I couldn't wait to see FP Insecticons repainted into the Deluxe team. In fact....i'm brimming over with excitement to get these in my hands. But I can't seem to find any more info on them other than some photos.

Patience my young Sharkticon. This month we're supposed to be getting Not-Broadside if I recall correctly. I think they're also trying to get a few more Steelcore in the mix. That paired with the debut of a couple Not-Stunticons supposing to pop up before the end of the year and we've got a lot that'll be filling our plates in a short amount of time. Tbh, I'd be willing to bet we'll see the new Not-Insecticons early next year, but that's just a guess. They still have to design a new mold for Not-Venom to complete the quartet anyway.

Thank you NOS. As for a new non-Venom mold?! That also has me very excited. He one of my top five favorite figures that i had when i was a wee lad.

Looking forward to seeing what FP does with him.

I heard it's still in the 'maybe' stages along with a rumor it might be a fembot... That's what I remember reading during the TFcon along with the possibility of it being something of an exclusive to FansProject site. Still, all this is purely hear-say at the moment so I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock into it until we hear more which may be a while.

I still say the easy repaints should have been put out as a boxset for Christmas. chop $20 off the combined price of the individual black and purple ones and loads of people who might have been on the fence would have probably lapped them up. If they are doing a new mould for Venom, folks would probably still have bought that.

Perhaps, but even so FP is still offering more bang for your buck. If these boys were made by someone like igear or TFC we'd be paying $100 a piece, repaint or not.

I do believe a hold up on these is unecessary though. Those molds from the get go were designed to be repainted into the Deluxe team. From the photos i've seen they just switched heads up along with the new(and better) paint scheme. In my opinion they could be pumpin em out now.

I could be wrong but i think the extent of the remolding of the three appears to be just the new heads and paint.

I don't really want to wait for a Venom mold to be released with these to get them. A giftset is a grand idea mind you.

FP did a great job designing these guys that when we were seeing prototype pics of them in all grey, they could have easily passed for either set of Insecticons. Especially with the variations that are capable in their weapons and kibble, and the radically different paint schemes. A little variation in robot mode transformation and weapon placement, and new heads make them seem like brand new toys.
