Astrotrain quickly found himself getting bored. He wasn’t quite as easily amused as the other Decepticons were. Killing a few of the little fleshlings might be fun, but it got old kind of quick. There really wasn’t much challenge in it, or sense of satisfaction. It wasn’t like killing Autobots. You had to work at that at least. Even the weaker ones tended to put up a bit of a fight. He couldn’t even remember the last time he had really fought one.

“Alright guys I think that’s enough. Lets get the slag out of here and don’t forget to blow up this refinery behind us.” The triplechanger sealed his hangar doors and fired up his engines, roaring down the road ahead of him and lifting off into the air. As unexciting as it might have all been at least he did get out of the base. Hopefully it would the start of a new trend.

Falin, Alaska – Near Refinery

Skywarp finished loading up Astrotrain with fuel tanks and was about to take to the sky again when he noticed a fleshling fly past his optics. Landing directly in Thrust’s spinning engine, the carbon-based life form was instantly shredded, splattering disgusting goop all over the teleporter. ‘Warp had managed to get his left arm up to block, but it was not enough to spare him from being slimed.

“Slag it! Thanks a lot guys!” Skywarp yelled at Thrust and Blitzwing as he tried to wipe away the organic matter that now covered a good potion of his left side. “I just disinfected the interior of my cockpit from one of those gross flesh sacks and now my exterior is covered in their sludge! Yuck!”

Before the seeker was able to finish cleaning himself off, Astrotrain spoke up and reminded them to destroy the refinery before heading back to base. That suited Skywarp just fine. Anything was better than being on the ground near Thrust and Blitzwing as they played ‘fling the human into the engine’.

Having gotten most of the crud off himself, ‘Warp transformed and took to the air. He quickly came into attack position and fired several rockets at random points throughout the refinery. Within astroseconds, multiple explosions erupted all over the installation, consuming the entire area in a fiery inferno.

What the frag.... Blitzwing had been sure the human was strapped into his bed. The metal thing should have jammed Thrust'sengines. Ah, well, guess I'll have to find another way to cut this guy down to size. If a joke failed, it would annoy Blitzwing to no end. He just had to have a way to get back at them. It would nag at him, like a bad itch, just waiting to be scratched.

Blitzwing was all ready to leave, but he realized there was one last thing to do. Grabbing a barrel that Skywarp had missed, he poured it around the town's perimeter. Then, he took a pice of a burning building and stuck it in the oil. It burst into flames, effectively creating a wall of fire surrounding the town. Better safe than sorry. Doing that, he transformed to jet mode, and went to rejoin the others.

Thrust had a good luagh to himself at Skywarp's reaction to being sprayed with biped goo! He thought it was hilarious, even more so that Blitzwing's attempt to jam his engines failed.

Thrust thought to himself: 'Hmmppff...human alloys jamming MY engines? Inconceivable! This probably annoys Blitzwing to no end...ah well, I'll just have to be double cautious in dealing with him as of late. He'll try to get even...there is no doubt in that.'

Thrust reveled for a second in this. Every other 'con thinks Thrust some speed obsessed nit-wit. They do not quite understand that under all his boasting about being the fastest there is actually quite an intellectual processor at work. They will ALL learn that lesson eventually. Someday. For now, he is quite happy as Starscream's lackey...

As Thrust was lost in thought he heard Bltizwing setting the town ablaze. Thrust realized he was the last one lef tin the town! No bother to him though. He transformed and took off, catching the rest of the Decepticons without even breaking a sweat. He took point in front of Astrotrain and signaled to him.

"Careful big fella! You got a load of volatile energon in you! I'll take point and keep scanning for enemy bogeys. We don't want you doing any fancy flying with that cargo! I also don't see the others realizing this...and they'll treat the whol;e situation as a joke."

Thrust meant the comment as a warning. He understood the situation heavilly. He also meant it as a taunt to Astro train. A nice way of disguising that he is a transport. Nothing more...nothing less. Thrust only wondered if ol' Choo-choo brain would get it.

Leaving Falin

Astrotrain ignored the last bits of chatter and banter from the seekers. They never did seem to shut up. They brought out the worst in him though. He’d been wasting his time bantering back and forth with the fools. He didn’t like getting dragged down to their level and it didn’t help that Blitzwing reveled in the some nonsense too. They weren’t just common soldiers, they were triplechangers. They should act better than the common fly boys.

He took a quick peek at his sensors. Falin was a flaming wreck He doubted any humans could make it out of that alive. At least it had been some fun getting out of the base and helping to cause some destruction. It wasn’t great, not since he had been busy loading up on fuel, but it was better than nothing. Maybe next time there would be some actual Autobots to fight.

The triplechanger radioed ahead to base as the group of Decepticons rocketed away from the devastated town.

OOC: All characters should move back to the base thread and be returning to base in their next posts.
