream to replace the one sitting on my shelf.

I think I'll start with the foc one, as I'll probably find it cheaper at the moment anyways. Maybe even at retail, but later I'll up to the Generations 2.0 version. I have the Galvatron figure form the same series and to me it matches the FOC stuff extremely well, in robot mode anyways.

G1 on the other hand, is a great figure in both modes. Get the universe 2.0 version if u can.

i think the game model of starscream looked derpy in the game and since they did a good job of making it look like the game model its looks kinda derpy.

The Classics mold is overrated, but it still pisses all over the hollow, half-assed FOC mold.

I broke down and ordered the foc version. Later I'll get the other one. I like both of them the same atm.

I own them both, and like them equally. But the FOC one is probably easier to get.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

My reviews of Transformers G1, one episode at a time. Stop by for a spell!

Classics Starscream for me every time, maybe it's because it's the first Classics figure I bought and therefore reignited my collecting spirit, but I really do love the mould, so much so that I bought his two brothers, breaking my no repeat moulds rule of collecting.
