The bright white kills my eyes. Is there another skin that would invert the colors?

had a thought when looking through some of the Gallery pages the other night. How about "tagging" what toys are in a pic? There are a lot of really good comparison pics with different versions of the same mold, or the same character, or even just others from a wave/line, but unless it is the same character, the recommendations thing at the bottom doesn't often list them. I've seen a couple of times where there's been a toy doing a photobomb in someone else's gallery and I've been keen to find out who/what it is, and had to do quite a bit of digging to find out.

Been making a few custom thumbnails for the toy galleries for the last couple of days. If you're ever thinking of giving the toy galleries thumbnails, let me know, as I've been making a few custom thumbnails for the toy galleries for the last couple of days just in case you might want them. If you want to use them, and If you'd like me to carry on making thumbnails for all the galleries, let me know and I'll make as many as you need. If you'd like me to become part of your main staff, let me know. Most of the one's I've made so far can be found on this forum post: custom-seibertron-gallery-thumbnails-t100041.php

When you have a news item that is posted in an existing forum thread, how about have the discussion link go to that post in the thread? I will often be curious to see the reaction of something, but when the link brings me to page 1 of 60 for some generic, catch all thread and the update I'm interested in is on page 54... :roll: Either that or have all news items have their own thread.

Well, there is a search bar at the top.

As for each bit of news having its own thread... we used to do that, but it became meticulous and difficult to track, so we're pushing for megathreads.

How do you search for a news post? If it's a megathread and the news item is about, say, voyager Grimlock, would 'Grimlock' not likely get you like 100 returns in a 60 page thread? At that point you're better off just clicking the last page and start working your way back. Anyhow, it was just a suggestion on how to make the site better, like the thread asks for... It's up to yalls whether to do anything with it or not.

I just can't get on with these mega threads, I may be missing some piece of info on how to get to the relevant part of the thread a news item refers to but I generally end up looking at discussion on something else and I dont know where I am. The flow seems to be messed up.

That is the best idea I have ever heard. Though I don't think that'll ever happen because the site is huge and it'll take months or a year for the app to be finished.

I was away for a month and I discovered something rather annoying, it's flippin' difficult to go through the news pages on your way to the beginning of May.

My suggestion, for those of us who are out of contact, is that you (Besides the year system, 2013, 2014, ect.) can select month's from that year!

It'd go a long way into narrowing down times when a certain piece of news was on that you really need to find. The instance being that t-shirt that was sighted this last year at AOE filming that had a suspicious silhouette of, who now know to be Grimmy, in his movie design (Give people a chance at seeing what he'll look like in bot mode.)

If only Seibertron.com would send me free toys on a regular basis, it would be perfect.

Hi! I am totally new to Seibertron. I don't see(maybe I missed it) a single place where we can introduce ourselves and get to know how this forum works. Is there any way possible we can have someplace to post to introduce ourselves and ask questions? Thanks in advance either way and bye for now!!

Just drop a thread in the General Discussion forum.

You should be able to put more customization when making profiles like classes such as gunner, soldier, etc. (they wouldnt give bonuses it would just make every user feel more unique.) Also make a closed thread about the cybertronian body part terms like

Eye = Optic

Ear = Sonic Receptor

Brain = CPU

and so on, to use it as a cheat sheet of sorts for rping. :)

Actually this doesn't sound to shabby. I also think that you should be able to customize your weapon without having to stick to an actual TF weapon. Of course there should be a language filter in place. Last thing we need is some troll with a D***gun (That ain't Dirgegun BTW :P )

Yeah, cuz I constantly have to look up the cybertronain anatomy terms and its hard to find them. Also a thread for time in cybertron. Like a cycle is what, a ___ is how long etc. And you could include a description for what the gun does.

I have nothing against megathreads, I think they are fun. But that doesnt mean we cant add a link to the megathread which the news belongs to at the bottom of a certain news item. I think that would help improve megatheads since people would now know on which thread to post a particular comment.

In short, posting a link to the thread where we can talk about a piece of news at the end of a news announcement would work wonders

I second that. Or at laest find a way to say what other toy is in the photo.

I was just looking at the Strafe gallery and I saw a comparison pic with a red eyed Strafe. Which toy is that? If there was an accompanying blurb of come kind on those specific pictures(either in the photo title/descripiton or a tag), it could help a lot.

I would greatly appreciate this as well. It wouldn't have to be a tag but just a list of who else is included. Sometimes it is very difficult to track down who are the extra Transformers. Thanks if possible.

When you click on the link "see discussion" for a specific news item, it would be very handy to land on the post with the actual news, like that everything below is the discussion pertaining to it. All you would have to do is have that link be a link to the post and not the thread.

I suggested the same thing at the top of this page...it was unfortunately blown off. With the new unfriendly megathread format it would seem the logical thing to do if it's possible, but whatevs.

I take it the megathread format is the longer pages? It really bugs me for my comic and other peoples comics. I have to refresh often to see pics that have failed to load due to the massive amount of pics on a thread...

Megathread format is taking a broad topic, AOE Toys for example, and cramming everything related to it in that one thread. So your page counts get out of control and finding the content you're actually looking for is difficult. Then a news post gets front paged with the latest AOE toy to be announced and you click the link to go check out the posts about said toy and it takes to you the first post on page one of the megathread...so if you're like me and find it not worth the hassle to go digging for the relevant posts, you just skip it and move on instead.

This is a suggestion for an additional button to be added to each post.

When a post, like many, veer off topic or get darn right tiresome, perhaps a small button/checkbox (of sorts) could be clicked to collapse or expand that post.
I would guess this may only be available once Logged On.

This would streamline the thread without losing any comments, despite the silly ones!

Just a thought... :-B
