I am feeling the same thing. It's like - buy it now while you have the chance or forever bite your tongue when the price skyrockets up to $1000.

Just to add my two pennies. I grabbed Brave Max about 5 years ago for £300 off ebay. While it was nice to have him in my collection i could never find a way to make him look right so i have since sold him. Id say it all depends on the type of collection you have, and he didnt fit into my warzone display

The pieces themselves are £80-£100 anyway so did i get a good deal or not it was £525. I do like him and very impressed with the overal design. Yes he is blocky and no moving legs etc, the parts that don't work for me are the headmaster spike head for Cerebros. I'm sorry to all the fans it looks stupid they should have had the Cerebros head from the cartoon/comic version it looks tacky.

It is slightly discolored in some parts but the box/styrene are present ut it does feel like too much money maybe. With the reissue coming would I have been better off getting him instead it made me think.

That was one of my favorite figures that I had as a kid. I loved those massive claws of his .

As for FortMax, I say if you're interested in him, buy him. He's a massive pile of plastic the likes of which we're unlikely to see ever again. I'm passing on him, but only because I'm simply not that interested in owning him at the moment (I'd rather have a FoC Metroplex ), but I am still pondering acquiring a Brave Maximus but money is a bit tight with me for once now that I have so much Has/Tak stuff on preorder as well as all the 3rd party stuff I'm getting. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll reissue Brave Max as well, and at a lower price point than Fortress (since fewer accessories etc. would be included most likely).

I'm passing. Might regret it later, but right now I just don't need a 3 foot long brick in my collection. I kinda really want him because he's so ginormous, but I have the wee Kabaya version and he fits a lot better with the rest of my collection.

I have a MIB unused Brave Maximus, which is still all tie-wrapped in the box, in 'deep storage'. This means that although I own the mold, I still have never actually held or Transformed a full-size Maximus mold. When I receive Encore FM, he however will most definitely be taken out of the box.
I already own Fortress Maximus Jr., so it'll be fun to have Encore Fortress Maximus 'play with himself'.

This may be a stupid question but I don't know much about Transformers and I was wondering if the Encore: #23 Fortress Maximus is exactly the same as the one issued back in 1987.

I was planning to get one for my husband because it was his favorite toy when he was a kid and his mom sold it. He talks about it all the time and I came across a page saying they are reissuing it and decided to ask for some advice.
