We previously reported earlier that CVG had posted an unfavorable preview of the upcoming Transformers Movie video game. Well a new preview was posted by Gamespot.com. This preview is much more favorable then the previous preview. You can check it out by clicking here.

"The team did hint that the desert location that has been seen in the online trailers would be present and the other locations would be "treats" for Transformer fans in general."

I'm thinking Sherman Dam. What's not to love about a giant robot battle in the middle of a collapsing hydroelectric power station?

This is a preview; a first look. Might want to change the title as a review implies that the game is out, and/or they reviewed an actual game.

see its first looks and opinions like this that matter to me. These guys aren't evaluating what they got as though it was a final product, unlike the other group (which should be dismantled and have its employees fired). they took the time to point out the current problems, but at the same time have high hopes that with the promised tweaking and finishing of the game that this could be very good.

I'm looking forward to this more and more now. Also good to hear cullen do some more voice acting! I'll be psyched to hear him as my childhood hero on the big screen both at the theatre and at home.

I actually like the direction this game is going. As long as there are enough G1 references in there, I'm cool. As for lifting up & being able to thrown stuff, even better. But the thing about alerting the governemnt leaves out all the fun of being able to just go around & crush stuff, the same thing I hated about Destroy All Humans. However, I am quite pleased that Cullen is doing the voice of Prime for the game as well. I'm still just hoping that there are unlockable G1 Skins for Characters like Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream, & Scorponok. Those would be major awesomeness. But I thought there were also two versions for the DS. At least that's what I heard a few months back..........whatever, can't wait.

Lots of places are reviewing a game that isn't even finished yet?

Thats odd to me, then again, I'm not much of a gamer.

Still, I can't help but wonder if Activision payed for this review.

"...but the designers say that the ultimate threat is the sector-seven police. These secret transformers can be seen in the trailers, and they will have a formidable in-game presence."

I wanna see a level where I'm driving around, and off in the distance I see a certain dormant volcano with what appears to be a spaceship that had crashed into it 4 million years ago.

Gamespot are usually alright with previews. THey weren't far wrong with GTA:SA. I'm slightly worried about this 'height limit' on the flying bots. How high is the limit? As long as they can clear the roof of skyscrapers I'm happy. I said from the start that Peter Cullen would be in this game if he was in the movie. That's been the trend for a while now. Get the main hero and villain to provide voices. If the get Welker to do Megs, I would expect to see him in this game as well.

Hairball, that would be a perfect background for the desert scene. I can't wait for this. So pleased it's out for the PS2!

They only watched a video, didnt get to play a thing, should it be called a review, or first impressions.

Everything they called innovative about this game has already been done in the Armada based PS2 game.

Anyone else far from surprised that the drones in the game have been made into toys by Hasbro?
