G1 Toy Prices? I'm I really that far out of the loop?

I recently became re-addicted to buying G1 figures but I'm amazed at how significantly the prices of some figures have increased. Some of these buy it now prices are insane! 140-185 for a Bruticus? From what I recall, combiners generally sold for around 100 bucks (Excluding Predaking of course).

To be honest, with everyone losing jobs, I thought TF prices would be down substantially, giving myself the opportunity to buy some of the figures I never obtained in my heyday. Guess I was wrong....

That Complete G1 Wheeljack still eludes me!

you just gotta check everyday for things you want, and wait till you find an awesome deal. i just got a complete wheeljack with nice paint for 75 bucks. and i also got a takara transformers collection reissue skids misb for $20.50. awesome deals pop up every once in a while but they'll dissapere 5 times as fast as they came so you've gotta be there at the right time...

Yeah, seriously--just be patient with e-bay. Every so often you'll come across an insanely good buy (like the complete G1 Snapdragon that I somehow won for $35). So hang in there! And actually, I HAVE noticed a lot of the G1 prices going down lately, so you may get lucky yet.

Some figures are just always going to be expensive, I'm afraid. You may have to save up...

If you want to get cheaper prices, skip e-bay, a lot of TF fan sites have places like Carbombya, where the secondary market prices didnt sky rocketed, or the sellers are keeping the prices under the bays level. Of course, check the sellers feedback before buying.

Buy-it-nows are never an indicator of what something is worth.
