OK then, I'll be sure to get him if I see him! Is the original just differently coloured or does it have physical differences? (I mention it because he might be a tad cheaper on the secondary market)

Deeper purple, lighter grey (almost white), and no LED/LASER. Everything else should be the same. I really like him. He sits in cannon mode pointed at coronation Starscream.

also, original cannon was white with some orange paint, while vintage is orange with some chrome apps. pic!

Man, I really missed out on this guy. Didn't have the money when the Vintage version came out and I'm really regretting it now. Trying to find one in the UK for a decent price is murder.

I dunno about this Cyclonus. I kind of like the boss to be a bit taller than his troops. Not my much, but these two look odd together.

As G1 cartoon Cyclonus was shown taller than cartoon Galvatron.

If you don't like this CW Cyclonus being in scale with UT Galvatron. Then why do you keep saying you like your newer update TF toys. To match the scale of the original G1 Cartoon? :???:

Thanks for all of these pics.

Think UT Mania King and CW Cyclonus will make a great display pair. on my shelf and i'm sure other fans shelves.

Think the first release UT Mania Kings darker purple colors. Match CW Cyclonus purple better than the Second Mania king recolored version.

Decepticons are the grey area in the G1 cartoon. In some scenes they are portrayed as being taller than Autobots. In other scenes they are portrayed as being the same height as Autobots. I prefer them being the same height so they can look each other in the eye. I love the way deluxe autobots scale with voyager Prime and FP Protector. So I like my Decepticon troops to scale the same way with Hegemon and Mania King. It's just what I would call "matching visual harmony".

It's a lot worse with the Decepticons. Mostly the seekers. Also Soundwaves cassettes. Sometimes Rumble/Frenzy are portrayed as being human sized. Other times they are portrayed as being "scout" sized and reaching about waist level to the seekers. I prefer the waist level.

The G1 cartoon is a mess scale wise, but the movie got it right. I think that was the only real attempt to use that scale chart in a meaningful, consistent way. And it was followed by Season 3, with some of the worst animation (and scaling) in the entire franchise.

But I don't know about that Cyclonus either. Not because of it's size, but because it looks kinda awful.

Cyclonus height is fine imo(I need longer horns/idw style), but his roid bulk compared to UT Galvy.....not top priority when it comes out.

Are you serious?

The entire G1 cartoon was a scale characters inconsistent mess. Autobots and Decepticons changed sizes in every scene, episode and season.

If your not buying CW Cyclonus to scale next to UT Mania King. Then i'm guessing 2.0 Deluxe Cyclonus is who your posing next to UT Mania King.

In the Movie back in 1986, Cyclonus did tower over Galvatron. See the scene prior to UMs beat up. Mass shifting be d@mned!

I think this Cyclonus' colour scheme would look better with the original Mania King and not the Vintage version.

I'm really put off by this Cyclonus, it barely does anything for me. The height and the alt mode are the positives, except for the way the body still shows on the underside of the alt mode, but that's the same issue with Silverbolt.

It's the bot mode that bugs me. The head sculpt is horrendous, the beefy roid induced body and glaring purple just don't work for me whatsoever. Silverbolt gets away with it for some reason. Maybe it's because his colours are more diverse or maybe it's because I'm comparing this Cyclonus to the previous one and being picky.

I still think RTS Cyclonus is the best version to date, particularly when next to Vintage Mania King. The only problem is that he needs to be a little taller, but his sleeker body design, head sculpt and colour works so well with Vintage Mania King. Also, he works if you're using him as a stand-in for an IDW Cyclonus.
