Borderlands 2
Playing online with three other players.
Go to Tundra Express.
Killing Varkids, because who cares.
Vermivorous
Well, thats about all the Borderlands I want today!

Vanquish
Really fun, though somewhat repetitive.
Got past the point were I had to kill two of those 4 story robots that transform into squid-spider death walkers, fought a robotic transforming wolf/cat robot who would make a good beast-former let me say, and am currently on whatever mission is next.

Sly 2
Replaying the series since I never beat the 3rd one.
Currently on episode 5, trying to start an all out war between The Contessa and Neyla, or however its spelt. Gotta say, good gameplay barely ever ages, This game, like all the Jak games, are in muscle memory, its odd.

Yes and no. You never really need to switch up weapons in mid-battle, but those perks at the bottom of each weapon skilltree are something you should definitely invest points in, depending on your role.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Dragonborn:
BEATEN! As far as an Elder Scrolls game can be beaten, anyway. I've still got a bunch of sidequests to do, a couple more Black Books to read and exactly one more Word Wall to find, though I know where it is and how to get it. I'm not buying Hearthfire when it releases today, instead I'm going to buy it with Dawnguard when that finally releases on PSN next week.

Alpha Protocol:
BEATEN! Well, sort of. I feel like I missed a few things (I only slept with three women!) so I'm starting a new game. Playing as Recruit this time, because why not?

Wait, its coming to PS3? ****! One of the reasons I let Skyrim go was the fact that Dawnguard was never coming out! Factor that in next to the horrible lag. Was the data recycling system ever patched? I feel like I could have made a huge mistake...

Anyone played Metal Gear Rising yet? I hear it's ridiculously short, clocking in at only 4-6 hours of total gameplay, not counting game over replays and cutscenes.

I'm giving myself until this weekend to decide whether or not to buy it. The gameplay is apparently top notch, but such a short campaign kind of makes it feel like I'm getting cheated here.

Keep in mind its a Metal Gear game. The cutscenes and dialogue should exponentially increase that. It might be like MGS4, only a few hours of gameplay, but a box-office movie of cutscenes. Ide assume so anyway.

Yeah, all Metal Gear games can be beaten in a single sitting. Beating it in three hours on the highest difficulty traditionally gives you the Big Boss title.

True. Now that I think on it, almost half of MGS4's total playtime was made up of codec conversations and cutscenes.

Maybe I will buy the game after all.

Can I put in my two cents, maybe you might want to buy it on sale?
Unless, you want it right now, you might consider the game more worth the money at a cheaper price. Let's say the short gameplay might be more justified with a $30 buck price tag (or even a rental) than a $60 one.

That's actually a good idea, but the problem is that games sell out very quickly (2 weeks to a month more or less) and don't seem to get restocked. I don't know why; it's just the way it is in my neck of the woods.

I can pretty much forget about a sale, since they never remain on shelves long enough for that. Except for the really bad ones, but MGR is certainly not a bad game.

Yeah, buying it while it's still new is probably my only option.

Buyer's remorse isn't really going to be an issue since the game's scored massive points in both critic and user reviews. There's just this massive emphasis on its 6 hour game time, which was explained as strictly game time without including cutscenes and game-over replays.

I'm hoping this turns out to be something like FoC. Despite the measly 12 hour playthrough, I probably clocked more hours on this game in repeat offline playthroughs (I've never played online mode or escalation FYI) than much longer games like Valkyria Chronicles or Deus Ex - HR. Believe it or not, I'm STILL playing through campaign mode--controlling giant alien robots in a metal battlefield just doesn't get old.

I've heard that MGR has some pretty addictive game mechanics and even on Normal mode, it's no pushover. I might just be clocking in a whole lot more than just 6 hours on this game.

Okay, I just had a chance to sneak in an hour or two of MGR. VERY addictive gameplay. Cutting sh!t up just doesn't get old. The whole parrying system takes a little getting used to, but it's not annoyingly difficult if you're not playing in harder difficulties.

One thing, though. Raiden's face keeps reminding me of Micheal Jackson some strange reason, especially in his suit during the opening cutscene. For better or worse, the cutscenes aren't nearly as long as your typical MGS game. Then again, this isn't exactly MGS but more of an action-based offshoot, so that's a good thing since an over-long cutscene would just get in the way of the action.

This might just be my next WFC; short campaign, but tons of replay value.

Dragon Age II
So after defeating the high dragon, ran distraction so Anders could do something undisclosed in the Chantry. tracked down 3 rogue mages. 2 had succumbed to blood magic but the 3rd was harmless and willingly returned to the circle of magi.
Side-mission wise- helped Varric clear out his brother's old mansion. Turns out it was haunted due to a piece of a cursed idol we'd previously removed. Helped Merryl finish her side-story in her attempt to restore an artifact. Saved her from herself in the end but it cost her a very high price and she will probably be killed on sight if her clan ever sees her again. Win some, lose some.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2
Completed the fight lab sequence. Got the basics down but need a lot of practice for real usage.
Completed ARcade mode with Roger Jr and Marshal Law. Roger Jr.s ending is totally worth it.

New Super Mario Bros U
Cleared the Frosted Glaciers level and sent Wendy Koopa packing. Also found the secret entrance to another snow level. Cleared the Soda Fountain airship.

Metal Gear Rising - Revengeance

Okay, definitely clocking more than 10 hours of gameplay. I suspect the purported 4-6 hours gameplay was after upgrading a lot and doing speed runs. Pleasantly surprised that the game lasted a long as it did.

Still got two more chapters to go.

