I just saw this. I think this is a great idea. FOC Magnus needs to be bigger. It will also be nice to have his shoulder missiles on there too. I don't buy much third party stuff, but this might warrant a purchase.

Agreed. I actually don't buy any third party stuff, but as long as this isn't too expensive I think I'll make an exception here! I'm really excited to see some actual photos of this armor set.

Color me skeptical. If the teaser image wasn't made of lifted artwork, and if I was sure exactly who it was who's supposed to be making this, I'd be more convinced that it'll happen at all. Having said that, I'd love to have something like this; I've missed out on all of the previous armor upgrades for the other versions of Ultra Magnus.

I have Magnus in my hands right now. He's actually pretty awesome, though his blue is very cobalt-blue. As cool as he is though, I'd get an upgrade. If they could incorporate the parts into a trailer, that would be perfect.

Has anyone heard any news on this? I hope this actually is made, because Magnus is ok, but needs to be a lot bigger, I'd say voyager size to fit in with all the other WFC/FOC figures.

i may have missed on city commander but i am not missing this one. FOC magnus need to be beefier

Im at the point where Its getting depressing looking at all the awesome third party stuff and not being able to talk myself into spending loads of cash on them.
This time though aia wont have to dump 300 dollars on a base figure!
I had thought that it would be great to have an add on armor for magnus as soon as I saw his size, but dismissed the idea thinking that city commander was done so perfect that noone else would make another.
I hope so badly that this is done!! Maybe if it sells well (and it will) they will bring out an upgrade armor for the new prime as well.

Can't wait to see more! This is been a busy day!

This is a necro thread unfortunately. There's been no updates on this in quite sometime but I am really hoping that they follow through with this set. It would be awesome.

Reminds me that I need to release my FoC Ultra Magnus from his plastic prison at some point and make a "buddy cop" movie with him and Optimus.

Oh no!! A necro thread? necro, meaning necrotic, meaning old?.... It seems any time I get my hopes up that I will finally get something from this line that I love without spending massive amounts of cash and time, I am disappointed.
Not a good way to run a line. I believe that if things dont soon change I will be forced to abandon this hobby as all the good feelings that It brought have been replaced with thoughts of "maybe next time" "thats unfortunate" "why?" or my least favorite "how much?!" sigh... Looks like I will have to shell out 300 for city commander after all...yay...

Megs, I'm not sure why you keep going back to this $300 price point. Others have shown you that the City Commander set with the add-on pieces isn't marked up like the original run of it is. Assuming you're in the US, follow this link, look at the bottom right of the page where the vendor is helpful in suggesting buying this + the Asian exclusive UM = $219.94.

Again, with the assumption you're in the US, shipping will be free if you choose this option. The completed Ultra Magnus will be roughly Ultra Class size and it's a damn good placement in someone's Classics collection. Just don't keep him posed with the BFG lifted it, it'll kill UM's arm joint.

Back on topic, no news yet regarding the FoC upgrade but considering the impish deluxe size of the OP/UM figure, I don't see this figure getting larger than Voyager. Still interested, but just because they haven't given an estimated release date doesn't mean the project has been abandoned.

They haven't even shown us a picture of the actual product, just a rough composition of the game art over the toy.

After all, actoys is NOT a third-party entity, but a site for third-party news. Of course, I could be wrong.

I'm sold, just please, let's have the armor turn into a trailer that makes the vehicle mode look more like the concept art for the game!

Oh Wow! I didnt see the option to buy both down there. So Ill get the whole thing for just over 200? Thats actually very reasonable for me.

I cant for the life of me understand why people will try to sell this set on ebay for 300 plus loose when you can get it new for 200.
Ebay was where I got that price. I have had to do Most my shopping fom ebay.

Megs, where do you usually shop? Giant has never been over $400 has it? Are you getting confused with Hercules?

Anyway, yeah, I shop at TFSource a lot, they're pretty decent on selection and pricing and have great customer service.

LOL Until a few weeks ago I shopped almost exclusively at ebay. I know herc is comprised of voyager figures and that he goes for about 600. Thats why I was shocked to see make toys devestator for about the same on ebay.
Any time I go to the main places that seibertron supports they are sold out for loooong periods of time and if you arent fast youll miss their restocks.
I also need the insecticons by fans project. The best price I say on ebay was 350 not including shipping. I havnt found an online store with them in stock either but dont mind waiting for their restock.

TFsource is the way to go they even do free shipping after $150. And this Magnus armour looks like it might have folded no updates or nothing.
