Metal Gear Rising - RevengeanceOkay, definitely clocking more than 10 hours of gameplay. I suspect the purported 4-6 hours gameplay was after upgrading a lot and doing speed runs. Pleasantly surprised that the game lasted a long as it did.
Still got two more chapters to go.
The boss fights are getting more challenging, but still manageable. You basically have to mess around and figure out what makes each boss tick, and find a way around his defenses.
Literally just beat Sundowner about 20 minutes ago. The game tries to force you to precisely slice through the gaps in his shield, but I was able to chip away his life by running behind him and electrocuting him with the sai. Takes a while, but better than missing the precision cut and having the explosive shield explode in your face.
Nice to see that the codec feature's back, as well as MGS's trademark, "Raiden, what's going on? Raiden?! RAIDEN!!!" yell.
There are also VR missions, which is a really nice distraction from the main game, adding a significant amount of replay value to the game.
All in all, no regrets buying this. It's probably just me, but a lot of MGR's elements reminds me of God of War, especially some of the weapons and a few of Raiden's skills.
