I looked all over the box. No indication or markings on what figure is inside.

I just bought Michael Golden's GI Joe Yearbook Artist Edition Portfolio from IDW. For the uninitiated, IDW has a line of books called Artist Edition, which reproduces comic artists original art for a specific artist's, generally collecting six stories. For example, there was a John Romita Spider-Man Artist Edition.

The portfolio line isn't a book but collects a original art from a single story in a hardbound folder.

It's fantastic looking!

According to Scott Dunbier at WonderCon, the person that bought the entire original pages had them restored. The wordballoons were originally pasted onto the pages but were removed and placed on an acetate overlay so you can see it lettered and unlettered. For the portfolio, one side is lettered and the other side of the page is not. It's pretty neat!

I picked up...

GI Joe: Retaliation's Joe Colton figure.

These dollar store figures based on my favorite Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow toys as a kid.

You just picked up Joe Colton? Did you put him down when you were done?

I had to put the figure down eventually. Can't hold it forever. :)

I'd nestle it to my bosom forever; is it just me?

Picked up GI Joe Field Manual Volume 2.

There's not a lot of material from the animated movie but I was surprised to see character models from the commercials and the DIC series.

Caved and bought a box of the GI Joe 1991 trading cards.

I was told that 9 out of 10 boxes have a complete card set. One of these days, I’ll open this sucker…

Not surprising, I see later wave POC figs in Rite Aid all the time.

Last week I got Ultimate CC and Roadblock. This week I'm expecting SE, Firefly, and Kwin.

No I don't, I can't hate you, you know that. It's the man, I hate the man, I hate the game.
I also got a Night Viper for $5 from a friend who found it at 5 below.

I went to a 5 Below looking for some vipers and all they really had was the 'cyber ninja'.

So now I have a 'cyber ninja', and a deep, deep feeling of relief that I didn't spend ten bucks on it.

Stupid zipline junk. This is a figure that, had they accessorized him better than some suction cups, probably would have been a fairly neat viper. Hell, or even THE Retaliation Viper, so that it'd have been the Cobra generic.

I know it's been a long time since this thread got any use, but a TRU near my job, for some reason, had a handful of Pursuit of Cobra figures, on May 8th, 2015. I bought a Jungle B.A.T, General Hawk and a Cobra Commander.
And, some months ago, I got the Snow Job/Artic B.A.T two pack.

You traveled forward in time? What's wave 4 of Combiner Wars? In all seriousness in a month or so we'll know what the future of Joe will be. According to the newsletter it WILL NOT be 6" figures and probably will continue the 50th anniversary line.

Honestly Chuck, any news at this point is welcome. even if they say everything is on the backburner and the only new items will be TRU 2-packs at least we'll know where there heads are at.

From what can be inferred from the club newsletter the line will continue with the 2 packs. I think I was told the 3 packs will be phased out but I might be wrong about that.
