Frank Welker has answered more questions about the upcoming Transformers Movie on his website. Most of the questions are about the character Megatron. Welker revealed some interesting information. The first of which is he has not been offered any roles but voice casting for the movie is not done yet. The second is that he is still in the running to play Megatron in the Transformers Movie. Here are the questions with Welker's answers:

"Regarding Transformers the Movie 2 (2007), everyone says you're in it, even IMDb Pro: Transformers: Main Details ยป Frank Welker ... Megatron (voice). I'm so confused, are you or aren't you in it? I've also attached a few fan letters for you to answer when you have some free time. You're the best! Thanks!

Hey Dor ... As you can see by my responses [below], everything you've read at this point has been rumor and misinformation. As of this moment, to my knowledge, they have not cast Megatron and I am still very much in the running.

Hello, Mr. Welker!

You have done a great job voicing Megatron in the G1 Transformers series. I know that Peter Cullen is going to voice Optimus Prime in the new live-action movie. Are you going to participate in it? [snip] I would like to contact Peter Cullen. Do you know how?

Sincerely,
Omeed Mirhakkak

Dear Omeed,

Thanks, I really enjoyed doing that voice and playing a villain for a change. I know I have been asked a lot about the movie, but at the present time I have not been offered any roles. That doesn't mean it's final, they are still doing voice casting. Peter Cullen is a hard man to track down, you might try some of the "Transformer" sites and see if you can get a message to him.

Frank"

I haven't seen the script, but from what I'm hearing Megs doesn't have a lot to say... If I'm wrong, I recant this statement.

Well, if anyone could do alien-gibberish, it's Frank Welker. He voiced Abu the Monkey and Ace the Bat-hound after all.

Oh just pay the man and give us what we want!

Bay keeps saying that they came in under budget, so I don't see how it would be a problem!

If they don't choose Welker I have my fingers crossed for Leonard Nimoy.

oh man this is great news... last i heard was the rumor he was officially out of the race... but come on, the movie is out in 132 days. Shouldnt they at least KNOW who is doing the voice over work?

Sounds to me that they might have to use a computer simulated voice sort of like the ships on Star Trek or the ones on Babylon 5. I to would like one of the Guys off of Armada or Beast Wars to voice Megatron but like people says what is the point in even having a voice in this one when he is frozen for most of the movie. I can understand for a sequel or if this movie will have flashbacks or something then Megatron will need a voice. But not Leonard Nimoy he is Galvatron not a Megatron Kaye would be perfect but if it is some hollywood idiot who has no idea what Transformers is or is about I will be pissed. That is the way it is starting to look to me, and finally did Welker play Benders voice in Futurama also new Futurama;s on in 2009 on Comedy thank god for that cause I am sick of the constant Re-Runs. No if only a new Season of Venture Brothers and The Boondocks would come on I would be a happy man. I hate the crap on CN anymore.

you can't cast Cullen without Welker. If you're gonna do it, do it right.

J-Prime - Leonard Nimoy has retired from acting.

Besides he didn't particularly enjoy or like doing the animated movie, I doubt he'd want to do this one, even if he wasn't retired.

I hope Welker doesn't get the part, as the movie is a slap in the face to all Transformers fans, it's not even a G1 movie, so why are the bothering with Cullen and Welker?

Trying to throw the fans a bone and get them to stop boycotting it?

Good luck Bay, Jabba the Murph and Speilberg, you've made you bed, now you're going to have to lie in it...

Not to mention Slimer...now that would be an intriguing voice for Megatron.

I'll wait for confirmation from a bit more reliable source. Also your sig is quite oversized. 40kb and no larger than 300x500. I'll resize it if you're unable to.

That's not official. Anyone besides Bay&Co who says Welker is on board is jumping to conclusions. From how this movie has developed, anything that seems rational for the movie can still be chanced as 50/50 or the most common 25 right choice/75 wrong choice.

Someone's gonna attack me for saying this.*sigh, waits, considers leaving movie forum* (:|
