I dedicate this to Transtopia! TFmaster gave me the inspiration.
I have allways been sad of how the original toy looked.
THIS is how I want him to be. :D

With some minor touch ups but no other modifications will be made.
Girlfriend will give birth any day now....Had to finish this before I got my hands full...
I hope you all enjoy my work. I really put my heart into this, and it's my first KB so, I'm purty happy aboot it!
My digital camera broke some time ago so I took pictures with the web cam...not the best quality but... Please note that I did'nt draw him a mouth yet!!!
Long lived the Transformers!

Enjoy! :D

Thanks JAF !! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
I don't know if I'm exagerating but I'd say that 90 hours were needed to do this....
I scrapped alot of the parts I had from the prototype I made this summer.
After getting opinions I decided to improve him.
I would never have thaught that painting was so hard and long...so many apps.
I'm happy with the results but happier when others tell me i'm right to be.

Most definitely! And 90 hours sounds about right form my experience.

What did you use forthe thighs?

Every time I look at it I see more cool details, Bravo! This is certainly the coolest Devastator I've seen since Devastator's Devastator. Do the individual bots have articulation like DEV's version?

I can't wait for a gallery and clearer pics!

I use Energon Shockblast and a Mega Blocks Black Spider-Man for leg support and legos and styrene for details.
The individual cons don't have more articulation! I leave that to Devastator's Devastator!
Details for upper legs are from Ultra-Magnus's arms since I scrapped it to get the hands.

I honestly can't think of much to improve on this guy. Would love to see some pics of the new parts you built seperate from him so I can get an idea of how ou built them though.

Thanks!

I'll get my friend's camera to get clear pictures of the separate parts and also take new pics of Devastator so that I can get this in the KB Gallery.

Looks great!! I remember making a comment in your work in progress thread that it looked a bit lanky. Not sure what you did to fix it but it doesn't look so anymore. :D

Thanks!

You quoted: Very nice work. I noticed the legs being lanky and skinny compared to the rest of the body but not too out of place though.

Follow this link: http://www.tfmaster.com/forum/viewtopic ... 0073#30073

Lower body was torn appart and I started from scratch...again!!! But thanks 'cause you made me improve my project!! And I look at the old pics and...He was not very good
Part of the upper body was torn appart also.... Except for the head and arms, I change almost everything. Broke my heart but was worth it!

Man, that is beautiful! Despite being a super-poseable Devastator, it's actually very different from the one I did. The detailing is very well done and I love the toon-accurate head! The visor-eyed cartoon Devastator head was always my favorite version of Devastator's head. The paint apps are very well done and overall this figure has a much cleaner look than my Devastator. Bravo!

Like you, TFmaster's Devastator was my inspiration and I think you've done him proud!

Thanks!! :D :D :D

I'll continue to add details. I did'nt apply any stickers that I got from reprolabels. I'll then have to apply a clearcote..again.
Thanks for the good words! Your work was marvelous! I was thinking of articulating the individual constructicons but then got a headache!
I never got to see TFmaster's Devastator... Eventually, I'll post very good pictures to put in the gallery section. I finally decided to drop the toon accurate toy and tried to mix some ideas and styles to make one great.

Damn, that looks awesome! I only wish I could put together something like that. I mean, even the details on the front upper legs is great! And the whole thing blends almost seemlessly. Obviously, you can see where the characters are. But still--this is the kind of thing Devastator should have been.

Absolutely love it. And I want one. :)

I love the new details and paintapps! looks way better.

Wow... pretty. Like Billy, seeing this makes me want to improve on my own Dev. A couple of my connector bits have broken slightly anyway, so it certainly wouldn't hurt to make some improvements along the way...

Very nice. I like they way he turned out, specially in the theighs.

The one everyone keeps mentioning is from my old freeservers site that shut down and evolved into this one.

Alot of my oldest works can still be seen at http://www.unicron.com in their alterations page...sadly..no Dev though.

Keep up the great work man. I'd be proud to won it as well.

Here's to looking forward to more from ya!

if in some way there could be made an icon for a mouth drop id use about 10 of em right now. That looks amazing. I remember your other thread, but unfortunately none of the pics are up anymore. What all did you use for the lower arms? I mean other than OmegaPrime's hands from RiD.