The boss fights are getting more challenging, but still manageable. You basically have to mess around and figure out what makes each boss tick, and find a way around his defenses.

Literally just beat Sundowner about 20 minutes ago. The game tries to force you to precisely slice through the gaps in his shield, but I was able to chip away his life by running behind him and electrocuting him with the sai. Takes a while, but better than missing the precision cut and having the explosive shield explode in your face.

Nice to see that the codec feature's back, as well as MGS's trademark, "Raiden, what's going on? Raiden?! RAIDEN!!!" yell.

There are also VR missions, which is a really nice distraction from the main game, adding a significant amount of replay value to the game.

All in all, no regrets buying this. It's probably just me, but a lot of MGR's elements reminds me of God of War, especially some of the weapons and a few of Raiden's skills.

Game over!
REached endgame after my last post. Summary of events.
- Companion blew up the chantry, causing the mages to be blamed.
- When templars reacted to above action by killing the mages (who had nothing to do with the actual attack), I sided with the mages.
- My anti-mage companion joined the opposite team. The companion who committed the act rejoined my team since I chose to keep him alive.
- Fought my way out of the Gallows, but the lead mage I was protecting sacrificed himself to a demon to fight the templars. I ended up having to destroy him.
- The former companion and I had to fight and I killed him. (2 companions permanently gone)
- Reached the Templar leader, who had gone mad through a powerful artifact. Fought her and her army of lyrium empowered statues. She finally burnt herself out.
- The templars (who had just turned on their leader) allowed me and my crew to leave peacefully.
- Epilogue states we all left but separated one-by-one. Varric returned to tell the story, my character and her love interest are still out there somewhere.

Overall, I enjoyed this game more than I expected once I got over the differences from the superior first game. Hoping DAIII returns to the more RPG focused style, but won't complain either way.

Weapon: Null-Ray Rifle
Metal Gear Rising - Revengeance

Played through twice, total playtime is 20+ hours.

- Collected all ID chips.

- Found all MIB's.

- Unlocked Armor Breaker.

- Unlocked wooden longsword and HF machete.

- Unlocked Wig A and Wig B.

- Completely leveled up skills, life and BP gauges.

Overall, a very addictive game, and much more than your regular hack-n-slash. The Zandatsu system adds a certain depth to the gameplay that DW games and even Tenchu doesn't quite equal. The story, while convoluted, doesn't distract you from what's important: hacking limbs and grabbing "nano-repair clusters" from the enemies' guts.

I'd say it's just the right length for a game of its genre, and VR missions is a welcome feature, adding tons of replay value, not to mention unlockables, trophies, harder difficulties and numerous Easter eggs.

I've played Assassins Creed, AC2 and AC Brotherhood. I also have the comic that deals with the Russian guy too. And now thanks to my sister, she convinced a friend of hers to borrow Assassins Creed Revelations. I've only done a few missions so far. But I'm going to play the crap out of this game. And my sister also is borrowing AC3. She'll let me play that after she's done and I would have played every AC game out except the Nintendo DS game and the one for Playstation Vita.

Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness: Episode 3:
BEATEN! Including Bonus Bosses Yog Modaigh and Molly the Were-Zom-Pire. Not to spoil anything, but if you read the written version on the site a couple years ago, the game ends the exact same way. In fact, the two stories aren't that different, at least at the most basic form.

Still working on the Seamstress's Lair and the Beginning of the End though. And waiting on Episode 4, obviously.

Seriously, if you havnt already gotten this game, you should ASAP. Every level is WIN, every boss is amazing, and the last boss? YOU wont believe it, you will NOT see it coming. This game was, and will be again and again, awesome, forever.

I beat it. All I did were the main missions so I beat it fairly fast.

Assassins Creed 3

This game is amazing compared to the other AC games, especially with the fighting. And it turns out Daniel Cross from the comics is in the game also. That blew my mind. I just beat sequence 7 before I got on here. I would've kept playing but the game keeps freezing during the loadng screen and it f***s my playstation up. I need to find another copy so I could keep playing. I wanna finish the game so bad so I can play 4 when it comes out.

Beat the Captain Scarlet DLC.
Strictly story missions and message in a bottle missions though, nothing else. I'm lvl 49, and half an exp meter to the cap. I hope they pump out the level cap and new DLC at the end of this march...

VR Missions is ridiculously addictive. Sure, some of the harder ones make you want to throw kittens into a wood chipper, but making rank is especially satisfying when you finally do.

BTW, did you play the game in Normal or Hard? I struggled a bit in Normal during the Monsoon fight and final boss fight, but toughed it out and got a trophy/title for it (Samurai, I think).

I might go for Hard mode later, but not until I've upgraded my blades and perfected my blade mode and parrying skills.

I must be crazy...

Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge (Game Boy)

Replaying it, but attempting to Perfect Run every single stage, No-Damage Buster-Only (don't ask why). Anyway, succeeded for the first 4 bosses, namely Ice Man, Fire Man, Elec Man and Cut Man in that order (though Cut Man still needs to be recorded...). Wily Castle is a pain, but doable, except for one thing: Quick Man from Mega Man 2, you may know him. He does have a pattern in his movements, can be lead, but his boomerangs always screw me up! I can't determine when he throws them! :BANG_HEAD: Any tips would be appreciated.
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

- PotP Punch head
- TR Galvatron right arm (the gun one)
- CW Brake-Neck/UW Wildrider, CW Offroad
- TR Twinferno & Grotusque
- Greenlight, Lancer and PotP Elita-1 (plus repro Victorion hands and feet?)
