Generations Sky Warp

Well dont I feel the fool. I ordered the asian exclusive skywarp thinking as always that the USA was getting thunder cracker and asia would get Sky warp and thats that. I mean thats how it ALWAYS goes yeah?
So I paid over 60.00 and have been waiting over a month for that figure and now Im seeing that he is released in USA and that I have a good shot at getting him at a local store before he is delivered via mail.
Furthermore this is the very first time I have ever favored an american color scheme over an asian one. Id even go so far as to say that the asian skywarp looks terrible. Bland and unfinished.
Good news is that I have only a few days before he is considered late and I can just request my money back. I hope that is what happens. Id hate to pay so much for a figure I can buy at walmart for 1/5 the price that sports a superior paint job to boot.
Wondering though, wasnt it stated that skywarp was an asian exclusive? I could have sworn it was said. I know I posted twice asking about it and was told he was asian exclusive but I cant remember if it was an official statement or just speculation.
Also, what is the deal with money returns on ebay? If he isnt here by the last day given in the description then I can ask for money back yes? Is it a guarentee that ebay will ask that seller to refund or do other things play a factor to possibly give the seller more time?
Any help answering my questions is greatly aprieciated.
Thanks!

Any delivery date you were given was most likely an estimated delivery date, not a guaranteed delivery date. I doubt you'll be able to get your money back simply for it arriving a day or two after the estimated delivery date. If the seller paid for overnight or 2-day shipping and it arrives late, the seller may be able to get a refund on the shipping cost from the delivery company, so at best maybe they'd refund you the difference between the expedited shipping cost and the standard shipping cost, but even that's unlikely. Sorry. You win some, you lose some.

I imported a case of 8 of the "Asia exclusive" Generations Deluxe figures (Swerve, Wheelie, Springer, Cliffjumper) from Japan right before they announced that TRU was going to carry them in the U.S. :HEADHURTS:

siiiiiigh....... :( Worst part is I hate the asian paint job so Ill be picking up the american one no matter what. I neeeeeeever prefer an american paint app to asian ones. (Honestly Im racking my brain and I always prefer henkei or asian paint apps far more than usa.) Whats the odds?
So was the asian exclusive the paint apps and not the actual figure then Im guessing?
All well. Thats a loss then.
I doubt seriously that I will be able to resell this damn thing for anywhere near what I paid now that skywarp is state side.
In any event I will have my third seeker to place with screamer and cracker finally rounding out the trio so I guess Ill get over it.
I love the new seeker molds. Only wish theyed mounter the null rays a bit higher on the shoulder rather than the forearms. It grows on ya though.

You could always sell the Asian exclusive. You might take a loss on it, but you won't have it sitting in a box somewhere either.

WOW! I hate to hear your story. I got mine from BBTS. Pretty happy but was never gonna use him as Skywarp rather a generic seeker.

This figure is now almost two weeks late. add to that the month of wait time I was told to expect and its been a long while.
I have sent an E mail to ebay requesting my money back. Does anyone know what is likely to come of this situation? I have never had a product not arrive from ebay. Are they likely to refund my money in the event that the seller simply keeps my cash and has no intentions of sending my figure or am I pretty much doomed to chalk it up to lessions learned?
I dont recal requesting any extra insurance. I just bought it outright, but I know there were no warnings that he would not refund money or insure packages either.

Unless the seller can produce a tracking number, chances are great that you can get a refund.

If it's coming from Asia, it could be held up at US Customs. Have you tried contacting the SELLER, as opposed to sending a complaint to eBay? I don't think eBay will help you until you've first tried solving the issue directly yourself. They have a protocol to follow for resolving disputes.

I'm sorry hear about your troubles but, man, you got ripped off. I too bought Asian skywarp several months back but on Amazon for the price of msrp plus shipping which came out around $20. But check the sellers description, they might have a return policy.
