SkyWarpsGhost wrote:Thundercracker on the other hand has a left floppy wing. The paint stripes on the topside of the wing are fine, but the stripes on the underside are really sloppy in places. Drips of the purple paint on the bracket of one wing.
You know youve reached a certain age when you start getting floppy bits, you start to flake and cant control the drips!

Technically not a classics figure but acquired Real Gear Booster x10 from eBay, looks great with my Device Lable Soundwave, can't believe I didn't pick this guy up when first released.

Finally opened up my FOC G2 Bruticus and got a chance to mess around with it. The quality and paint apps definitely aren't comparable to the older generations guys but they are not terrible. Seems like they had a good idea and then started rounding corners when it came to production (like exposed hands on Swindle and Onslaught's goofy alt mode) but at $70 or whatever the G2 one was I dont regret it.
All the figures were fun to transform (although I thought I was going to break a couple because of the thin plastic) and Bruticus isnt all that goofy once you mess around with him a little. I took a silver sharpie to Swindle's wheel to dress him up a bit and may mess around with them somewhere to break up the drabness.
Has anyone gotten any of the Takara versions in hand? Id be curious to see how much better the paint apps are.
Cant imagine dropping nearly $40 on one of these figures. Makes 3rd party stuff seem like a good deal.

got FOC ultra magnus and Air Raid from Toys R us at buy one get the other at 50% off and also pre ordered takaras ratbat. was a bit reluctant to get both these guys since i was looking for kickback and starscream. but i have to say both have grown on me since playing with them a bit.
gotta say air raids head would make for a great IDW-esque custom chromedome.

Well I've held off buying a Hasbro Inferno for quite some time now and it paid off. I oh so wanted the brighter red with chrome Takara version but could never find one for under $100 US. Those days are over, finally scored one.
