My wife loves Girl Genius. LOVES it. So does her best friend, and I must admit, I'm a pretty big fan too. So after examining Cyberverse Hatchet while reading the latest installment, I got the idea of repainting two or three of them into Castle Heterodyne's Fun-Sized Mobile Agony and Death Dispensers. AKA The Devil Dogs. Then I got to thinking about the castle itself... a self-aware battle station, tied into the surrounding city, which can transform itself at will and can self-repair given enough power... hmmmmmmm...

I've more than a few scrap and parts-only TFs. A bit low on cities though. I'm thinking a damaged Metroplex would be perfect for the job. Especially if I try to plug some Micromaster bases in.

Too ambitious? Too crazy? Any thoughts? My painting skills and modding skills are basic at best, but this idea seems too good not to try. Especially the Hatchets.

Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm curious what the response might be.

The kitbash would need a lot of texture paneling and assorted turrets etc to match Castle Heterodyne, but as long as the resulting robot mode looked more like a clank than a Cybertronian, it'd fit into the world of Europa well.

Autobot symbols replaced with trilobites, hypertech cannons with spark-created death rays, the head with the face of the Chapel of Bones, perhaps, and a little internal compartment where a Spark or Seneschal figure can sit on the throne of Faustus Heterodyne, BM-Megatron style.

The more I look around at Ebay and such, the more I'm convinced a scrap G1 Scorponok would do the trick. Head's easy to replace/fiddle with, there's a chest/main body compartment for the throne of Faustus, the city mode has a nice big central tower to put a trilobite on... it's got some curves and bits here and there... the tail stinger would make a good tesla coil... Oooooooh... Yes. Yes, I think this could work...
