Interesting, but I don't see how that "seals the deal". We've got conflicting answers coming from cartoons/comics, toy packaging, instructions, and artwork. I don't think an old Diaclone ad is necessarily the ultimate authority.

I think the likelihood of figuring out which is "correct" is about equal to the likelihood of settling the RIRFIB/RIBFIR debate. In other words, there is no "correct" answer.

For what it's worth, nosecone-in-front seems to be the most popular choice. I pulled up all the eBay listings for G1 Blitzwing, and at least 9 out of 10 had the nosecone in the front in their pictures.

why did you mention the two little cassette guys? grrr! One of them is Purple, the other one is Black.

After watching that entertaining Diaclone ad again, I had a thought: in the ad, the tank has to turn around before transforming into jet mode, because the nosecone (the front of the jet) is in the back of the tank. Wouldn't it make a lot more sense to have the front of the jet in the front of the tank so it could take off more quickly on the battlefield?

Whoo, all this time I didn't know I had the turret in the reverse direction as per instruction sheet. My reasons for putting the turret facing the jet cockpit because:
1, Those 2 round stickers resemble the back light of a car.
2, In jet mode, those 2 round stickers are actually rocket thruster. By logic, that would make that section the rear of the tank. If it's the front, that thruster will push the tank to run backward, lol.

Guess, I would have to swing that turret around now, lol.
